I like how dio is able to move his lips but can’t move his body while jojo stops time
It may just be because he can stop time and has some sort of resistance to stopped time? But he’s only able to to move a little.
Let’s not forget this is an anime adaptation of a manga, which implies that there had to be a way for the characters to express themselves, even in stopped time; From text bubbles to speech.
I also love how they can dialogues for 5 real life seconds but it’s only one in jojo

The only thing someone who can stop time always retains is awareness, but moving one's mouth is also stops, just like the rest of the body. Much of Jotaro's dialogue in this fight is thought instead of spoken, and the same goes for DIO, especially near the end.
