  • Hey Y'all!
I’m sharing more of my hair success, or perhaps failure, through trial an error. Do you think I have heat damage? My curl pattern has been altered for some time now and I'm actually okay with it, as long as it doesn't start to show more significant signs of damage. Do you have any thoughts on this matter?
In case you're new I have been relaxer free for a little over 10 years now. Going natural was the best decision I've ever made! However, it can be a lot of work to wear my hair curly, so I don't. I do love the results and overall health of my hair without chemicals, but I choose to style it straight.
Meet me in the comments down below if you are new and let's chat.
I'd love to say hello and get to know you better!

Not all hair can hands heat well. Some fries no matter how low the heat. So definitely, to each its own. So when videos say, nothing is wrong with applying hear, it’s essential to make exceptions.

At 5:52 I stated something that you may have missed, so go back and check it out when you have time.
Also, my video never suggested that there is nothing wrong with applying heat. I firmly believe “to each its own” in every aspect.
This video was to give more insight on what heat damage is and to show the possible outcome associated with heat styling, which in my case is a permanently altered curl pattern.
My goal is to encourage those who are hesitant, but also desiring to heat train their hair to simply give it a try.
Lastly, I’m not a professional stylist and make that known often within our community.

I don’t feel heat trained is damage. To me damage means destroyed. Thanks for sharing your journey from big chop. I big chopped about 2 yrs ago so learning to straighten my natural hair is tough but I watch your video on wash day and it can out really good! I was even able to get my hair straightened with ceramic instead of titanium.

Hi, I’m a new subscriber and I’m really enjoying your content, especially seeing how you care for you and your girls hair. I’ve recently came into my 30s and I’m so over having my wash days and styling take me an entire day almost 😅. So I’ve been contemplating heat training but I wasn’t to confident how well it could work until I saw how simple you keep your routine. I’m inspired lol so far I’ve been going with a blowout because I’m still in search of a good flat iron!
Just thought you should know how helpful you’ve been! 😊
    God bless!

Welcome to our community, and thanks for the kind message! I do plan to share more. I had no idea so many were hoping to heat style their hair. Trust me, I understand how frustrating hair wash days can be. I did not only my hair but my girls natural hair for years and I dreaded those curly hair days. So we eventually started heat styling and I never looked back.

I just found your channel and I am really loving your hair content. I am currently transitioning out of a relaxer and was not sure whether heat styling my hair weekly would be damaging or not, so it is nice to have found someone who has been successfully heat styling their hair regularly. I look forward to your upcoming videos. regarding this topic

Are you going to “big chop?” I tried to transition but the two different textures worked my nerves. 🥴
Just remember everyone’s hair is different, but I’ll share as much as I can.
As always let me know if you have questions.
I’m wishing you the best on your journey.

I saw on your last hair video that you wash your hair weekly. Do you flat iron your hair weekly?

I was starting to heat train and my hair would revert nicely. I got a silk press and cut at a new hair salon and I now have two sections of straight hair, I’m so mad, should I cut it?

That’s certainly a personal choice. Keep in mind your hair goals. I’m heat training because I don’t wear my curls and prefer my hair’s curls more relaxed and stretched out.
