Great caliber the .222. More accurate than the 223.

It's not killing for fun it's called conservation. This guy is doing a service to his community and the local wildlife.
While you are only dropping a couple of pennies into a charity box and thinking you've done your bit!
Keep up the good work mate.

So many people dont have a clue what foxes do to other animals and to the enviroment. They cause so much damage to crops and animals such as game birds, chickens, birds of prey and many more! They need to be reduced, just because they are killing them does not mean they are going to be killed. If you do not like it don't watch it. Good shot and good footage Yamaha!

Trevlig film! Den gav mig lite puls, för jag saknar rävjakten som bara helvete. Det såg INTE ut att vara en skabbräv, bara en årsunge som inte vuxit på sig ännu. Alla årsrävar jag skjuter i augusti/september ser ut så.

Can't help but feel for mr fox but it was a clean shot and it has to be done to protect stock I guess. No doubt his prey didn't have as quick a death.

Has no one noticed the injured rear leg that it had? this was conservation in its purest sense as it would not have healed very well in the wild. Perhaps the tree huggers should get off their arses and go out and trap it and pay for the vets bill rather than moaning on this video.

    • @thespectator2976

I ´m laughing so hard on these stupid comments :D people that just ended watching nat. Geographic are writing here comments that my mind just cannot accept... If you are gonna write comment like that you should learn what are foxes doing to other animals ... Nice shooting mate

I liked your video and it is a good thing to put down a animal like this. We also have a lot of foxes here in Iceland and we will have to do something about it. They are expanding a lot killing a lot of all kind of birds. And people think that it's our fault that do hunt on a season. What people do not understand is when animal like this expand like this it takes about 80 kíló of moorland birds per nest to get the young one on it's feet. So here in Iceland it looks like this, from the year 2000, where about 2000 foxes and to this day about 15000 foxes. People please do the math and tell us then they don't do harm in nature. Look forward to your next vid.
    All the best from Iceland

+ASF The fox is dropping on the spot, couldn't be a more humane kill. a .222 has plenty of power for a fox.
The fox has some spasms, thats very normal, just like a chicken can run around with no head.
So yes, I think it is a nice shot.

Fox's help keep the rodent population down. If you notice that's what he's looking for in that field your hunting. So I don't see any reason they need to be hunted, unless they are after your chickens.

Lisa Geelen sometimes there are too many foxes in an area. When that happens there are very few grouse, rabbits and other small animals. Balance.

+ASF You think that the body goes limp then they die? That fox was dead in less then 5 seconds after it got shot. The rest is just the system working without the fox being alive.
