- OMG This song was ridiculously hard to mix like the others. I do apologize for it being so late however after countless failed mixes, computer crashing and losing files I've decided to do a mashup. This is basically the original mix combined with the new mix so it's the best I can do so don't beat me down if you don't like it -_-
Anyways this leaves one Desperado left and hopefully it will be much better than this one. Please enjoy...

Fun fact the voice actor of sundowner is the voice for firefly in arkham origins and knight.
I knew they sounded kinda similar. He also voices Winston from Overwatch I think.

It's fitting Sundowner's an easy boss - when you look at the people he fought before Raiden, you'll note Sundowner's basically a bully who specifically targets people weaker than himself - the Prime Minister of wherever-it-is, the kids he de-brained, etc. He's not actually tough, he just looks tough because he's really good at beating up those weaker than him. It fits his Darwinistic view on things - to him, violence isn't just acceptable but desirable: the strong kill the weak, and that's just how things work.
But there's more to it.
Raiden subverts Sundowner's ideas by...not pulling the brains out of children, not being a social Darwinist, etc. Sundowner's personal philosophy - his memes, as Monsoon would put it - is INCREDIBLY fucking weak, in that all it takes for him to be proven wrong is someone like Raiden, who's both more powerful than someone else and yet not exploitive of them. Not murdering people just because you have the chance to do so, not deliberately starting wars for entertainment/purpose, giving money to a homeless person, and basic human decency in general - that's ALL it takes to prove that Sundowner's ideas are utter bullshit. You - the person reading this comment - going about your everyday life in a normal fashion? That's all it takes to show that Sundowner is wrong.
Of COURSE it's fitting, by the standards of MGR, that Sundowner's a weak boss - his IDEAS are incredibly weak!

Sundowner's view of things is that humans are inherently animalistic savages who, when their life situation boils down to brass tacks, will gladly prey upon the weak in some kind of nightmarish social-Darwinist dystopia. This is a perspective that Monsoon also shares, but that's a different story. However, *both of them are completely wrong*.
Here's a question for you: is that actually how people behave, or does the exceptionally skewed way the world is portrayed by social/mass media - essentially the only lens some people view the world through these days - make you THINK - inaccurately - that's what the world is like?
Contrary to popular belief/Sundowner's belief, most people are not, in fact, sociopaths waiting to rape, murder, or kill people the second they have a chance, and most modern-day people do not, in fact, believe that the strong should exterminate or rule the weak. If that were the case, the world would be exceptionally more fucked up than it is today; for instance, if most people were not altruists or at the very least interested in civil conduct, I guarantee you democracies would not exist, because democracies are based on civil conduct and people valuing one other, even if they disagree or their goals/morals are at odds to one another..
Sundowner's social-Darwinist views are a cynical, misanthropic, and highly inaccurate view of how humans work. Those who believe what Sundowner does usually do so because they, themselves, are fucked-up people who are trying to tell themselves that everyone's just as bad as they are, so as to justify their own fucked-up behavior to themselves. Think about that: even fucked-up people will try to justify their own fucked-upness, because if they didn't, they'd stop themselves. Inherently bad people don't do that - they don't self-correct. Inherently good people are never fucked up in the first place. But inherently NEUTRAL people - THOSE are the types of people who will be fucked up but try to fix it. I'd say that's what humanity is - inherently neutral.
If you want another example of this besides those two, observe - I shit you not - the modern-day military-industrial complex. Lockheed Martin, a fine embodiment of it, built something called the Hellfire R9X, which is a Hellfire anti-tank missile whose explosive warhead has been replaced with a set of gigantic pop-out knife blades. It is specifically designed to be launched from a Predator/Reaper/Avenger/Mojave drone to assassinate military and political figures its operator (usually the United States) doesn't like.
How is this an example of humans not being inherently shitty? Well, if humans were inherently shitty, this missile variant never would have come into existence, since its sole purpose is to minimize collateral damage - since it doesn't explode, and "only" rams its target and cuts it to shreds (you say), innocent bystanders are spared. Now, you might counter-argue that this is simply a cynical PR ploy, which came about so as to minimize public outcry over collateral deaths from US drone strikes, but, if that's the case: think about WHY there's public outcry over collateral damage from US drone strikes.
Either:
- people are so torn up over complete strangers being blown up that there's a legitimate PR gain to be made for Lockheed Martin in not blowing those complete strangers up
or:
- Lockheed Martin, a penultimate example of the military-industrial complex - one of the most soulless institutions in modern history - genuinely cares about collateral damage so much that it tries to minimize it via designing missiles that are specifically built to avoid killing innocent people.
Think about these things.
I could list many, many, more examples of humans not being inherently fucked up, but this comment is long, insane, and ramble-y enough. All I'll close this with is that taking any one view of humanity - "it's evil", "it's good", "it's insane", "we're a virus", "we're not a virus, we're special" - all of these are bullshit. Truth lies in nuance, not in the pithy, edgy one-liners of some cyborg Texan swordsman fighing an cyborg Liberian ninja on the roof of a collapsing building. As much as I like MGR, the sociopolitical ideologies espoused in it are idiotic. Fun, but idiotic. Raiden's is the only good one.

A great boss doesn't need hard in a game, great theme and solid reason for the fight can be the most badass one, Sundowner is one of them...
It makes sense he was weak but id say hes TOO easy. They should've made the sheilds more protective so once the sheilds are gone his true nature of just being a big bully that is only powerful against the weak shows, he would have no more wall to hide behind.
