I hope I can compete in the paraolympics am day. I'm not able to run and do much at all because of my POTS (I'm in the top 5% of severity) but I hope if I get well enough someday to be apart of all this

TheCoastguard321 unfortunately sometimes other athletes and/or families of athletes would say “these kinds of people should have their own competition, they’re slowing us down” or “actually they have an advantage because they weigh less without one hand” and other ridiculous things. I have heard them myself from the bleachers while watching my brother in mixed competitions...
These fine people are what's good in this world. Love seeing this...it would be so easy for them to just let their disabilities sideline them. But they don't, they fight and make something of themselves.

They do hurt actually. Being a lower limb amputee, you don’t have the bones, muscles, and structure to run so the blade helps with it, but u have to exert more force and u get more generalized fatigue. You have to work ur entire body extra harder because u don’t have the ability to run.
Have an ear disability called microtia and this made me tear. I hope they can open music competitions like this too, would be cool since I play violin.
