For those wondering about the classification:
T53 - These athletes will have normal arm muscle power with no abdominal or lower spinal muscle activity. Use different techniques to compensate for lack of abdominal musculature including lying horizontal. When the paces quickens in a race, their acceleration is slower than the T54 class. In general when acceleration occurs, the trunk rises off the legs due to a lack of abdominal muscles to hold the trunk down. Usually have to interrupt the pushing cycle to adjust the compensator. Equivalent activity limitation to person with complete cord injury at cord level T1-7."[

I broke my leg in 5 places after trail biking and it broke me as a person as well. After going through an airport on my own in a wheelchair, I can tell you that this is the most hardcore thing ive ever seen in my life. If I could talk to any of these women for even 5-10 minutes it might have helped me realize how silly and (hopefully) temporary my situation is.

My sister is signed with one of the top agencies in the USA and has worked model jobs for years (REAL modeling btw not what instagram chicks call modeling) and has done all sorts of ad campaigns from Nike to American Eagle ...yet has never once walked a catwalk! High fashion modeling is actually much more niche and insignificant than many people outside the industry realize. And with the way many retailers want to be, or at least appear, inclusive these days a company would be tripping over themselves to hire a woman like Madison.

i'm not really up on foreign para-athletes but considering who her couch is (who i am familiar with) i'm inclined to agree with you. anjali was one of the kewlest chicks i knew back in the day. maybe she wasn't as tough a competitor due to the fact that she was busy getting her Ph.D. she always was a bit nerdy lol. ;)
