Since I was late posting this on the last video: You should rename "New Numenor" to "Azruzadna," which means "Sea Home" in Adunaic, the language of Numenor.
Nice intro by Miss Izzy, great video man. The AA has such a unique gameplay that’s so interesting how everyone can have a different experience. Love the approach you’re taking so far, keep up the good work.
I still recommend extreme caution when going after Gondor. Doing so opens you up to being hit in the rear from Harad as you're now directly in their path of expansion. The same goes for Khand. If Gondor falls too quickly then you'll have to deal with Harad, Mordor, and possibly Khand should they stay loyal to the shadow. If Khand does decide to side with the Blue Wizards, I recommend getting an alliance with them as it gives you a friend in the region. First order of business though is finishing off the weakened Dol Amroth, that gives you one less enemy to have to deal with, especially when the Haradrim inevitably show up to say hello and then give me your lands.
29:34 Indeed. Historically, the first thing a commoner would equip himself with when/if he went to war was a shield, then a spear and if he could afford it a helmet (usually a thick wool cap, cus iron be expensive). War, in a way, was an opportunity to make money with a relatively low chance of dying on the battlefield (diseases and wound infections being a far more likely way to die).
I was watching izzy walkthrough of gondor episode 6 I think and if he didn't win the first battle in the vid he might of lost the game, it just makes me happy that izzy is mostly focusing on the numenorean type things these last walkthroughs, hell even the angmar campaign had the witch king wanting revenge against the numenorean remnants. Numenor is just my favorite race/faction ever thing to its rise to its fall and then being reborn into arnor and gondor.🤗 this text was longer than expected🤣
Small note on the conscription camps, law actually affects public order more than the text says it will. I believe its 1.25x? That -30% law in Dol Amroth was actually -35% public order. (110% -> 75%)
Maybe something for the story as it progresses is to have diaries from AA soldiers about how they are so far from home and some done by Gondorian conscripts worried the AA would treat them as expendable fodder. ALSO The first pikemen you get are Harad's Southwand Pikemen
Pelargir would be 3rd biggest port of Middle-Earth. It was main haven of Faithul in 2nd age. Maybe Long Daer would be matched with Pelargir in terms of importance and size.
Hello friend, I recommend that you send the merchant to the mines of Ethirgh and Tarnost, they are also very good and especially if he has built them. Not only that, do not underestimate your nearby regions such as the Harad and Isengard desert, you do not have to go that far.
The pikeman animation is the strongest in M2, only balanced by how easy their formation breaks. But in this mod the secondary sword animation is removed, taking away their only weakness. Lategame you can spam whatever pikes you like and ranged troops and just destroy everything
Have you checked for mercenaries, Izzy? There are some good mercenary cav units available. You might be able to send a force to take Osgiliath, and start developing it to act as FOB to attack Mordor.
you have launch an attack too early before the unit of cav are ready never underestimate the importance of preparation and planification when you make a military operation
You should rename Dol Armroth to Kadar-Adûnakhôr. Meaning "City of the Western Lord" as well the first King to take the mantle of Ar and to use Adunaiac in their titles and names. Methrast maybe Azra-zâin, sea lands or Maritime Regions.
Good old Izzy made a replay on Ar adunaim but with a plan and improve.... Kind of. But anyway keep a good work. Make Numenor great again Edit: Now i'm thinking about it. Ar Adunaim is basically the Roman Empire but in lotr
Nice progress. Ethring is where the Morthond (Blackroot) Vale is. But Tarnost is a very, very good take (paying 1:1 for it is totally worth it) and Lond Galen will help your finances a lot. I don't think Lond Galen has the Ballista towers, based on the UI, but I could be mistaken. In any case, Tarnost will be able to break any Gondorian army that assaults it, if they don't bring ballistae and catapults to smash your towers first. Luckily, the AI often goes for an assault rather than just siege you out, since they don't account for the garrison script nor the OP ballista towers. As for the Merchant, if you want to try and squeeze every bit of income from him, try to end the movement on a resource. However, you should only do this if it doesn't slow you too much. It is not worth spending an extra turn over one small resource, but if you figure it takes you 10 turns to get up to Shire, getting like extra 50gp per turn might be worth it even if it takes you a turn or two longer to get there. Really depends on the merchant's maintenance and how much you can get from a resource.
I am fairly certain Lond Galen has the ballista towers - Gondorian settlements get them fairly quickly (but I guess we'll find out very very soon!) Good advice with the merchant - I think we can definitely get A LOT of money from our merchants, and we shouldn't encounter too many hostile takeovers in that area :)
Raiding up the anduin in the heart of Gondor might give them doomstacks to face the main threat (Mordor) and provide extra economic income for the true heirs of Nûmenor. This way it might concentrate more of Gondor's martial prowess to the main threat that is Mordor instead of Gondor with an extra income. It's maybe a bit risky, but it is would certainly be a plot interesting from the AA's perspective (especially if you sell the cities taken by raids to Mordor, further incentivising Gondor's doomstack to take these back).
@@lordoblivion8038 yeah I last played a while back, the basic gameplay of "conquer humans, take their cavalry and curbstomp everyone" was already in place and some units looked vaguely Roman, but those shields are new.
You sounded a bit strange at the start. ;) Good to hear her again. Is Miss Izzy going to be continuing her campaign of conquest of the medieval world? Your right most barren regions do give the extra +1 on culture. Did read the faction intro before I started but that was a while back as I'm a significantly slower player than you. You do realise, if you want it, having taken a capital you can get a 2nd diplomat and start trying to get some trade links. Good that you will be going for Umbar and also taking out Sauron although I think you would really need to do that before you take the northern coastline else your going to be very stretched.
@@IzzyTotalWar pues parece bastante bien :) Btw, when you finish with the west side of Gondor and you start to stabilize and recruit, you should try and get umbar and wage war with the bad guys, or they might be way too much to handle later on, as you are crippling Gondor and Dol Amroth but giving them free rain. With a bit of luck the blue wizards will succeed and they'll have some problems at home too. Getting a temporary alliance with the tribes in the north west of Gondor would help keeping a front closed while you focus on the east.

I was like "what's going on" when girls voice started intro. It was great btw.

Dorian Winston Yeah, and I absolutely love the look of Gondorian and Amrothian conscripted troops
@@LizardWizard403 yeah, a shame Gondor Knjghts aren't on the Alcoholics Anonymous shopping list though
