Do not underestimate the 6.5 Swede on big game. It is one of my two favourite hunting cartridges. I have harvested Canadian moose, elk and deer with this caliber and it has never let me down. I load the Swede with a 140 grain Nosler Partition, 47 grains of H4831SC the seating depth is adjustable I start at the Max COAL. Groups are good generally on most rifles. I found Sub MOA, can be had playing with seating depth.
You can easily see from the shooting around 3:10 that the forend of the rifle flies to the side at each shot. The lack of support sideways from the front bag would explain why the group is dispersed horizontally. Overall I tend to be very hard on myself at the range, but the results were quite ok given the circumstances. Obviously the shooting support for the 6,5 could be greatly improved. And the two shot "group" out of the 222 with V-Max 40 measures just over ½ MOA so not bad at all. The 222 continues to deliver really well after adding the RCC Hunter suppressor to the wafer thin barrel that used to be beyond finicky.
I've had 8 of those Sako rifles from Foresters to AII. Looks like a bedding issue. I find they shoot much more consistently having been bedded. Even just the front lug makes a difference. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I assume you are making reloads? Are you neck sizing only or full length resizing? I just started watching your videos because I want to use the 6.5 Swede for hunting in the states. I currently shoot M/41 ammo in a M38, M96 and a AG42b.
I have occasionally done neck sizing and would consider it for the 222 for fast sizing. But I full length size about 99% of the time. It ensures proper feeding and chambering. In the 6,5 that is an important aspect but in the 222 I would and have considered it, as it has no need for fast and trouble free cycling of ammo. Plus the cases will have almost eternal life. But in the 6,5 I won’t do it.

Hello Rikard. As usual I throughly enjoyed your video. Love watching you in action.
Thank you Dennis. Wish I was half as interesting and enjoyable to watch as you though 🙂
222 is KING...

Thanks for your input. I will consider this as a potential improvement going forward.
Sweet rifles. Greetings from Brazil !
Thank you Pedro! Greetings from Sweden 😀
For that leupold, do you recall what size optilock rings you used? Extra low, low, or medium?
Sorry but I have no idea 😬 Maybe I could measure the height.

Why are you shooting match bullets in a hunting rifle?
Sounds like you unhappy with it. I can help you with that and take it off your hands
Thanks for the kind offer 😁
