The intangible value of Clayton that you won't see on paper is that the people are very friendly, maybe because it's a small town and not a cut throat dense city, and a lot of the town users the same common resources so you will cross paths a bit with neighbors and friends. These to me are huge pluses when trying to reestablish socially. Also you will see a lot of wild life on a regular basis due to its location. Is it far from freeways and Walnut Creak dt ammenities, sure...but with that distance comes a town with a totally diffferent feel and vibe. In my book these are all huge pluses.

Great video on Clayton. Been here for a little over 40 years and we love it. It is a 15-20 drive to Walnut Creek city line, but more like 30-40 minutes to downtown WC or any of the two freeways 680/24 or 4 during commute hours. :-)

I’ve been to Clayton many many times. I’ve also live in Pleasant Hill.
Clayton is super nice, but I'd personally pick Pleasant Hill simply because you have much better access to freeways and transit there.

@@Soccerryan7 Enjoy it. I grew up there and I miss every bit of it. Such a beautiful place to live. Concord is such a drastic change though so it feels like such a small community. I am in Texas now and it feels like I'm living in the movie Mad Max compared to Clayton lol. Hike Mt Diablo when you can with friends it is such an awesome experience.
Their fixer upper homes we get it, it’s a great place to raise kids after that you might want to join the real world again (Or maybe not).
