I had a nice Artemis GR1250, a good gun for a Chinese springer, but me and my friend got the hang of dieseling it with motor oil. I'd top the hood and drip oil into the pellets directly from the dipstick. The gun broke after maybe a dozen dieseled shots, the seal burned.
I have one more. DON'T SKIP keeping the screws tight on a Springer (OR PCP) ! Loose screws are the enemy of accuracy and can potentially cause other harm.
Today I had a defective pellet fall off the front of the barrel, so I dry fired the springer. It looks ok but my point is that airguns will eventually get dry fired, wether we want it or not, so the manufacturers need do better than "never dry fire". Never is not possible.

Great video. Love the way she actually say "DON'T DO IT!" without any "legal" disclaimers or watered-down version of the statement. It's like your Mom telling you that you "better not". Carries weight! LOL
Tank manufactures including the carbon wrapped one she had in the video (Luxfer) advise filling tanks at (100 BARS) 1500 psi per minute. As she said, the heat, but also the shock of fast filling is not good for components. To test this theory, keep filling the tanks at a fast rate. When the tank explodes, then problem solved. No more fast fills for you.
Is she really back or is this taped from before? As far as the video content goes, you guys are spot on. I'd say the 2 biggest no-no's would be fiddling and dieseling. Great video!
You ought to offer some kind of convincing material to show that dieseling is dumb. Maybe a video of a repair job on a gun that was abused that way and/or images of the manufactrer's manuals saying not to. Something. The pro-dieseling guys all seem convinced that the proscriptions against it are all based on myth.
Commonly referred to as bear trapping. And not just bad for the gun can take chunks of you off! Most but not all manufacturers have an antibes trapping mechanism. Won't allow the release of the spring/ram so the barrel won't violently swing to the closed position with great force and speed. All bad to be in the way of that especially if you have fi ger in the loading port or breach of the gun.

#6 Never store a PCP with less than minimum air pressure in the tank. The seals need it to remain effective. #7 On the other hand never store CO2 guns with a bulb still in place. Newer seals deform under pressure over time and will stay that way, causing leaks the next time you insert a new bulb. #8 Never use a brass barrel brush to clean the barrel of an airgun.
