I’m watching Downton Abbey for the second time. I can’t get enough of the set design and costumes. I also plan to watch the Downton Abbey movies again. I can’t get enough of the series. 🥰
People say "Ireland is so GREEN!", after Feb in Seoul and up to the DMZ, I understand when I saw how beige the vegetation was .. Maybe a winter/summer split screen video of how it greens up in summer..? Amazed how shops put stuff outside and people pay for it, in Dublin all the candy / pop would be gone 5 mins after being put out🤬🤬 Saw the air quality displays but didnt understand why..the rare dust storms we get come from the Sahara..1/year..😂😂😂
When we first landed in Seoul everything looked so barren because it was winter. We were really worried the vibe would be grim until we got to Seoul and it was all incredible

Just started watching and I feel like we're friends already with you guys lol. My wife and I are an interracial couple, her being Korean and myself being Black and these videos are just so warm and cozy to us. We watch em after a long day of work while we countdown our days before we finally get to go back to Seoul! We went for the 1st time in May of 2022 and now we're hooked on how beautiful it is. We are [planning on coming back May of 2023 and now bringing some friends! The wife is currently working on dual citizenship, and I have been trying to learn the language. Keep making videos!! Hello! Here in NYC mostly New Yorkers are not wearing mask! About maybe 20-30% still are mostly asian/older people. I still wear them but the regular blue ones easy to breathe. Like u said the season changes peoples still feel up/down. Thank you! Stay safe out there!👋😘🧡💜💙
Same here in Philadelphia.. I think most folks just don't want to even think about it! I personally have appreciated the caution when in Seoul, though I'm glad they are relaxing the rules a bit by now.

It's starting to finally feel like spring here in Norway too 😂 Personally it's my favorite season, becuase I enjoy looking forward to summer so much 🌤 also, haha, in Asia cherry blossoms represent spring finally arriving... In Scandinavia it's the arrival of men in shorts 🩳🌸( no joke, saw the first guy in shorts, it's 1C here, but feels like -3 in the wind... As long as the sun warms, peoeple go crazy here, haha )

I see people wearing shorts outside in zero Celsius here too in Western Canada. It’s crazy because it snowed yesterday and there is still at least 5 cm of snow still on the ground. Mind you I can see some asphalt now under the ice, so I know spring will be here in about 4 weeks.😂

In Singapore, when the last round of mask-on was lifted even on public transportation, prob about 4 in 5 of the people are still cautious and still put it on. It has been like quite a few months since then, and now about 4 in 5 do not put it on, the complete opposite. Well, the infection rates have been very low so I guess people are more relaxed to do so, including myself. But at peak hours (eg. going to work) when it's almost cheek to jowl, I still feel more comfortable putting it on, esp on the subway. While it's no longer lethal like when it first broke out, it's still not a good feeling to be sick. Actually for the past couple of years with the mask on, I wasn't taken ill even once! Actually I feel that every resident in every country should follow the civic-consciousness of the Japanese, mask on when you are sick and in public, regardless whether Covid is still present.

I live in Mexico and in my town I still see people with face masks, I think because it’s cold/flu season, which makes sense but it’s no longer mandatory anywhere except hospitals
In Texas I am absolutely still wearing my mask whenever I go out, partly because we've hit allergy season and it's a beast (and getting worse due to climate change). My red car is yellow with oak pollen. 🤧In the summer we get big plumes of Saharan dust carried across the ocean, and while they can make things hazy and unsafe for asthmatics like myself, the dust plumes also help prevent hurricanes, which is pretty cool. In the spring we tend to get smoke from agricultural burning in southern mexico and central america. Since everyone loves your baking, it would be interesting to see how much ingredients cost, what brands are available and if that has changed in recent years, if there are any home baking trends right now etc. So instead of us just seeing the baking process from when stuff goes in the bowl, we start at the grocery store. Just an idea. 🙃

We actually rarely go grocery shopping 🤭 instead, we order everything online on Coupang (more brands available when it comes to baking ingredients) so it’s delivered right to our place. Super common here, and very handy if you don’t have a car!

I'm in Canada and I still wear a mask. Mostly in public transit and busy shopping areas. I have never gotten COVID nor a cold in over 5 years. I don't remember the last time I had the flu.

They were so yum 🍪✨ But I actually used to work at a small bakery when I was a uni student and I learned it’s sooo much work to run a bake shop-it totally turned me off the idea of opening my own, lol 😅
In S.Korea it's yellow dust. In Germany it's Sahara sand. I bet it's not as bad as in S.Korea. But our air turns orangy. I was confused last year because I forgot about Sahara sand. The next day my car was covered with a thin layer of orange sand (especially because my car is white). Car wash afterwards is a must. But we get a lot of rain afterwards. I can see traces of sand on the street being washed away by rain 😂. Crazy. But Germans don't care & don't like wearing masks (they only do it because of Covid)

You should give Brandon Sanderson's fantasy series Mistborn a try and Tress of the Emerald Sea. I just started reading his books, cause he commented on Carie's channel and I liked some of his writing advice on youtube. So I discovered him- even though some of his books had already made their way to my wishlist- I hadn't picked one up, yet. But now I wanted something good to read and while there is no spice involved his books, so far what I have seen from the two point five books I have read, his world building is AMAZING!!! He also writes better than Sarah J Maas and a few others who have been trending lately. In my opinion anyway. But his books also have flaws- they aren't perfect- but more entertaining and unpredictable than most of the things one encounters. His worlds are so imaginative they remind me of JK Rowling's Harry Potter world!!! I think you would like them!

That episode of Downton was the very first episode I ever watched. Years ago, I was sick with a cold & woke up really early one morning & couldn't stop coughing so I decided to sit up in our living room & watch television so my husband could sleep. I came across this episode starting on PBS & didn't know what I was getting myself into. Towards the end of it my husband came downstairs to discover me sobbing and thought something truly terrible had happened. 😂 Nope. Just me crying over a dead imaginary person I hadn't even cared one bit about an hour before. The acting is just that good.

Do the buses in Seoul have air conditioning? I'm like Sarah--I continue to wear a mask in crowded situations. But, I can imagine that wearing a mask on a hot bus could be very uncomfortable!
Of course we do have ACs in public transportations~without them, NO Koreans will survive in summer tbh...😂

I wasn't warned about the dust in Spring when I moved to Korea back in 2015, (and I have Korean family and my aunt had lived in Korea in the early 80s, lol, but no one told me about it), anyways, my first time experiencing it I got so sick, I hadn't been wearing a mask and I didn't know that I needed to, I would have the worst motion sickness on the bus, separate from the crazy bus drivers. And when I would dust my apartment if I had left the windows open for "fresh air" I ended up needing to dust after and the dust was almost a neon yellow color, it could've been pollen that caused the color but I wasn't near any trees that made that kind of pollen. And then my colleagues at work told me about the dust and I was flabbergasted. I stayed for 5 years in Korea, but the fine dust was one reason we moved away, I don't think my lungs could take it anymore.
Sorry, i'll rain on your parade. your videos started to be repetitive. and they're also too short. It's always eating [out or in, because you cooked], or going to Kyuho's parents [or they come over], showing just a little bit of the city, sometimes cleaning, and cats.

Sapphire, there's such a variety of channels on youtube. It's OK to move on and find something that fits your needs. But you don't need to kick a creator on the way out. So many people find comfort in this channel for the exact reasons you mentioned. I'm wondering if you're having a bad day & feeling stuck in a life that seems repetitive to you & you just needed to vent.
