This is crazy ! For the trapper outfits and clothing i can grind for all of them without a problem but this really helped me add that Legendary Alligator outfit to my save in ch2 since it's locked until ch6...and even got the hat saved as crafted hat ...Thank you so much❤

So you can do this for the legend of the east satchel too. (Though it doesn't actually apply the effects just the "skin" to your satchel) And you don't have to make a hard save I've done it by just tearing down camp and loading my auto save. Also since WE ALL came here just for the alligator hat if you get it knocked off (any hat obtained this way) and pick it up it unlocks as if crafted. So just go tie someone up n try to steal from their horse so it kicks you or just untie them and fist fight em so they knock it off, pick it up when you're done and viola you have that hat "legitimately" unlocked now. Personally I use Save Editor and Save Wizard which takes things a bit further into the glitching world but its fun so it's all good.

It still works guys. If it doesn't work for you, you missed something or didn't do it step-by-step. One thing though, she mentions custom outfit 1. Realized I didnt have a 1 on the horse, but it still worked with outfit 2.

Interesting glitch, personally I enjoyed obtaining the outfits normally. I'm wondering does that outfit now appear as fully obtained in the trapper menu?
I’m only one moose pelt away from completing all of the trappers wares. I enjoy hunting out in the wild and getting all the pelts. It’s what makes this game a great open world.

@@davegeraghty2187 It’s because rockstar messed up the code for moose so they don’t have a set spawn like other animals will usually have

If u let your horse kick u and drop the hat. And pick it back up then go save outfit you own the hat now and can put it on any outfit you want

The upload you did about the free horses glitch in St Denis has been patched out for at least 4 years I've been playing this game for 4 years on and off and it got patched before I bought the game

The flying horse glitch is interesting if anyone hasn’t tried it yet. Helldarado may have shown it on his channel.
Also to save time you can set up the camp again and fast travel to strawberry
After you do the glitch does it remain in your clothes items or only as a saved custom outfit
Not being greedy, but can you save ALL the outfits? And is this done in manual save? Last time I tried and tried to set up camp near the trapper, the game kept putting me on the shore under the train bridge and I think it was too far away to get an outfit. Definitely will try this method exactly.

As of 7/1/24, this still works on pc. You can't save the outfit though, but at least you can equip one outfit at a time. You can get all the hats for free "permanent". By making your horse kick you, then pick it up and it's yours to keep.
Not working as of may 2024 on ps5. I mean it works, I get the outfit, but when I go to save it at camp it won’t let me.
7/09/24... still works XBOX X.. on the 4th attempt it worked. i was only able 2 save 4 outfits im guessing cuz my horse saddle was full? As far as mix n match items to make a custom outfit like certain gloves with hats and vest jacke, boots it wont let you. I think only the hat can switch and save... hope info helps

I tried 8 times on ps5 but it won’t work. When I load back in he just has his same outfit on. I did everything you did to a T. No luck

me play PC and this is my way....no need stand up , just craft/cook then equip the Bandana
and just save the game( no need tear down the camp ), then reload the saved
Guys this also works with pearsons crafting, i got legends of east satchel or west i forhot the name
That's true but it doesn't give you the benefits of the satchel as it still thinks it's a normal one

If this doesn't get saved under the crafted outfits then what is the point? You still have to hunt and acquire the ingredients for the outfits ....
You can save the hat after it is knocked off and pick it up, it will save in your hat inventory.
Double up! (I could not remember and had to check twice!)

But it’s only saved as a custom outfit not the actual outfit, so you would still have to get materials for the actual outfit, the outfit will always say custom outfit, not what it’s actually called.
But does it save everything on there?

Interesting glitch, thanks for sharing. To each their own, but if people don't enjoy taking their time to hunt for pelts, RDR2 might not be the right game for them. A central part of gameplay shouldn't feel like a chore.
I think you end up investing as much trouble trying to get these exploits.
Rockstar should learn this tho

Can I mix and max parts of the outfit once I save it? Like if I go to my jackets, the jacket from the outfit will be there, or is it pretty much limited to wearing the whole outfit saved on the horse?
No, you cant put anything back on once you take it off unless u saved the outfit before u took anything off
U dont actually own any of the items u still have to hunt for them

Cool glitch. Some observations: I was not able to save the out fit and it says this outfit will be lost if stored on horse, maybe because all 3 custom outfits were already full? Also, the first time I tried this it didn't work, maybe because I was wearing no jacket to begin with or maybe because I was wearing gloves that I had purchased but not added to any saved outfit.
