If you are a professional podcaster, I believe it is important to minimize these errors/quirks; it is kind of like fit and finish of a vehicle, does it affect the performance and safety of the car? No, not in an of itself. HOWEVER, perhaps it is a sign that things have not been done correctly (or knowingly left incorrectly) and makes one wonder what else was also not done correctly.
