As much as I love my Parasound 2125v2 for my GoldenEar BRX (bought it last year when you and your friend reviewed compared to the Kef LS50 meta and I too did the same comparison), I've upgraded to the NAD C298 (similar to NAD M23).
My Parasound moved to powering the surround L/R speakers in a mixed use music/movies 7.4.4 setup and movies sound better.

Currently I'm running the M23 paired with a NAD C658, on B&W 803 D4 with dual B&W DB1 subs, and I am enjoying this immensely. I've been waiting for the M66 to get HT bypass, and then it's time for a upgrade to the M66😎 Especially because of the dirac bass control💥😄
Thanks...lovely piece of gear. I love my M33, the Class D sound of the future!
Dirac base control is around $600-800 I think. So being included in the m66 is actually amazing
You have my dream system.. ...you have good taste! There's no way I could afford this, but bravo👌👍💪👊
Would love to listen to this system.
I have the NAD m17/m28 for my home theater. It is amazing. Sounds much better than my classe that was double the price.
You should try the Anthem avm 90, I've sold my Nad m-17 v2i for the avm 90. NO REGRETS....
@@invisibles362 why did you sell it?
@@Urahara12squad Needed more than one independent subwoofer output . The M-17 as 2 subwoofer output, and only calibrate as one. The HDMI board was outdated on the M-17. Avery time I've contacted Nad for upcoming upgrades. They always had and excuse. EX . To had more subwoofer output and new HDMI 2.1 ETC... they came out whit the M66 whit Dirac Bass control, witch as 4 subwoofer output should be as and upgrade for the M-17. It is their home theater processor, and no Bass control upgrade, no multi subwoofer independent calibration, i could go on and on, but you get some of the picture. The Anthem AVM 90, as a warmer sound, better subwoofer integration. Didn't even had to go in the room calibration to had more bass independently. I had to play whit Dirac to have better subwoofer integration with my room, and had 3 DB for more bass. ARC Genesis dose a Amazing job of calibrating multi sub . The sound is warmer whit my equipment, the center is more transparent, and dialogue are easier to understand .....I could go own but you should get the picture by now. I bought the Nad M-17 V2I for the MDC card, but Nad is only concentrating on there 2 channels for the last few years M33, M66, M23, and forgot about there Home theater processor, And they lost the race with the Anthem AVM 90 and the new Marantz AV10.....
I also picked up a AVM90...I'm curious though, how is ARC vs Dirac? Which one should better to you? @@invisibles362
@@invisibles362 Meh, I had Anthem before NAD. Capacitors all broke after ~ 10 years and I had to write off D1+A5. Now I am on NAD M17v2i+M28
When i compared my class a/b to the Purifi's, I felt the same. But once you stop a/bing them, the bass is perfect on the Purifi's.
The reasoning to the difference in the bass is because the Purifi's have a crazy low output impedance (.000065)/ultra high damping factor (123,076 @ 8 ohms). The lower your DF, the fatter and boomier your bass will be.
Whats up with the new trend of giving 4ohm ratings on new amps nstead of 8 ohms? Pretty shady and frustrating for customers. Bigger numbers look better i guess. Look closely now, they're pullin the old switcheroo!
digital volume ? so if i use analog in the signal go through the adc then the dac ?
Not a digital volume control. Ladder resistors. You can program the analog inputs to stay analog from input to output if wanted. It will bypass Dirac, bass management and VU meters
@@bjo1194 ok thanks
Or save 10K and buy an Eversolo DMP-A8 and a Buckeye PURIFI 1ET400A. Same spec and the same sound.
Does sound tempting ...saving 10grand!!🤑🤯
Nad, is not built like it use to. ..
And they make new editions to fast.
One word : overpriced!
Gee, I assume you came to this conclusion after your lengthy "personal" listening session with these components vs. whatever "cheaper" gear you currently own?🤔
...Otherwise you sound like mommy and daddy really need to restrict your internet privileges.🙄
❤❤❤😂🎉🎉 good morning my beautiful people
hello shan , prelistens are rated at 4 ohms, NAD m23 in bridged mono recommended is 8 ohms, did u run into any problem.. bcoz I am looking for the same step up..
No problem at all.
I’m in the same boat. I want to run my M33 and M23 combo into 4ohm speakers that are supposedly “power hungry”. I’m worried that NAD don’t recommend it. If you’re passing off the hardest low frequencies to a sub, maybe it’s ok?..
Have you caught wind of all the T778s that have been failing? It’s 3 years old and the amp modules have blown. I went online and saw in NAD groups that this is a well known and common problem. When I reach out to them, they told me I’m out of luck and that my $3000 paper weight is out of warranty!! WTH
imagine if NAD made m23 mono amp that provided 600+ watts into 4 ohms. Would love to see something like that esp when gene said bridge mono on the m23 is good for only 8ohm speakers.
Which one did you prefer, Cambridge stack or the NAD stack?
The NAD gets the win.

Looks nice
What microphone do you use for Dirac?
Umik
umik-1 or umik-2
Class D = no thanks
Do you still use a carriage as well? 😂
All Nad amps these days are class D, this isn’t anything new.
@@HighResStereo and still we are waiting on anything convincing. I heard the AGD's should sound decent.
