Well, thank you for that comment! I was wondering if it would work well with a damp sponge. I used to use Aveda powder foundation in my twenties, and it was wet or dry. Nice to know that this works wet as well. I've been using it dry with a setting spray over the top. The J.cat aqausuarnce powder foundation is SO MUCH BETTER! If you haven’t tried that yet I would HIGHLY recommend it. Super full coverage and long wearing but very light and natural
Yeah I agree I prefer the MUFE powder foundation on you! This one looks a little bit dry from the video and seems like the cream blush is a little bit blotchy on top.
Could you possibly make a video on what ur favorite glitter eyeshadows are? I know how much you love putting glitter on the eyes and would like to know what you would recommend
I didn't buy them, but when I was online on the elf website the other day, I saw that they have a bunch of liquid glitter eyeshadows, including a full set of maybe all of them. I didn't get those but I did get the shimmer liquid shadows, not glitter. I think glitter looks beautiful but it always ends up on my cheeks and drives me crazy.

The eyeshadow palette reminds me of the colors in the ABH Soft Glam palette... I will say, one thing CP has down is how to make their shimmers POP! I personally think their shimmers are the absolute best when used with your finger to lay them down. I have the Making Mauves palette and OMG is you like purples/mauvey pink colors, those shimmers are to DIE for. I just use my finger and it's amazing. CP hands down has the best shimmers and pressed glitters, IMO.
The makeup 💄 looks really pretty 😍 on you today. I agree with you about the powder foundation but I wear it on days when I’m running 🏃♂️ late or just to run errands. The Elf 🧝♀️ blushes have there names I believe on the side of the bottle.
Allie, I have a pretty good tip on new mascaras. Before opening your new tube of mascara, put it into your hands and roll it in the palm of your hands. My nose usually breaks up with some foundations not good for dry ..I moisturizer so much so not sure why it’s still so dry!
I just threw mine away. I love the Infallible liquid foundation (to me its similar to EL doublewear) and I bought the same color in the powder and it was a terrible ashy color, almost like grey on my face. It is also very full coverage, felt very unnatural.
@@kristinemalik4600 I am not the same shade in liquid foundation as I am in powder foundation, this is pretty common. If the powder foundation felt too full coverage you could have tried applying with a brush and setting it with a dewy setting spray to sheer it out on the skin a bit. I personally love it, it gives great natural coverage and makes my routine faster. I also use a good primer, Hourglass Veil primer.
@@kristinemalik4600 100% agree with you! I LOVE the liquid version of this and also think it’s a good dupe for doublewear. The powder just doesn’t compare, it looks horrible. 😞
I prefer using this L’Oréal powder foundation to set my bb cream. Especially on top of the Missha bb cream. It is gorgeous!!! 😍 I have dry slightly combo skin in the t zone skin.
Hi Allie! I have been watching a lot of your videos lately and I think this is the best your brows have looked! Better than when you use your favorite Benefit brow pencil.
I love the aquasurrance! I have dry skin and it’s the only powder foundation I can wear that doesn’t make me look and feel like I’ve spent the day in the desert.
I absolutely LOVE the putty blushes and I totally agree with you with the powder foundation...it's OK. I love the liquid lip and the oat moisturizer. I was not that impressed with the mascara. I am very interested in the flower brow pencil though 👍 you look beautiful as Always and love your wear tests reviews!!
That and the triangle shape of the component makes it look like a dupe for the fenty brow pencil. It has the same kind of brush spoolie and shape of the component.
Thanks for another great vid Allie!! 🤗 I actually really enjoy powder foundations (including this new one from L’Oréal), more than most liquid foundations because I have to use virtually all oil free beauty and skincare products...any amount of oil in products causes me to breakout. I also prefer mineral based powders. The only liquid foundation that my skin doesn’t mind is Neutrogena oil free skin clearing foundation with salicylic acid...that being said, I also find that I do need to touch up any powder foundation after meals and at least one other time throughout the day...but I don’t mind touching up to avoid breaking out! ☺️🥰
I've also wondered about the Infallible powder foundation...as I'm 47 with mostly dry skin...I'm kinda thinking it might be too drying. I also wonder if it will settle into fine lines!!
same here! 😊 I love the convenience of powder foundations but with pretty dry skin, it is not easy to find one that works well for me. I love the Make Up For Ever one because it covers really well and then, not using a lot and applying a hydrating spray afterwards works great for me. But I am still looking for a cheaper option that is similar enough, so I am hoping that the L'oreal one works well too.
I'm 49 in May. I have this foundation powder in a few shades, for now and warner weather. And a couple of backups, because, let's face it, I'm a hoarder, lol. When I was in my twenties, I used to use the Aveda powder foundation, sometimes, and I love this way better. I still have the Aveda powder foundation, which I should probably throw away, because it always oxidizes on my skin, and I'm not even oily. I've never tried the MUFE one. I like this drugstore one, quite a bit actually. I have read any other comments that some other ladies are age don't really love it. And I wouldn't say I love it, but I do think it's pretty decent. I've never tried it with a damp sponge; I don't know if it is meant to be used that way, but the Aveda does. Anyway, it doesn't oxidize on me, at all, and I think it's rather good, myself. I normally will use a tinted moisturizer or glowy medium light coverage foundation. Lately, I've been using the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, it's a newer one, and the Anastasia Beverly Hill foundation which I actually quite like. Then I'll set it with this in certain areas, and then a different powder and fluffy brush all over my face lightly. My skin actually looks nice when I use it, I think. But again, I like my makeup to be at most medium, to medium-full in only certain areas. I don't mind light coverage with a little concealer at all. They have also the anti-aging one I'm pretty sure it's L'Oreal. The color range on this regular powder foundation she uses I feel is actually much better for coverage and longevity. I prefer to use a tinted moisturizer or glowy foundation, I am not a heavy coverage kind of girl. But, for touch-ups in the middle of the day, it works fantastic. Honestly, at my age, that may be where this product shines is around my nose midday anytime I need to touch up. It can't feel slightly drying. If I'm in a big hurry, I will definitely use this, with the sponge, over some concealer, or I will set my foundation using this, often with a fluffy brush. Then I may go around the nose and pores just around it, with the included sponge, I'll spray with a finishing spray because that takes away all of the dry feel. I have to put mask on and take it off all day long, at my job, probably 30 times a day I am having to do that. It actually holds up fairly well under these conditions, which I really appreciate. Lipstick has become a bit of the bane of my existence because of masks, too! I do not have oily skin at all, more normal to dry. Not dry enough to flake or crack but I use oil on my face all the time, after serum, and before moisturizer. I think you might actually really like it, if you have a good skincare regimen. It's just finding the perfect way to use it. And that may be several different ways depending on the day and what other products you decide to use with it. The coverage is actually pretty good, in my opinion, and does with well when pressed for time. Try it out, I think you'll maybe like it. And we know that Walgreens and probably Walmart still, CVS does, takes returns, if you don't like it. I hate returning things though lol.
Have not tried any of these products. I’m leaning more on trying out the Elf Putty Blush. I’m a blush person myself, as well. You’re the only one I trust on UA-cam for makeup. (: Thank you so much Allie, for all that you do. (: 😘
Great review! I'm all about drugstore products even though I use a lot of high-end as well. I get excited for the drugstore reviews. Not much in this haul made me want them BUT I had wanted to try most of them so you saved me $$ lol
I have combo dry skin, dryer on winter season, with textured. I'm 36 yrs old and I recommend this powder but with a sponge. I tried it with the elf dark pink one, dry and really liked it. I moisturize very well, let that sink in, grab the dry sponge and tap tap tap. It does not dry up my skin. Set it with a hydrating spray and looks natural. As summer comes around i will have to use a different settings spray. But pls, try this powder with a dry sponge, or at least drain most of water so it is just barely wet.
This look is very flattering for your skin color and would be for mine also. My coloring is almost exactly like yours except for the eyes...mine are hazel green (usually a dark olive green). So, I watch your color combinations and take your recommendations. I've tried almost all of the products in today's video except for the colourpop eye palette. I'm gonna order it and try that out as well.

I clicked on this just to see what you think about the elf eye putty! I'm obsessed! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!!!
The Makeup forever powder foundation is my favorite!!
i actually LOOvee getting ready to your videos allie!!! youre voice is so soothing and calming seems like we are doing are makeup together😂💜💜
The Putty blushes do have the name on them.. You have to look very closely.. It's on the side in white! Crazy huh! Love you Allie! 💛
Oh yayyy I've been waiting for these kinda videos!!💖💖
Please do more🙏🏻😘
I also picked up the putty blush.. Love it so much!!! Definitely works well with a stipple or kabuki brush best and they're beautiful!
Pleaaase more looks with that palette😍
I’ve tried the powder foundation and I love it. I’ve got combo skin and large pores but this really blurs them out.
Hi Allie! I have been watching a lot of your videos lately and I think this is the best your brows have looked! Better than when you use your favorite Benefit brow pencil.
I'm also just so-so about the Loreal powder foundation. For drugstore, the j.cat aquasurrance is very much superior! Better smoothness and coverage
I love the aquasurrance! I have dry skin and it’s the only powder foundation I can wear that doesn’t make me look and feel like I’ve spent the day in the desert.
@@wildawoods6096 yes it's good stuff! And not expensive either.
Right! I always have a lighter winter shade and a slightly darker summer shade 😂
I have this colourpop palette and haven't seen too many youtubers use it. I picked it up by chance in store and loved it.
Hi Allie! I think your brows look better with that Flower Beauty pencil. Loved the colour of the lips
you look soooo much like Olivia Wilde!! you’re so prettyyy
Beautiful makeup look Allie💗
Lovely blushes so pretty 💜
Have amazing weekend 💖🥰
ur lashes are INSANNEEE OMG do u have any tips on how to keep them healthy, long and conditioned?
Elf is my favorite brand....almost everything new I have bought recently is elf....by far my favorite drugstore brand.
I’m so intrigued by the brush/spoolie on the flower beauty brow pencil!
I used a simiilar one from NYX, not a skinny pencil but the paddle spoolie works great
That and the triangle shape of the component makes it look like a dupe for the fenty brow pencil. It has the same kind of brush spoolie and shape of the component.
@@christineansani9211 If Allie does another dupe video sometime I’d love to see her compare them!
@@lindimaichrye2600 I’m glad to hear that, I was worried the brush would smudge the brows around
I love using the rimmel Stay matte powder over my liquid foundation too.....its so pretty.
Could you do 'what brushes I would have if I wasn't a youtuber' please?
I really like that blush. I’m going to have to try them
Thanks for another great vid Allie!! 🤗
I actually really enjoy powder foundations (including this new one from L’Oréal), more than most liquid foundations because I have to use virtually all oil free beauty and skincare products...any amount of oil in products causes me to breakout.
Yes and yes coming from a 41 year-old with dry skin. Not amazing on.
@@amberbailey5375 have u ever tried the Loreal Age Perfect one? I was thinking of trying that one.
The blush is gorgeous!
Yes, you do love blush!
Have not tried any of these products.
I’m leaning more on trying out the Elf Putty Blush. I’m a blush person myself, as well.
You’re the only one I trust on UA-cam for makeup. (:
Thank you so much Allie, for all that you do. (: 😘
Great review! I'm all about drugstore products even though I use a lot of high-end as well. I get excited for the drugstore reviews. Not much in this haul made me want them BUT I had wanted to try most of them so you saved me $$ lol
This elf putty blush turks and Caicos is my new favorite. I am using it every day!
How do you think the foundation powder would work on dry skin? Will it make my skin more dry? It looked beautiful on you.
I’m still loving the honest beauty mascara you recommend awhile ago!!
Early crowd! I watch all of your videos! I’m doing makeup right now with you 🥰
This look is very flattering for your skin color and would be for mine also. My coloring is almost exactly like yours except for the eyes...mine are hazel green (usually a dark olive green). So, I watch your color combinations and take your recommendations. I've tried almost all of the products in today's video except for the colourpop eye palette. I'm gonna order it and try that out as well.
Love the Elf putty blushes!!!! Want to pick up more shades 👍🏼❤️and I think I’d try the Revlon lippies out of curiosity 🙏🏼
I actually use theelf putty bush today in the same shade over powder which I normally don’t do I don’t know if I was swiping or bouncing but I cannot get it to work out but I did fix it buy applying it with my finger so that definitely worked out. So pretty on you. I wish my videos looked as good as yours. But today’s video was my first one in three years but you got to start somewhere. I think I mention you in my videos as far as learning my techniques from you so I learned so much from you and I really appreciate your content and everything that you tell us about your products and how you apply it sorry this comment is so long but I just love you all around
I love the new mascara one coat gives me the effect lush lashes bonus points black brown color
