My neighborhood has been shooting off fireworks for well over a week now. I have one dog who is scared to pieces every night. It's getting real old, please if you are one who wants to set off fireworks for a week or two straight please think about the animals that can't handle the noise and the veterans who can have reactions to the ones that sound like ammunition that would be used in war situations.
I love fireworks...ON july 4th or New Year's eve. Doing extended light offs, even for a few dsys is just discourteous. If I know they are coming, I can make sure my pets are as safe and co,fortable as possible.
Same here, my daughter & son-in-law have been taking our 12 yr old furrbaby w bad anxiety, to the hills 45 min away, dang neighbors have all illegal ones here. Sickening. Vet told us she could have a stroke as hard as she shakes & pants, we tried everything, pills, holistic, wraps, etc.
I don't know if it was the same video, but someone cut down a tree and it had 4, yes 4, copperheads inside it. Please be careful and have an exit path.
Put a 3-4" round stick, 1 1/2" long, in the cage. They will love learning to fly up to it. Maybe a shorter stick next to it, like a step. They are jumpers. As their wings grow, jumping becomes flying!
My daughter has way over 300 chickens n guineas ,plus turkeys n pullets. Not including the 6 pairs of peacock n pen hens!! They free range n definitely eat well. They get more eggs 5han they will ever need. They just always give them way.. They are blessed enough that all the neighbors fed them all their leftovers n scraps. Remember they are all carnivores!!
Hey Kyle you need Chad to fly his drone around your property to look for the nest. Or wear a beekeepers suit to look for them in the tall grass to protect you from ticks.
I love your animals!! The goats seem to know their names which tickles me. The goats and Herc are such a great team. The goats are much more disciplined than they used to be. I love them all. I hope you find the missing bird-bird. You guys work so very hard!!😊
Hello Kyle and Shanon, The guineas are looking so good. Growing like the proverbial weeds! It is good that you Kyle realized Shanon had a good point in cleaning the goat pen. Now all you need to do is hope that the guineas will pick a NEW nesting site! Love and prayers to all the Doss families!
Beautiful day for cleaning. I think maybe some lime would help with the goat pen. I love those little guinea's. It makes me want some of our own guineas. Good job. 😂❤❤❤🙏
HELLO KYLE AND SHANON ❤😊 I HOPE YOUR GUINEA SHOWES BACK UP. THE BABY BIRDS ARE SO CUTE.❤ HERC LOVES PRINCESS NALLA🐶🐶💜 GREAT JOB MATKING THE TREES AND RAKING THE GOAT PEN. 🎉 JUST LOVE WATCHING THE GOATS AND PUPPYS😊 MY BOY BUBBA WAS WATCHING WITH ME. HE LOVES ALL THE PUPPIES AND GOATS🐶❤️ HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND KIDS😊
The babies are so cute and growing fast. I sure hope that one lost comes back. Good hubby, Kyle, doing the last part of raking all out of goats areas. I could sit for hrs just watching the animals. You two so much fun watching and listening to y'all. Love and hugs as always
I think that Herc was concerned about losing his bones when you were raking 😊 The keets are thriving 👍 Spruce is quite the entertainer 😅 Blessings to you both 🙏🙏🕊🕊🥰💕💕
It is so funny to watch you guys now compared to when you first bought your land, you look like you’ve been farming for years, Shannon just gets right in there down and dirty not like the beginning lol. You have both educated yourselves about your animals, insects, snakes, birds, gardening, buildings and carrying for your land, you have come a long way in a rather short period of time, WAY TO GO YOU TWO! I can’t wait to see what’s in your future, ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦
Jean, you are right Shanon & Kyle are entirely different people from when they were first out on the property.. Two young city kids with no idea what they were in for with everything grown up and a run down house and barn that couldn’t be salvaged but they just got started and look at them now Shady Acres with Kyle and Shanon Doss 💟✝️🙌👖🥾🧢🐐🐐🐐🦮🦮🐕🦺🚜🪜🧰🪛🔧🔨🪚🪓🌄❤️🤍💙 Kyle still has his ability to make his projects perfect only he can do that much faster. Shanon has proven to herself that she is capable of doing so many more things than she thought, she ripped pallets apart so she could build with them, she was right in there with all that digging and trenching and rock picking they were doing, the “Bird Herd” don’t scare her anymore and she is learning how to drive a tractor.. The best thing to happen at Shady Acres is Shanon and Kyle are growing their homestead with the garden and a new structure to include future chickens and growing the new keets so they can become another army against the ticks, a new structure for the growing Bruno who will get his job assignment as soon as his training is done.. Love you guys.. Excited for what happens next…
Consider topping with course sand. It should help the pooling and absorption. Real happy about the Little's. Hopefully you just have a nester. Will see.
The look on Herc's face when you were raking was priceless. He was really afraid you would uncover his bones. Thanks for sharing this video with us. Hope the lost guinea will come back. The nine in the brooder look very very healthy...growing like weeds. Stay cool and have a Blessed day.
The good thing is, you can compost the dog poo!! Just not the same compost to be used in garden beds. However, dog poo composted (such as that plus the goat poo and straw or hay in the goat pen) can be used, with those other things you were raking up, in its own compost pile. Then, be used as mulch in areas that will not also be home to edible plants or other food source herbaceous trees, plants etc. So not even herbs. But want to make the ground pretty around thr trees you are keeping? Mulch 'em with the mulch that contains dog poo! Just not trees near the garden. Love that the keets are growing like mad! It will soon be warm enough for them outdoors, even if they are kept in their own sheltered pen. Mario lives on in his sons!! too cute!! Love your petting zoo, it's gotta be worth all the hard work you have both put into thi land. I hope soon you find a solution for further protecting or shading your camper. Some people actually build a roofed structure with a bit of a slope to the roof so snow doesn't make it come crashing down. I can pass on a couple of examples if you would like, just let me know. Have a great upcoming week! Thank you so much for sharing bits of your life with us. Know that your love for each other is really a wonderful example. May blessings continue!
Oh the keets are doing good. Herc was really concerned about his bones he's hidden. Good to see ya. Nice clean up of pen.❤😊 Hope it day's out quickly for you. Ya need about 50 guineas to help on tick population if not more. Hope you find their nest soon. Great video as usual. Teamwork makes dream work.❤
😂😂😂😂Oh my goodness, you guys!!! What a fun video! Great teamwork, Kyle and Shanon! I was afraid Shanon we wouldn't see you like the last video! It's kinda like watching Beauty and the Beast without the Beauty!!! Uhhh, Uh-oh, did I say that outloud?! 😂😂❤❤ You're not a Beast Kyle unless you're the Beast of a chainsaw or tractor master! 😉😉🥰 I can't....I just can't with the Spruce interactions. It really is him talking, right? There is no way it's not him!! So much fun, and Shanon just goes right along with the conversation! Thank y'all so much!! Y'all make my heart smile! God bless and prayers for all needs/requests. Please keep Texas in your prayers with the hurricane coming. Not that I wish it on anyone or any place, but Beryl was coming right at us (RGV), and it turned more northeast, so we may get just a very little rain from it. Praise the Lord! 🙏🙏🙏❤️ PS. Herc when you wear mud boots it's to keep mud off your feet, not boots made of mud!! 😂❤🐕
Great job getting the CRAP out of the goat pen - Don’t forget to put DE or Lime to help reduce the bacteria levels that fresh soil holds or your goats can get very sick ❤ Great job 👏
Hi Shannon and Kyle great video nice to see you Shannon missed you last time. Glad the nicer weather enables you to get things done and the goats enjoying themselves grazing. The little Keats are cute And growing quickly. Hope You have a fantastic weekend take care God bless 💕🙏
If you're looking for something to do with the manure/hay, I would build a pile that chickens can dig through and turn it, with some water and piling it will turn into soil that you can use as fill dirt to level out some low spots.
From what I have researched for my novel that I am writing, if you take the manure and pile it, it should after a year will be compost for the ground and garden.
The keets are well able to eat the meal worms. You might try offering them some and see if you can't get them to eat out of your hand. A lot of people offering them on the 2nd day from hatching.
My neighborhood has been shooting off fireworks for well over a week now. I have one dog who is scared to pieces every night. I totally agree with you.Totally infantile
I gave my dog benedryl when thunder scared him. Give it to your dog before time for them to start.
I love fireworks...ON july 4th or New Year's eve. Doing extended light offs, even for a few dsys is just discourteous. If I know they are coming, I can make sure my pets are as safe and co,fortable as possible.
I agree. So not fair to neighbors and/or their pets.
I hope the missing Gennie is just sitting on the nest. ❤
Hopefully she’s just sitting.
Maybe the missing guinea is sitting on a nest somewhere.
Hercules looked a little nervous, he knew his bone was buried there! What a helper crew you had😆
Kyle, Don't you know? Shannon's always right! 😂😂😂🌞
Maybe Guinea #7 is sitting on the nest of eggs?
Put some lime down it will help the smell
Lol Herc stayed in with Kyle to protect his buried treasures.
Get the lime out!! That will sweeten the soil and keep the fly larvae from hatching! It will also dry everything up.
Definitely need put lime down 😊
You two are just the cutest couple 😊❤❤❤
I think fireworks for people and animal safety should be only at stadiums on the day being remembered not all week long.
Funny how Herc was checking for his bone as you were cleaning the pen. ❤
I hope the missing guinea shows back up. The babies are really cute.
Herc says " not my bone stash or my stuffies". Their mine 😊🥰
God bless ya'll ❤❤❤
The guineas are so fun to watch. Hard work, but totally worth it.
Everything is looking great -
❤
Keets are doing really well. Hope the frightened one returns . Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
I hope your bird returns . Thanks for sharing. 😍
Great job! You're properly is looking amazing! Love you all so much! Continued prayers! God bless ❤

Howdy Kyle and Shanon, God bless you both and your whole family...🙏🙏🙏
You have some awesome goats love them. I love how you have the gunnies answer to bird bird. God bless
Nice work.
Great job Kyle the goat pen looks great and the keys are growing fast nice to see the feathers coming in❤️🇨🇦
Just watched another channel. As they cut a tree down, the inside was loaded with snakes. Be careful especially for the poisonous ones…
🤢😳
I don't know if it was the same video, but someone cut down a tree and it had 4, yes 4, copperheads inside it. Please be careful and have an exit path.
Please be careful😮

Y'all can put down some Lyme to sweeten up the ground plus keeps the smell down!! I recommend it.
Prayers and hugs for you all and whoever may need them ❤️ God bless you all ❤ Love you all and the animals ❤️

Didn't Spruce do that when he was younger. The kids are just too cute. Stay safe everyone.
Those baby guineas are good-looking. It's amazing how the incubator works.
Beautiful day for cleaning. I think maybe some lime would help with the goat pen. I love those little guinea's. It makes me want some of our own guineas. Good job. 😂❤❤❤🙏

Kyle, I had 15 head of horses on 2 acres. We used lime on the piles of poop. Might want to try it!

Not sure how late I am, but I'm here now. 🙂
Hi Guys ❤ Thanks for sharing your time and your videos with all of us ❤😊
Always a good day to see a new video from Shady Acres. 😊

What we've done also in the past is to tip your bucket up on one of the edges probably the back one and then reverse and it can really scrapes
