Nahh mate we were tolerating eachother until the media stirred hate in the 20s blaming catholics from Ireland for the lack of jobs which was actually due to a bad economy at the time. Our hate doesn't stem from the days of old. Stems from the media.

Wow. I couldn't believe my eyes. Two of my friends from work are in this video at the Parkhead Stadium tour. They're the first ones taking a picture of the guy standing with the tour guide in the dressing room. I live about 30 miles west of Glasgow. Great video JJ.

There is unfortunately a large amount of Rangers fans who don't support the national team due to their belief that the SFA is to blame for their administration and subsequent relegation woes. Not that this has anything to do with the players on the national team though, this has therefore created a bigger rift between Rangers fans and the rest of the fans in Scotland with many branding them as traitors who choose to support the England national team instead.

Celtic Fan here. I did business with Both rangers and Celtic 2008. When visiting Ibrox everyone was very professional and courteous. When visiting Celtic the marketing people were very condescending and very unwelcoming. They made very disparaging comments towards the fanbase which was very unnecessary. They couldnt get rid of us quick enough.

As a Rangers supporter, I totally agree with you.
Its not outdated if you have to live amongst it. the anti Catholic/anti Irish feeling is so strong in that medieval country. The reason why I got out.
Remember it works both ways. Has done as long as I can remember. Anti Protestant and Scottish which has been replaced by anti English and British too... Sadly.

Done the Celtic park tour with my granddaughter £17 each and it was great and my granddaughter who was never a footy fan now she loves my club as much as i do.

Bet you didn't know that Rangers socks are black with red tops is because when the strip was designed at that time they hated black people and catholic and as the song says up to there knees in there blood, terrible
Ibrox has been modernised a fair bit in places since this video, tunnel area is like a nightclub now, home dressing room has had some small touches to modernise it, all the bath areas are brand new now and the members lounges and restaurant are all modernised now as well.
Both stadiums are pretty class though. 👍

I’m from Northern Ireland, & the hatred between the fans is real…but it’s not about football - there are places in the town I’m from where if you are considered to be from the other side, you won’t get out.
I’ve had weapons pulled on me from both sides because I don’t like either & have been called a “traitor to my own kind”.
It’s not about football - it’s about claiming territory for Britain or Ireland, where you raise Protestant or Catholic (doesn’t matter if you still are, it’s where you are from).
It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with control of the population. Divide and conker, its tactic as old as the hills. Dumbass ppl believe what they are told.
Ibrox has had alot of changes since this video was recorded and its currently having more renovations done. Good video though

Celtic never had a problem with protestants playng for them. The same couldn't be said for Rangers until ex-celtic player Mo Johnston broke the mould and signed for them in 1989.

As a big generalisation Rangers are pro British & Protestant and Celtic are pro Irish & Catholic, Rangers fans fly the Union Flag (Union Jack) and Celtic Fans fly the Irish Triclour

What I found very strange about the reviewed video, was that when he had the Rangers shirt on at Celtic park he took it off to reveal the Celtic top and didn’t do the same when visiting ibrox when he had the Celtic top on,so in my view that was one of the reasons why the visit to ibrox was a bit more negative, I put this to him and I recall he said it was something to do with an editing problem which I didn’t buy, it’s the guys video and channel he should have control of all that surely.🤷♂️🔴⚪️🔵watp

@@stubbsieshorse327 I did say that my suggestion was only one of the reasons, nobody’s saying the ibrox staffs approach was top notch or anything, that definitely could’ve been better, flip sake I even told the guy I went with my father for a tour of Ibrox before a match and I wasn’t overly impressed with how we were treated either and we were supporters, I just think both parties could’ve come out of the video a bit better looking is all.
They probably just thought he was a bit special needs.
The ground in the East End of Glasgow is also known as Lego Land. Built on the cheap and won't last . On the other hand Ibrox stadium is built to last.
Jealousy is a terrible thing. Your building lasted longer than your club that's for sure. At least we didn't sell our club for a pound and I think you'll find we're more financially stable, think our stadium shows that. Hail Hail.

Scottish Football in my opinion is the strongest it's been as a league since 2003. Rangers, and Celtic in particular are both of equal quality, and a high standard in regards to squads. We obviously well short by 4 pts, but managed a European final, and won the Scottish Cup, we finished 2nd, with Hearts finishing 28 points behind us. The Old Firm is by far miles ahead of the rest of the league, and the fact Hearts finished nearly 30 pts behind us is insane but really puts things into perspective. I cannot wait till 2022/23 though, we'll have Rangers, Celtic, and Hearts competing in Europe. Scottish football hasn't seen 3 teams competing in Europe for a long time, and to have a league with a European finalist, Celtic back in the UCL, and hopefully we manage to get the UCL also? That'll really bring allot more interest to Scottish football which to me seems like a league that is on the up.
This past season, Scottish football was far more exciting than the EPL.
@@chillinlee I agree mate. It's all phones out during a match, and little to no atmosphere. Christ grounds like Fir Park, Tynecastle, and Easter Road have better atmospheres than Old Trafford, and Etihad. That's how passionate the Scottish fans are.

There not actually called that. They are colloquially called that. Neither is in the clubs name mate
we got to 9 in a row then covid hit...without supporters football is nothing....as said by Jock Stein...we lost 10 in a row to rangers who were used to playing little grounds with no support lol
now as i write weve just beaten rangers 4-0 after a 9-0 win at aberdeen...next is real madrid in the champions league..the teams ruthless now and play with mantra"we dont stop"

I just wanna say I'm a rangers fan yes there is a massive rivalry between us but I have many friends who are celtic fans. I hate celtic with a passion but doesn't mean I hate all celtic fans. I've had a fight in football but that's when I was playing the game, I've never hit anyone over rangers and celtic but I do love my team.
If your interested in Scottish football you should have a look at footy adventures he does lots of content on Scottish, English even European football, maybe you could find some content to react too

one fact should be made aware off, Rangers Football Club went into Liquidation in 2011! this is a fact, a new club was created in 2012, it called itself New Co Rangers and had to start in the lowest tier of Scottish Football. Everything before this date 2012 was lost but the fans think it was just a continuation of the old club. This is a lie as Liquidation mean it DIED

Ibrox main stand and entrance is a historical grade A listed building marble floors and spiral staircase, the Club wouldn’t be allowed to alter, The Stadium is 5 star graded by UEFA along with Hampden only two in the county
Rangers is a 5 star stadium ranked by eufa and can hold european finals. celtic park is made from breeze blocks and pipes. its the largest stadium but its not in the same league as ibrox. tbh its a bit of a dump.
I went to Celtic park for a concert years ago and had to wipe my feet on the way out.
No they can't,to have a 5 star stadium you need an entrance for a coach to go straight into the stadium,so get your facts right
the reasons Celtic were not given a five star rating is due to the size of the toilets/bathroom for the players and player coach access. Apart from that it is superior to the Ibrox public lavatory building.
celtic park is definitely not a dumb, it is way more modern and is far superior to ibrox in basically every way apart from 1 and thats the bathrooms, celtic park didn’t get 5 star because the bathrooms were to small mate 💀
