DON’T buy a Kubota RTV!

  • Kubota RTV series have been one of the most dependable off road vehicles I’ve had a pleasure of driving. There’s a ton of options! And the security options are awesome. We can disable the RTV from our phones. It does have low clearance, and need some different tires if you’ll be in a lot of mud, but unless you’re just taking it in something with no bottom, it does good. Overall it’s a great machine!

I cannot understand this mans opinion, and I tried several times. He praises the vehicle, then concludes, "Don't buy this." Very strange video.

Sorry it’s poor attempt at some humor. A lot of people don’t want to work no days and it was kinda a shot at them.

He’s making a joke being “don’t buy this vehicle if you don’t want to do the work that needs to be done” because the vehicle is so capable you will be able to operate it in any conditions and have no excuses to get out of doing the work

I appreciate learning all I needed to know from just reading the video title without having to watch it You definitely saved me from making a bad purchase! I got a JD instead and its been great. It rides better and goes faster than my neighbors Kubota! Thanks for the heads up dude!!!

think you missed that this was satire. he was making the point that if you do not want to work hard then buy something else as the RTV is a beast that keeps working.

Ahhhh, clever. Well the title, "Don't buy a Kubota RTV!", with the added exclamation point, made it appear that Kubota was to be avoided with extreme prejudice. I appreciated the time he saved me and he looked like a trustworthy nice guy, so I went neither the JD instead and have been very happy with it. This thing is a beast and has done more than I should probably be asking it to do. Maybe I'm then only one that saw the title and ran from Kubota lol.

Don't buy one of these if you have a need to get anywhere in a hurry. I had to sell my RTV. It was a tank, but they're just so slow.

They really are great machines. Good friend of mine has one in camo and it goes anywhere my pioneer goes. Only limiting factor on trails is the ground clearance. Pulling power it has no equal lol. Thing has a low gear that will crawl down the steepest slopes at a snails pace.

I don't recommend a Kubota Sidekick, I have owned one for 3 years now, bought it new. Check the online manual error codes...almost every one says "take it to a dealer". Like I have nothing better to do than pack this up, travel to a dealer and unload it, travel back to get it and then pay a ridiculous labor and parts bill. I have an reoccurring error 36 , speed sensor. Take it to dealer it says the manual and can find nothing on what action I can take. BTW it seems to run ok with the error.

Dont buy a Sidekick, mine has an oil dilution problem. My sidekick gains about a cup and a half of gas in the oil after 20 hours. Kubota says that's normal for these engines if you don't run them hard. Just trying to see if others are having this same issue with the oil level rising.

Man that’s a great question! I don’t normally deal with that. I’ll change a tire, oil, filters. Everything else I’ll hire out to make sure it’s done right. Lol

@@731Zach figured it out yesterday. In case anyone needs this in future... jack up machine safely, remove wheel, remove cotter pin from the end of the axle shaft, remove axle nut, remove bolts and nuts from control arms, pinch brake line with pinching pliers, disconnect brake line, move hub out of the way, support it with a jack stand to avoid strain on the other rubber line, jack up suspension @ upper control arm to compress the shock. hold axle shaft level to diff, push axle in toward diff, then hold both ends and pull away from diff while still being level to diff, may need to pry out with pry bar between cv axle and diff. (there is a slot in the machine's frame to get a pry bar in there.) should come out then. save the c-clip and o-ring as new axle didn't come with one. grease splines on new axle shaft, replace and do all that in reverse!

They suck in the snow. Anything over 6 in and they get stuck. Even using the rear locker.
