i think somehow the audio messed up while recording because there was definitely a top layer to the kick... woops. I wouldn't put something out that sounded this bad lol. got a new low end tutorial dropping this weekend so look out for that :)
hey julien, thank's for all your tutorials and insight into ableton. Is there a chance you would do a downtempo tutorial? These kind of very melodic, shamanic but still electronic deep forest kind of things... haha what a description, but i guess you know what's up!^^
Hey julien! Thanks for your effort on all your videos! I'd like to ask a question, What if for example you mix quiet and you already compress and saturate and eq and do all the things in the mixing stage, Would'nt adding even more saturation at the mastering stage would make the last master track distort? If so what is the way around it? Also do you think it's a good thing to produce with a limiter on? What's the way of being able to push more at the mastering before it gets distorted?
When i'm in the mastering i use a limiter at - 0.1db just to be sure that there isn't some frequency ove 0 db but at the producing Part i take care that there is no frequency to loud without using a limiter. I think the quality of your mix ist better when you dont have to use a limiter on the master
@@jannespreu3636 yeah I've actually tried it and found out that the more work you put in the mixing stage the less you'd have to work on the mastering stage
hey bro your tutorials is dope all the time :) but just got a question ?? why i never see you sidechain the elements of your track with the kick i mean bass , tops , shakers ??
really good tuts....but I seriously think that often there's this mistaken idea that if you learn all these technical tricks you can make good music. Horseshit. You need taste, an instinctual feel, even to know what samples or sounds are right. Maybe learn about music and learn an instrument. It all feeds in. Ableton is amazingly rich and deep but you still need feel, taste, and opinions

Can you do a tutorial on how to mix schranz tracks, especially the saturated rumble crunch
People that downvote your videos are listening to them on laptop speakers.
wicked !!
Really helpfull , thank you so much
Are you not increasing the overall volume by processing everything? Maybe do tutorial how you fix the levels after boosting with all that processing

If you processed all of your sounds while producing the track without pushing the volume, i would just use a compressor and some eq for the mastering

How did u make the bassline :)
Nice tutorial brother!

Why do you never low cut the sub on your bass? Just a big fat boost on the bottom end, surely thats detrimental to the mix?
Renay Phillips that’s the reason why we cut everything else, because the sub is literally meant to fill up those sub frequencies
Is it my speakers? This doesn't sound good at all on my sprakers
it is not your speakers, it is the mix...
@@sevollit92 Phew!! Had me worried for a minute
I'll tell it like it is, without further ado: Your track sounds cheap. Before and after applying your "secret tricks".
