I also wanted to learn more of the local history, so I opted to use a guide in this instance. I actually tried to book Good Times’ tour that included both the falls and Hellfire Pass, but it wasn’t running the day I was in town. The one you see was the only one running. As is often the case with long term travel, your day might not wind up exactly as you had planned it, but this was a really great day in the end. Hopefully once more travelers return to Thailand there will be more options for those opting for tours. Next time I’m back, I’ll definitely make it to Hellfire Pass.
