Hey Justin! I just want to tell you that I have just got a new vizsla! Thank you so much for all the lovely vids you do, you were probably one of the main reasons I got a vizsla! Hope Fifa is doing well and have a great day!
EEEE, So i’m in the car, on my way to get a vizsla. Your videos are helpful because I have never had a vizsla before. Can’t wait to show my dog its new home. :)
I already have a Vizsla called Lucky, he’s 7 and a half :3 and we love him! But he’s not as easy as your Vizsla Justin. But Lucky really lies to swim tho :) and get all wet. Lucky is really pretty!!
I've had my Vizsla Louie for 6 years now and the best advice I can give is to provide lots of training and tasks as early as possible. It's said that a bored dog is a destructive dog and this is super true with vizslas. Oh, and get ready for a buddy that will never leave your side!! (And welcome to the club!)
Hi ya! Fellow Utahn here who hikes the same areas you do (except for Grandur Peak). My fiance attempted to take our pup to Dog lake recently but, he got spooked by all the bikers speeding past. I know there's several trails that connect you to Dog Lake & the trail you took looks nice & "quiet", can you share what trail you took? Maybe we will try again with him. He's usually a great little hiking companion, however, as he gets older he gets more & more afraid of loud noises. Plus, he's only 15lbs, he's small & could potentially get run over by a bike or bowled over by a large dog (which has happened several times, especially in Neffs Canyon & Bowman's/White fur pass) We're working on getting him through the loud noises & now we just pick him up anytime a large dog comes by to avoid rough housing lol! Anyways, we enjoy your videos! Maybe we'll see you sometime on the trail! In the summer time, we go super early to avoid the heat & crowds. If you haven't already, we recommend the Ferguson Trail! It's a trail that can kick your butt with the bolder scramble about half way up but, it was worth it & plenty of people bring their dogs so I'm sure your pup would do fine! Just be cautious of the large boulders & dogs have to be on leash. If you haven't already, download All Trails App & you can find the coordinates there by searching 'Ferguson Canyon View Point' (Rated Moderate) or 'Ferguson Canyon Trail to Upper Meadow' (Rated Hard). Anywho, just wanted to say hello 👋 Take care fellow adventurer 💚
You probably know this, but Millcreek is off-leash for dogs on odd-numbered days. The number of bikers drops significantly on odd days as a result. We did the Upper Big Water to Dog Lake trail. I don't like Little Water trail because it's steeper and not as shaded. I'll have to look at those trails you mentioned! I also have the All Trails Pro app. I decided to pay for the upgrades. :)
@@JustinandFifatheVizsla Oh yes, I know about the odd days. However, due to my work schedule (I work nights) we usually don't go hiking together until Sunday morning. We haven't had any issues with bikers on any other trail other than Dog Lake. I guess it's just the trail to bike lol! So you like the All Trails Pro App then? I've been debating on if I want to pay for it or not... maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info! I think we're going to attempt Dog Lake Monday, as both my fiance & I had the day off from work. Have a great weekend 😊 Take care & give that beautiful girl of yours extra lovin's for me 🥰 I'm a huge animal lover & it makes me so happy when people let their dogs be dogs & take them on adventures! She really looks like she enjoys every minute of being on the trail with you!
Good Lord you guys are an adorable pack. Question for ya... Does Fifa ever resource guard you yourself? Like when other dogs come around, does she go into "no! That's my food source!" Mode? My Vizsla Louie does this and I was just wondering if that is behavior you've seen as well.
Hey Justin! Been following your videos for a year now and I am exploring getting a Vizsla myself now! Curious to hear your opinion: can folks who work full time have a Vizsla? What about people who live in apartments? Lots of conflicting information on the internet about whether you should own a Vizsla if you're not home 24/7. Also wondering how much exercise Fifa needs per day? Keep up the content, love all your vids!
Hiya! I've had my Vizsla Louie for 6 years now. Crate train early, and do gradual amounts of time away before you leave them alone for the day. I do a 2 mile walk/ 3 mile bike ride with Lou in the morning before I go to work, and a 3 mile walk in the evening when I get home. Then lots of play, learning new tricks or tasks, and a game called "find the treat" (hiding small treats around the house) when he's still energetic. He is 100% pure energy and love, so lots of mental stimulation and outside time makes living in an apartment and having a full time job quite possible with a V. Keep in mind they do struggle with separation anxiety, so it's going to be a bit of a job to make sure they're comfortable and safe.
Yes Vizsla get grey in the face from about 5-6 yrs of age. When the whole face is white they sometimes get referred to as a sugar face, (like in icing sugar.) it is normal. Some go grey very quickly but all go white in the face.

Thank you for watching! Congrats on your new Vizsla!
I can't believe she's 5 years old already!! Keep putting out great videos :)
Thanks! She's technically 4.6 yrs old, but we're rounding right? lol
What a beautiful Vizsla!
That she is.

Exciting! Best of luck to you and your V.
Your video’s are what made me decide to get a vizsla
NICE!

I’ve been on the waiting list for my Vizsla for some 6 months now, can wait to finally have him/her. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@Justin Miles since Fifa drinks out of streams be sure to get her vaccinated against giardia. My Vizsla, Lucky, had giardia & was very sick!
Hi Justin. Is Fifa doing alright? She has grey hair, is this due to age or something else?
Yes Vizsla get grey in the face from about 5-6 yrs of age. When the whole face is white they sometimes get referred to as a sugar face, (like in icing sugar.) it is normal. Some go grey very quickly but all go white in the face.
