It makes me wonder why they left this out. It kind of sets up the interrogation scene nicely, although Cooper does come across slightly menacing which is entirely out of character.
It's an unnecessary scene. By the time we see the two in the room we know what is happening. All the info conveyed he is clear in context later too. Most likely just yo cut down runtime. I love seeing dale in the og thin tie suit, but yeah this scene is pretty redundant. I think the sequence flows a lot better without it too.
