Congratulations on your CX4! I’m just south of you at KSPK, my father and I have a set of plans and would love to get in contact with you about the build process.
FANTASTIC! Both the build quality and smooth positive airmanship. Not a buzz or rattle from the airframe on downwind and i have never heard a smoother engine. Is it a Revmaster or ??? Although this may again get me threatened with assault by the Moderator-enabled resident sociopath in the Thatcher build/interest group, I commend again your decision to not wear a crash helmet despite still being in test flight mode. The placement of the camera emphasized how well the inherent design protects against rollover should there be an off-airport landing or runway brake lockup. That is a substantial leading edge frame on the movable canopy which in flight butts up against the equally substantial windshield frame to in effect provide a roll bar. BTB, did you do the weld attachment of the tab used to slide it? A miniature work of art. Despite that aforementioned angry control freak's specific prayer that I die by flying through a windscreen [again, graphic violence NOT censored by the so-called-Moderator who blocked my immediate attempted rebuttals and explanations) for offering honest critiques from a lifetime of instructing and thousands of taildragger hours in a candid style he apparently objected to, let me suggest that as soon as the tailwheel came down...[somewhere between 3:07 and 3:13 I think] you could have IMMEDIATELY gone to and remained at full aft stick to pin it on during rollout and then begun appropriate movements as needed to compensate for windspeed and direction in the taxi turns. Don't stop thinking about and doing those until in the tie down. Not as critical as with a high wing [Luscombe, Citabria, Cub, 140, etc] but better safe than sorry. And that is the sum total of my suggestions. You seemed steady as a rock throughout and justifiably happy at shutdown. Well done indeed.
...well then between the two hoops you've practically got a full NASCAR roll cage! What engine? I've always thought I'd build something with a Jab 3300 but just that Rolls Royce smoothness of whatever is in yours got my attention. Could also be reflecting good construction, proper torques, new mount rubber, etc.
Thank you! :)

Thanks for the compliments. There is a roll bar right behind my head tied into the upper and lower longerons.
