Maserati did try their best to upgrade. And they did a good job too, the interior and features look SO much better than just a few years ago, I think the inside looks beautiful. I don’t think they did well enough, however. This thing shouldn’t be as expensive as it is, it’s way overpriced. It should probably be closer to the $65,000 range, MAYBE $90,000 super fully loaded. That being said, it still does look GORGEOUS inside and out. This thing would do very well if it was just priced appropriately.
Beautiful car. If you want something flashier than the standard fare Mercedes, Audis, or BMWs but you still need the ability to carry passengers, you can't do much better than this. Love Maseratis. :)
I agree with your undertone...I fine I connect with a/the car through the driving experience. I only want the tech to aid in that experience and not detract from it. Well, italian cars may not be the best in term of luxury, updated infotainment and construction quality, but the pleasure of driving that italian cars give is incomparable, thanks to incredible engines and incredible mechanical work. In these terms, these cars kill the competition
I absolutely love Maserati and the thrill of driving them! So you'll always know what you're driving, they wouldn't want you to forget.
At that price point, I would expect a bit more to be in this car. Just a few things to name: a fully digital gauge cluster, less plastic buttons, a more refined infotainment system, etc.

This thing honestly looks good on the outside...and that's about it. On closer inspection, there are multiple panel gaps, the interior is outdated, the performance is lackluster. A 2020 CLA 45AMG outperforms this thing at around $50k, much more modern interior. Believe it or not, there are usually huge discounts on these cars, no one ever pays full MSRP for these at all. Even after negotiating to $90k from $130k, it's still overpriced for what it brings to the table. Maybe if this was $65-$70k, then that's a more realistic price.

Is the tech cutting edge? Are all of the interior materials worthy of the $127k price tag? Is it assembled with Lexus precision?
