Hairway To Stephen? 🤣
0-3-5
I heard that riff only has 3 notes... once you play them, the devil takes over.
was there
Watching you for years, who knew you were that tall?:)
That shred contest sounds like every guitar store on the planet on any given Saturday morning
They should have turned off all effects to see who truly plays the cleanest 🤭
I remember Dave played a ridiculous version of stairway to heaven on live tv 30 years ago
He sang the solo! Jack Black did a sing the drums thing for Tenacious D’s Beatles medley.
@@flor9389They are in the same Club
Also not hard 😂
Having the tease of Wolfie shredding on SA126 release day is a quality troll in itself. Well done.
Yay! That trip was a win in music, I would say😳.
Just want to mention, I’m a just turned 57, 14 year old, who, after decades with an acoustic, having care-given both folks to dignified and peaceful final exits, is finally plugging in and am a grasshopper with electric. Currently, am using a Boogie Mark V 35 and a Fender Am. Pro II financed for 12 months interest free from American Musical Supply. (They are SO awesome, I felt compelled to spell out their proper name.) I have a playlist of about 200 guitar tutorials and before I die, I WILL sweep-a-pick AND pinch-a-harmonic. Thank you for the constant and consistent information and inspiration!
🙏🏽✌🏽💙 from Minnesota
I normally never make comments, but meeting you at Rockville was super surreal for me since I have been watching you for years now. Just wanted to say that it was awesome being there and talking with you was the highlight of the weekend. Keep up making great content like this!
You're being: sincere, enthusiastic, appreciative and respectful. Those traits tell us that you don't comment on YT vids. Don't let that "reply" button drag you down to our level, haha,
yo man, great vid!! its Rich, it was super cool meeting you qand chatting with you. Thanks for taking the time brother! PS I ended up buying the Mark Holcomb PRS 7 string that they had at AMS and the Mudvayne prototype Dean, both awesome guitars!! Keep up the good work, and see you next year at Rockville!!!!!!!!
That dude who's clearly a metal head but giving it up for Gilmour... hell yeah to that dude
That's great 😂😂 love your content, Tyler. Much love from Indiana and stay hydrated fam ❤️ 💜 💙
Please more stuff like this. So refreshing and shows more of the current music scene!
Love seeing up and coming bands like Slipknot get the spotlight
lol stadium rock isn’t a “scene”
I saw you at the shred competition, I was gonna come up and greet you your one of my favorite UA-camrs. I suffer from really bad social anxiety, I wish I did:(
Hey man, don't beat yourself up on that one. You're brave a shit just going through the gates of a festival like that. Things happen when they're supposed to, who's to say you won't get another opportunity when you're ready?
Great vid, awesome meeting you there! 🤘
Great video! Looked like a lot of fun!!
Sweet stuff Ty! Thanks.
oh man I didnt know you went to Brockville, I would have tried to meet you and go to these tents. awesome !
What an awesome looking festival!! Some incredible shredding too
Wish I could have met you there! I had a blast, hope you loved it.
David Gilmour has so many amazing solos it's hard to choose, and he usually has at least one version for the album and one for live performances (the two songs mentioned in the video have phenomenal solos that are different from the album, like on the Pulse tour which Gilmour fans should watch at least once). Definitely one of the best.
Man, wish I went to the booth! Rockville was wild!
8:05 Seeing myself in a music is win video is insane! The shred competition was definitely one of the highlights of the festival (for any of you that were there, you might know me as pantera shirt/the kid from kentucky)
My son is the 13 year old kid with the foo fighters shirt who made it to the finals with you. BTW You did great man. Like you, Emmitt is ecstatic that Tyler picked him for the finals and he got to be in a Music is Win video.
@bradwilson34 Dude, your son is awesome, especially for being 13. He was killing it! Also, thank you for the kind words!
Very nice with the Requiem at the end and I wasn't sure if you liked classical.
10:32 was me! Great getting to meet you man!
Wouldn’t have been quite cool if one of those Shredders busted out Ralphie M’s “Crossroads” solo, the one he used to take down Jack Butler?
I was in the crowd towards the left that night, amazing show 😭
John frusciante's solo on Dani California is amazing
man i was playing the guitars before the shred contest, wish i could’ve met you man
Tyler, I'm glad you brought forth your inner FOO lol. The FF's are a legendary band in my book. People always say "ew! The Foo Fighters songs all sound the same!" Laughable because no, they don't. I saw them live here in Dallas and the show was AMAZING. I do wish Dave would've whipped out more solos like this
shout out to the guy who said Anastasia - slash for the best solo love that one
I WENT TO THIS CONCERT IT WAS IN ROCKVILLE DAYTONA!!!!!
Foo fighters actually played Van Halen when I saw them live but it was jump sung over imagine cause those two songs are amazing together.
Never underestimate the impact your having on thousands of young Shredi Knights. You SHOULD feel vindicated and happy about it bud. You've put the work in, taken random bottles to the dome, and just basically kick guitar ass! At the rate your going, if you continue this journey giving it your all. Theres no possible way your NOT, gonna be in bigger and better places.
Keep shredd'n Tyler. You're destined for something big.
I remember when he played an intro from Black Flag Slip it In at the beginning of a QOTSA song on drums!
Dexter Holland looks great! Wow.
Perfect day, UPS dropped off a new guitar this morning and now one of the best MIW videos in a long time.
my man David Gilmour getting the love
Gotta love the bit of Aussie muso humour at the end🤣👍🇦🇺
I was there that same day. Bummer I missed you man. Would have been cool to meet you.
One of my fav solos is Cardiacs fiery gun hand
As soon as you said best solo of all time i thought of floods and ut blew my mind when old mate agreed
That fella looks just like the drummer from Nar-vana!! 🤠
this was such a cool video
I've never rode in a golf cart on a nascar track but I've definitely climbed them steep ass heels many times
Great Vid! Keep being yourself Tyler
I crowd surfed to qotsa on Saturday!
5:00 maybe Comfortably Numb, but my favorite is Razor's Edge from Dream Theater's Octavarium
Give the dude who said ATW-Rats in Ruin a cookie. All Them Witches are terribly underrated
To add my personal favorite guitar solo to the list, it's gotta be Painkiller, I've never heard a solo that is so perfectly paced while also being so insanely fast and heavy, and those sweeps in the intro to the solo are just mystical
Such a cool video
He also did this at shakey knees it was great
One of my favorite solos ever is Slash's solo near the end of November Rain
Amen. Solos don’t have to be hard to be great.
Y'know, as first festivals go, Rockville is one of the best (IMO, again, first). I was the kid doing Thunderstruck, and I fucked up. Honestly talking to you after that was genuinely helpful.
BTW, y'all wanna know *why* Dave stopped the show for a security issue? Uh I can tell you, I missed half the concert because of it. Basically there was a pickpocket, stealing phones and shit. Dude right next to me was one of the victims of this pickpocket, and he finds his case right next to him. As the dude confronts the phone theif, the theif pulls out pepper spray and nails me and 5 other people. Honestly, the worst bit was missing the show, but it was a novel experience feeling like my mouth, eyes, and arms were fucking burning.
my dad does a motorcycle class in march at the Daytona speedway called the king of daytona xr200 class
Hell yeah. An All Them Witches shoutout. Tuck in. Great band.
Thank you for not saying this video is sponsored by Sweetwater. It’s nice to see AMS get some love
The "Finale" is genius -
You, Sir, have a dream job. It comes with a lot of hard work, but, oh my what great benefits. You're grin is of Cheshire Cat proportions you lucky, lucky man, sorry, VIP! Great vid mate, greetings from the UK.
10:13 dude bottom right. What an absolute alpha. The outfit, the stance, the beard.
I was grateful to see him at the shred contest and not out in the show stealing my girlfriend.
Incredibly inspiring video, man!
Rad video Tyler! You know it's good when you catch yourself just smiling like an idiot!!!!
Bit if love for The Offspring!

@@animenoob9869 Come Out And Play
@@alpharoo2581Yep, that too🤣👍
I noticed you went to BNA are you from Nashville? If so are you doing guitar lessons? I live in Nashville and need a teacher
Side note, I really wish those Trini Lopez/Dave Grohl Gibsons were made more affordably. They look/sound fantastic.
Dude in the Archspire shirt was killing it on the shred competition :/
the To Live Is To Die guy major respect!!
Spotted the Springbok jersey at 9:56
Most wholesome F-bomber in Rock
I THOUGHT I SAW YOU THERE MAN!!! I wasn't 100% sure though because well i had already spent some time with my buddy Jack D.
0:49 I f*cking LOVE Dave!!!
The Floods solo is indeed the greatest.
The shred contest is what hell sounds like
Wolfgang was actually doing the solo in the background 😅
It was super cool meeting you rock villie was amazing 🫶🤘
best solo is the ending solo from fade to black with Metallica, live in Moscow 1991
11:56 - A question as old as time.
What's the music behind the montage at 10mins?
Wolf always +1. 🤘🏻😀🤘🏻
“We’re waiting for Black Veil Brides”
Yeah, didn’t see that coming.
"To Live Is To Die" solo....AMEN!
My european mind can't really comprehend this, but still good video dude:)
Best is La villa Strangiato-Rush
Was that Ricky Carmichael near the end posing for a selfie?
I really hope you gave him a t shirt. It can't get hot enough for that.
Never change, Dave…..never change.
Dave Grohl is a national treasure and a rock legend.
Floods makes me more emotional than other solos, but Dimebag, Friedman, Mustaine and Hammett have so many awesome solos, picking a #1 is impossible.
The 6505II IS A KILLER AMP.
To live is to die af. That dude is a legend for naming that one.
I mean, naturally you won't get this answer at a hard rock fest, but I'll stick my neck out and say the best solo for capturing the vibe of the song without getting too technical is the outro of "Faithfully" by Neal Schon.
YOU WERE THERE??? dang i probably walked past you ten times and never knew it
Not sure if anyone else posted this already, but apparently the issue in the pit when Dave started playing the forbidden riff was due to a pick-pocketer getting caught and once he started getting confronted, he pepper sprayed the people coming at him. He ended up getting dragged out by multiple security guards right through the center, went right by my brother and I who were standing about center by the Ferris wheel. Saw someone post on Reddit addressing the thief who pepper sprayed him telling him to burn in hell lol. As for how he got the pepper spray in, security wasn’t too tight so can’t imagine it was very difficult.
For the guitar solo segment, you said that the only overlapping guitarists were Dimebag, Slash, and David Gilmour; but James Hetfield pops up multiple times as well. One said Nothing Else Matters, and the other said To Live Is To Die. Two Metallica solos were picked, yet neither of them are Kirk Hammett's, lmao.
i was at the festival it was cool
Anastasia by Slash! I made the cut, damn yeah!
😂 that’s F BOMB hilarious!!
The issue was pretty messed up too. Pickpockets were running rampant this year and one got caught and was about to get what they deserved. Turns out they snuck in pepper spray and sprayed it and ran. At least according to people that were hit with pepper spray during foo fighters.
wasnt this already uploaded?
I did upload an Instagram Reel of just this moment that has like 3M views, you probably saw that
the guy in the homelander costume...moelander
For me, the Guitar Solo of All Time would be my top 5 list was:
1. Linkin Park - In Pieces
2. Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
3. Metallica Enter Sandman
4. Pantera - Walk
5. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
one of my favorite bangers of all time.
Omg i was there very front left at the gate
Damnit, why is the netherlands not filled with rock festivals. Its all Techno here.
