Carrie was one of my childhood heroes as Leia. She and Vader were my favorite film characters until early adulthood. Into my adulthood I began to fully understand Carrie as a person, and thought she was bizarre and awesome. Her interviews are always a hilarious disaster that were pure joys to watch. Her cameo on 30 Rock was fucking amazing.
Leia and her potential to be a hugely important character in the current SW franchise were what had me most hyped about the series... was she the secret new sith? Who knows.
This has truly left me heartbroken, as someone who has never been particularly interested in celebrity death news before. It will likely be years before I fully comprehend that Carrie Fisher is gone.

Im devastated! Such an untimely death of a really iconic actor and a really down-to-earth, cool woman off-screen. She will always be a princess to me. As a huge Star Wars fan from childhood, I feel a gaping hole inside. Celebrity deaths never phase me but hers is really really sad and unfortunate. I hope they honor her in the credits of Episode VIII. She is DEARLY loved by family and millions of fans and will definitely be missed. Her impact in cinema history, her fans, and her sense of humor and amazing personality will live on.
