Well, Hi! Today I’m sharing my diy couch cover video! This is how I transformed our old IKEA couch into a "cloud couch" (ish). But really you could do this to any couch that you want to do a no-sew super quick and easy slipcover for. I don't think I'm fooling anyone here with this being a DIY cloud couch and not the real deal but it certainly turned out A LOT better than our old, worn-out couch as it was! I love it and I love making use of what we already have to cut back on waste both for our savings account and for the planet. So here it is! My DIY couch cover video requires no sewing and is super easy!
    Hope you enjoy it!

Our 14-15 year old sofa definitely needs a make over... I have been scouring youtube for ideas, I have settled on using drop cloths. (I will be doing some sewing) I just decided the other night that I would use two king size pillows for the back. I was so happy to see that someone else has done this and loves it! I will also get a couple more pillows too. I never liked the pillows that came with the couch, they are terrible.
We will be ordering new seat cushions, as these are tired and worn out. I will make the new covers so that I can take them off and wash them.
I am excited about the change, the couch is a dark green (but still beautiful) Lazyboy sofa, I'm ready for lighter and brighter!
I will be bleaching the drop cloths, I have never done that before and am nervous about trying it, but I know that is the look I want. I am going to check out your video about that too. This way is MUCH cheaper than buying a new sofa! And for the most part, our sofa is still in really good shape, I'm mostly wanting a change.
    Thanks for sharing!

Love it! Linen is my favorite too 😍
We spent 1400 on a custom chaise couch at living spaces a few years ago and it's so annoying that i have to constantly reajuste the cushions on it!! I like the idea of only having two big pillows on the back

. . yeah. 1200 is a lot of money. We spent about $600 on our couch and even that seems a lot to me, but it has been really great. However, You seem to have lots of use and will put in so many years into your couch, that the price you spent on it will be worth it. Great job on working on it so much and making it your own. It is lovely. Linen is lovely. I think I said that before commenting on one of your dresses in another vid.

@@je55ika9 Hey just seeing this! You're right it looks like it's out of stock of that color. This is the closest I could find- it's Herringbone though. But similar and organic.
