Hi Caroline, love following you. I started following Meg Publishing back in January and she absolutely has paid for sponsored ads. I've seen them on several of her books. I think it's misleading to say, "They do not have any paid ads whatsoever to generate these kinds of sales." They DID. Just because she doesn't have ads running on her books at this current moment, doesn't mean she didn't have the benefit of ads previously. Obviously her TikTok has helped immensely, but wanted to share in case anyone else thinks she did this without ads - not true.

Actually Meg commented on another UA-camrs account who did a review on her business model and she herself said she ran ads for literally one day then turned them off because they were too expensive. Mystery solved

As an artist my opinion is that those pictures are definitely drawn by a talented artist.
It's a very big work they did on social media.
Now to make money with those books is very hard.

@@mindfuleats4517 I made the images on gallery on the paid 20 dollar chatgpt. We also have a custom made chat gpt that's gives us title and subtitle, description and keywords. Done for you :)

I’m creating my own hand drawn colouring book series and haven’t decided the publishing route yet. Just wondering if anyone has noticed inconsistency in paper quality. I’ve purchased some from Amazon US and Amazon AU to compare paper. There’s a noticeable difference. As a long time artist, paper quality is important to me. What’s your thoughts? I have looked at Amazon US self publishing quality (coloring books) and to be honest it's disappointing. The paper is not bright white so it looks dull and the paper is too thin too.

If we get the website ready as a new KDP seller, how will people get to know about the website? Assuming a new seller might not have a great social media presence to promote the website.
You have to build up your followers over years to achieve results like this.
Thanks for another helpful video. Do you have any thoughts about whether it's better to use British English or American English in your books? I've never seen a video on this topic and yet I'm sure it must be a purchasing decision for some people, particularly parents about to buy a book for their child. I'm in the UK and am trying to decide at the moment whether to go with American and stick to it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I have recently published children colouring book on kdp but Amazon unchecked the low content book?? Why is this happening? Does anyone know that can explain please? I though simple colouring book for kids is low content book...
From what I understand, “low content” means lined journals, etc. Even simple children’s coloring books are considered “high content.”

These colouring books have very simple everyday generic items in them, if we made a colouring books with the same simple generic items in them, are they going to turn around and think we've copied them? 😫

Is it okay to use famous Disney characters?
Only if you want to get sued by Disney Corp. KDP will probably block your book and possibly suspend your account before Disney gets hold of you. You can't use copyrighted and trademarked images. Read your terms of service.

There is no way one person is doing this alone. Be honest. I appreciate the information but to think this is a single person is behind this is not realistic.
Meg publishing is marketing her books on tiktok
If you know how to market on social media and draw, you can totally do this as a single person.
If she has a graphic design background, she could have easily designed her own website as well.
She’s an artist, of course she can do that alone and they are simple graphics too… and also she shares her story on tiktok it took her 6 weeks of posting 1-3 times a day before she really saw results.
And I believe she was or is a marketing major.

You just said yourself that she only saw success when she stopped using ads and built an audience on Tiktok, so I'm a bit confused by your comment. If you only watched 2 mins of the video then you have no idea what I talked about in this video.
