Second time I have listen to papa Cantor Arie and Gidon. Guess I have had pleasure of Arie on guitar and his voice for almost 50 years and thrilled to hear Gidon from a Moshav band to great individual star singer. Now I am going to be nostalgic for my California roots that led me to Shir Ha Ma 'Alot that in ancient history was Harbor Reform Temple. I have found Rabbis of quality that inspire me both in South Florida congregations and here in Boca Raton residence. I am honored to see Rabbi Richard Hersh and converse with him. I almost finished reading his book From the Hill to the Mount. He is a remarkable humane person. I have not found a Cantor yet that I enjoy here. Time to go back and listen to Al Jolsen and soothe my soul. Shavua Tov! Daughter Rachel Espana Landsman and family live in Beit Shemesh, Israel. Aaron is in Chang Mei, Thailand. He goes to the only Jewish presence there, Chabad. He is single and now is seeking to find a lady to marry and even have a child. This is new as he still works and is pursuing graduate school. His knowledge as a chef and creator of appetizers for Americans and food supervisor in Bangkok stopped with Covid-19, yet his other teaching and editing graduate papers from around the world goes on and his writing in Thai in magazines and other media endeavors. David and his love Lorelei live about 20 minutes from me. They are close to the Atlantic ocean. My step children are spread out in USA. I hear broadcasts from Irvine congregation and favorite Florida Reform congregation on web site or or facebook. I sometimes listen to Jewish Broadcast Station New York Synogogue or rarely my local mix of Conservative and Orthodox short service now broadcast at 4 pm. So many choices for Shabbos and other holidays and social action talks. I still miss California the late Rebbe Bernie King, the intellect of Rick Steinberg, and many congregation members there.
