Imo Aurora's most beautiful trait is that there's no fear in her voice. Hearing her singing is exactly like hearing Nature; trees being blown by the wind, running rivers crashing into rocks, etc.

The live version of this song really hits differently. One of the few songs I have ever heard that can move me to tears, I am so happy Aurora is alive, and sharing her gift to the world. She is such a wonderful human being, and I think I will love her and her music all my life.
2 years later, admittedly hiding under a rock and having discovered her only a few months ago, I voraciously devoured everything I can find about her and I found that she's truly MAGICAL and a most authentic, sweet and an exceptional true artist and as a person! I just can't! I thought the stripped down version was the one to move me the most until I watched this performance for the first time. Man, if we had that kind of music and message in church when we were children, we wouldn't be crying rivers now as this beautiful song touches and wrings out "the pain we have soaked ourselves in". I can’t describe how pure this is. She literally taps into a primordial essence and channels it through her body, as natural as it is for us to breathe, for water to flow, for plants to reach for light. Ethereal isn’t enough of a word to describe this. At 3:41 she literally has to hold on to the stand as she releases one of the most beautiful things I’ve genuinely ever heard. She trembles cause she has let go at this point and is just letting it flow through her. I am beyond glad that I was born at a time where I could not only discover her but to live at the same time she did is an honor.
When truth and beauty are put to song, this is what happens....undeniable humanity.

June . 22 . 2021. I’ve been a fan of Aurora for almost 3 years, today i just click this video unintentionally and i’m in emotions now. The feeling i get exactly like the very first time when i heard this song 2 years ago, this emotion is really hard to express but i can tell you that she put all her soul into this song and nailed it perfectly, her soft voice, her breathe, the moment when she did the vocal lines as she brings me to heaven. She is getting famous and well-known at the current time, but i hope she will always keep this energy, this soul and voice. And few weeks ago i heard that her backing singer (Silja Sol) was lefting the band. All i can say is wish you (Silja) would be success on your own new adventure and be known as a independent singer.
How can this song not bring anyone to tears. 😭 Especially with this angel singing it.

Beautiful song & performance. It seems as if she sings the song in 2 different "first persons"-- child.aurora for the verses and adult.aurora for the chorus starting with "I would rather...". For example, the opening verse says 'World is covered by our trails. Scars we cover up with paint.", which is child.aurora's perspective , where her childhood was spent foraging new trails in the forest and adorably naively thinking that scars can be healed by covering them up with paint. Then adult.aurora says the chorus, "I would rather see the world through the eyes of a child." Also, adult.aurora at the end uses first person pronoun, "me", instead of "I", with "Please don't leave me here.", where adult.aurora yearns to go back to child.aurora's world. Amazing song!
