yes, anyone who really knows Flamenco and been around the culture knows there is not really a right or wrong way to dance Flamenco, the most important aspect of the dance and music is feeling the compas (rhtthm) and expressing your own unique style. Some are more expressive, or more emotional than others at the time, just depends on how they are feeling that night. The dance is about expressing emotions while you mark the time in the music.

Well then, if the dance is all about expression of feelings, I guess we can all as audience express our opinions as well. I enjoyed the video overall. My favorite dancers use correct form for starters. That starts with posture, brazeos, distinction of footwork, etc. For me, if form is not a factor, I don't care how care how many "feelings" are being expressed. It just looks like drama to me, and it's not that interesting.
In flamenco there is so much to pay attention to. The feet making such beautiful sounds, the hands grasping at the hem of the dress or swirling them like doves ready to fly, the twists and turns of the body that would put some contortionist to shame and the expressions of the face. And the cantores and guitarists. Pure art.
I've seen dancers from around the world dance flamenco but no dancer can innately evoke the artistry, attitude, spirit, fire and passion of the dance like the Spanish 🇪🇸 💃

Read a few of these comments - I'm amazed at how many people make comments when they clearly know nothing about this traditional art form. Caterwauling? The so-called critics are just uncultured and small minded. I'm of Indian descent and enjoy listening to flamenco music because to me it is very reminiscent of certain music from South Asia. I suppose since flamenco is partly derived from Spanish Romani culture (and Romani migrated from Northern India centuries ago), this familiarity makes sense. Whatever the subliminal reasons, my senses find it (and this performance) captivating. 🌹

Today I stood and observed Alejandra Gudi teach an intermediate class in working with the Mantones at what is to me the new digs of the previous building at Calle Amor del Dios which has now relocated to Calle Santa Isabel 5 on the top floor of a foods market. Though climbing up the stairs passing by the smell of cheese and fried fish saddened me of the perpetual momentum for condos taking over arts buildings the hallway as soon as you enter the new place is so full of pictures and articles which was overwhelming how amazing it is to have such a place survive the decades. Alejandra had about 15 students with a very diverse look as serious flamenco dancers from all over the world are drawn to this Mecca for flamenco. Miss Gudi was meticulous with both the movements, the rhythmic pattern, the handicapping accompanying the singing, which she provides, and on top of all this arms flying with the Manton which is the dancers extended wings, her partner, her protection, her shield, her emotions, her hopes and fears. The degree of seriousness and methodical work is enormous. Indeed duende, as expounded by the eloquent Federico Garcia lecturing all over Spain and South America, must be summoned up by the dancer to allow flamenco dancing and singing and guitar to reach a level of transcendence, but what prepares and leads to that moment is repeated handwork day in day out, over and over and over until one gets it physically so that everything looks as if the dancer has just come up with it. People who had not gone through this kind of discipline should indeed "hush," and I should not be so snooty about tourists. They bother to want to see dancing and other art forms which may be lost if left to fashion and trend promoted by the cognoscenti of the moment, people of some visibility or notoriety but might have vacuous aesthetic notions. Flamenco has withstood the vicissitudes of time and fashion precisely because dancers could rely on performing for tourists at night who have bought dinners to see them. With that money they make dancing into the wee hours of the night they pay for their classes the next day and continue to allow their artistry to grow. Tourists may remember the classic songs and the traditional attire so that talented dancers learn these well before leap-hoping to the ultra-modern immediately, as so often with concert dancing.
I would love to go one day to Spain only to experience what is like to be a Spaniard. I have it in my blood and it is part if my heritage, my culture! Que viva nuestra Madre Patria España!!!

Taking a dance class, the instructor stated- to take the floor as your space- and these dances perfectly, and skillfully did just that with beautiful expression.
Awesome to see good Flamenco. The Gitano art form evokes a swagger, passion and élan that’s empowering for its performers. Similar to that displayed by matadors during the corrida de toros.
They were all outstanding but the lady in red...she was feeling it so deeply...or, maybe I felt I could feel her saying things to me and it was so visceral she sent me somewhere. I can’t explain it.

I saw a show downtown Seville a few years ago. Just amazing. The show in Barcelona was good as well but we seated way behind as opposed butted up against the front of the stage in Seville. The dancers dress “tresses” came within a few inches of my wine glass. Not to mention the wood chips being kicked up from the stage. Nothing, in my opinion beats the gypsy flamenco for style, poise and passion.

The dancing & the playing is very well done. One doesn’t know how much work it takes to perform such outstanding performance unless you have done it yourself. I have been to Japan & seen their performance also l have met a flamenco guitarist. After that I bought an album & copied the music on cassette for keepsake.
Saw a similar performance by a traveling Andalusian group in Barcelona. Mesmerizing!
So powerful! A real treat!!!! These performers bring it from their souls-every single one of them.
Bravissime e bellissime what a performance WOW, such passion and sensuality. To me flamenco is a mix of Gipsy and Arabic cultures as you can clearly find in certain areas of Spain. I really enjoy it thanks!
Flamenco, No Arabic, No gyspy,No Juden, Andaluz, Español,Celtibero, Mediterraneo.....
Flamenco has always been in Spain, even Romans talked about the Spanish castanets
EL FLAMENCO ES ANDALUZ

You should clearly carry on 🙂
Loved it, loved it, LOVED it! Truly amazing.
The epitome of grace, energy and beauty..... Its a God gift for them. Too good. Kudos to all the flamenco dancers👏👏👏👏👏
Wow that's a great one the first one already won me.
I visited Spain this Feb 2020 for two weeks & saw a stage performance by singers, dancers & guitar players. I recorded on my phone & enjoyed there music a lot. I also enjoyed my stay there & spoke those who also speak Spanish like myself. I love listening to flamenco music.
I start to learn Spanish because of this. Now I can say Spanish still feel Flamenco is so amazing

I love flamenco music.. I have the music from Carlos Montoya & Sabina on cassette from the album I had. I have listened other to other guitars players that play Flamenco music & I have sent this show to my email so that I can see it again & again. Thank you You Tube for the upload. I speak Spanish from Madrid, Spain. And love to visit there one day. Muchas gracias mi el mano.
Taking a dance class, the instructor stated- to take the floor as your space- and these dances perfectly, and skillfully did just that with beautiful expression.
Beautiful Flamenco was part of me!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊
As I slept on my couch... I awoke to find 3 Flamenco dancers in my midst .... no I did not return to sleep … rather I began to live the dream.
Excellent, passionate dancers. These are some of the best because they are authentic and improvise each show. This is a dance of the gypsies.
Not sure about gypsies... but yeah, it's hard to fake authentic... and this video proves it...
Cheese and Onions it’s Romani tho
EL BAILE FLAMENCO ES DANZA ESPAÑOLA DE ANDALUCIA¡¡¡
loved these performers the guy got my heart racing!!!
Absolutely beautiful and!
I highly recommend Calo Gitano Flamenco Academy in Atlanta, GA! My first time watching a show and it didn't disappoint! Very good ratings!
El flamenco me encanta. Love
El flamenco es arte
Lo mejor de toda España
Lo bailan en Japón y en todo el mundo 🌎 olé olé 👏
IMHO - Flamenco is what the best Tango dancers wish they could be.
I don't understand any word but I just loved it😍
Te juro que tú, hermosa bailarina, eres de origen árabe-andaluz, y tu aspecto no deja lugar a dudas, busca en la historia de tus antepasados para saber quién eres.
For the guitarist to truly accompany the dancer and singer is much different than playing flamenco guitar alone in a concert setting.
I really appreciated the dance of flamenco it excuted the best form of art of dancing...I hope I will travel in Spain someday
I like it.
Thank you to all participants I enjoy it
Though I know nothing about the culture..... I felt the freedom and the enthusiasm in their moves, whether it's for tourists or not it is beautiful
I've seen show like that in Seville, Andalusia. I wish I were there once again... The best show I've seen in my life
IDK if you are talking about the same one as the one I went to, but if it is it blew my mind as well. It was a popular on you see posters for
I saw a show downtown Seville a few years ago.
Macarena Ramirez brought me here……she is absolutely unbelievable,
These people are all in for this art! Ole Bravo!
Wonderful dancing! You are all amazing! Beautiful!🌹
Que grupo maravilhoso!
Dançam com muito sentimento.
People who don’t know, have no idea how damn near impossible this is to do. These are skills from God and we are blessed to witness them.
Fandangos, alegrias... Despues se hizo tarde y me fui a dormir.
iOle, viva el arte!
Die Darsteller auf diesem Video haben mich jetzt so sehr an damals erinnert und natürlich noch ein ganz großes DANKESCHÖN für diese Aufnahme !!! 👍👍👍
Bravo mujeres, los músicos y el cantor.
I ❤ the fire, spirit, passion.
love this beautiful to see great dancing and guitar
