- This video I cover the basics of how I make aesthetic-looking slider circle streams. Part 2 will continue with more stream shapes/curves and will also cover angles in streams.

i was wondering why other maps stream looks so curvy and flowy while mine looks so wonky. i was adjusting 1 slider around for one stream and that is why the shape is so weird. ive tried doing small sliders piece by piece but i didnt know about the blanket the approach circle thing and also the fact that i have to convert from back to front. thanks a lot

that's not really what ppl picture when they mention slider convert streams, personally i think of bmd and his hexagonal stream shapes and the way he focuses more on aesthetics rather than playability. tbf thats kinda what youre doing here, and i wouldnt rly suggest going down that path. slider convert streams may work for less spaced patterns, but when youre dealing with more intense things like spaced streams, slider convert creates nasty linear angles between each slider you ctrl f, making random linear spots in between the curved shapes youre trying to produce. it harms gameplay and i'd honestly just stick to distance snap in that situation (and stop worrying so much about perfect blankets and circles lol). personally i just prefer to use ds for all streams because it works in all contexts and you have much more control over your shapes and transitions. you also dont have to waste time doing sv changes
its funny u mention bmd and slider convert, cuz bmd uses hand placed XD I see what u mean tho. Tbh its all preference. You CAN do spaced streams on slider convert, i.e. my Metal Dimensions, we luv lama, asian chaos, etc. In the end i usually use a bit of both. also that bit about what ppl picture when making slider convert streams was more of a joke then anything. You can make both hand placed & slider convert play well or look well, just up to how you do it and what u want. This video was mainly to show how I do slider convert so others can maybe get new ideas on how to make streams. Maybe I should've showed some spaced streams in there somewhere with slider convert, but tbh its hard to make hand placed spaced streams play well too. It goes both ways all the time, all depends on how much experience u have and what ur going for.
@@-Tynamo reread my comment and i was kinda coming off as kind of a prick so sorry for that lol, also didnt realize bmd hand places? all his streams look really like automated for lack of a better word, so i had no idea. but yeah i still think you shouldve shown both methods, although ds streams do make for a larger margin of error since theyre hand placed, which might also make it harder to properly structure for newer mappers
