I also have a 97 prelude sh. I bought a base block off ebay because of comments on atts unit not handling more than 220hp and the fabrication of brackets for the intermediate shaft. So I am just converting car back to base. About a year away from having all parts bought to put engine together. Been buying parts for it for 6 years. Block has been professionally wet sleeved by a race shop.
Sorry this might be a stupid question, but did you do something where the head bolts onto the block? it looks different that most h22s I've seen. is it something to make sure you don't blow out your head gasket? Sorry again if this is a stupid question
I have done several things to keep from blowing the head gasket. First I sleeved the block with Darton MID sleeves. Theres videos out there about sleeves. That's really to strengthen the cylinder bores but it also gives you a lot better surface ....more surface area for the head gasket to clamp two around the top of the cylinder bores. Then... you can see I had copper o rings machined into the top of the sleeves or the top of the cylinder bores to give extra clamping force and pinch the gasket. This is a vital over 600ish horsepower. It really works well. Then at last I used arp head studs. Factory studs torque to 72 foot-pounds. Arp torque to 90. More clamping force. I hope this answers your question. No question is stupid when your trying to learn.

I don't know about this guys lude but me personally I bought a h22 mini-mani from 850fab for $2k it allows a turbo to be used while retaining power steering and air conditioning. The kit also comes with wastegate piping and down pipes. I have a garrett g25-660 I have bought for this build.
Awd would be awesome. They make a bell housing for the h to support awd. Would be a crazy build to watch.

I also found a t2w4 lsd transmission to use in this. Was not cheap.
