Some songs sound more 3D holographic.
Vocalist is a little less forward on the NAD C298 than my Parasound 2125v2…NAD sounds more balanced between the vocalist and instruments.
Piano sounds more real.
Bass is tighter.

Lower volume ‘Miss Saigon’ or some poorly recorded Elvis songs are clearer so I don’t have to crank the volume
NAD C298 is 25 lbs and barely warm! Zero speaker hiss/buzz when paused.

Very nice setup, congrats, no black ain't boring lol. NAD is awesome. I recently traded my C326BEE (mint) & I miss her dearly but such is life. I had it hooked up to an Amber Series 70 driving 2 Dahlquist DQ12 (I had 2 Jamo floor standers before on the NAD itself, sounded great too) & what an amazing sound! The C326BEE's stock 50W were plenty sufficient too, I just loved the extra detail, "oomph" and reserve the Series 70 had (70W x2 @ 8 Ohms)
Yeah, I'm new to NAD but from what I've read about the history and independent measurements, NAD amps are more powerful than their published specs.
Regarding blackness, my only audio jewelry are my 2 gold power cables (iFi Silentpower Supanova with active noise cancelling).

I have c399 and c658 in combination with primary a35.2. You are absolutely right, the soundstage is great but also more powerful than the Primare. If I compare it with the C399, I was a fool to choose this combination. primare sounds boring in terms of sound.
