I never heard of it but I’m glad you showed us.
Love it love it love it
I really enjoy how much detail your videos are
Let’s do it again!
Awesome video bro that’s what I’m talking about💪💪💪💪💪💪
Technically sound video bro!
Great job GDG
active brake assistance isn't available below what ever the minimum cruse speed is set at.
it becomes available once you hit that speed and the light stays on until then.
Dope video mate
Last year one of my drivers hit a cow in the road and demolished the front end. It was an insurance claim so I had Freightliner do the repair. Since then I’ve had it into 4 different shops for the radar and no one can fix it. I finally bitched at Freightliner enough and they agreed to remove it from the truck even though it is illegal to do so. I can’t stand all the electronics in the new trucks. No one knows how to fix them right and since the software is proprietary you can’t even learn how to fix them yourself.
Mine FCAM front radar got ripped off. Do I need to replace it with the exact same model #, or can I pick any of them that fit the screw config?
Man whish I had a mechanic like you in my erea one that actually gives a shit great video brother
I totally agree brother. ❤
Hey i m not sure if I bring the truck would you do the repair or you just fixing your own equipment
Where are you at?
@@Gasdieselgarage i m located in Philadelphia Pa but i usually go Texas and back i can come close to you
I got a question I don’t have the option for Detroit assurance in my diagnostic link?
You may have to get an upgraded version of diagnostic link. Unfortunately…
I called Detroit diesel I guess they said it’s a dealer license or something. I’m always working on VRDU issues but can never get it all the way done because I can’t align!😢
@@Dalow_CruziqLifestyle yes that’s actually correct..yes it sucks
@@Gasdieselgarage another random question, I work on a lot of Freightliner’s from 2016-2024. I use diagnosticlink just the standard edition but I don’t have techs, would you recommend me adding techlit. Does it really help with certain issues pertaining to the jobs done like SCR, DPF, Vrdu?
I need your help! I am a OTR driver that took my truck into the shop for issues with cruise and distance warning, The cruise would kick out, jake brake would come on and truck would slow quickly. I would have to shut off cruise to speed back up. Then all the idiot lights (adaptive cruise not available, braking, etc) would come on, Then the distance warning would come on and there would be no one around the truck. I turned it into the shop after I got back off the road. After two days, I get a call from HR. They said the mechanic found where I had supposedly disabled the front sensor with duct tape. They have pictures (which, I wasn't allowed to see) and even had the printout from Detroit showing that this problem started at the beginning of my trip. I DID NOT do this to my truck!! I think my truck may have been sabotaged while I was in the truck stop asleep or in the restaurant. Have you ever heard of this happening? I questioned the Detroit report because their results say that it happened during the entire trip but, the problems with cruise only happened during the return part of my trip. I did lose my job. I would appreciate any help you could give me!
Damn I’m so sorry you are going through this.. well 1st are you the only person who drives the truck?….are there any other drivers who operate the truck in the past?….a lot of times I’ve seen where drivers remove the fuses disabling the Detroit assurance system. Also duct tape wouldn’t disable it…I’ve seen drivers put tin foil in front of the front sensor. That would make it go haywire. But also the Detroit assurance wiring harnesses are so paper thin you could very well have a broken wire somewhere. Oh and FYI ….i don’t think your company can monitor the Detroit assurance system remotely…they most likely have another camera system installed on the windshield or mirrors…that’s another story of course….do you have that type of camera stuff?….drive cams and Detroit assurance are completely different things. Let me know I’ll help as much as I can
Also if the mechanics didn’t calibrate the Detroit assurance properly that causes those issues
@@Gasdieselgarage Thanks for your reply. I am the only one who has driven this truck for the past 5 months. Fuses were never mentioned=only the duct tape. I didn't think duct tape would mess it up because< I have seen driver put their NY HUT Tax stickers on the outside cover.?? I asked about cameras and they told me any footage was gone! One last question. Is that module, the actual radar sealed? You couldn't open it up and make changes could you???
@@treyfeeley2519 that square box in the center of the bumper is the radar. It’s a sealed unit I assure you that…I doubt someone opened it up. It’s not possible unless you cut it open. I have replaced those pieces of crap radars before unfortunately.
@@Gasdieselgarage Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
I really hope this video gets distributed to every person in the world.
Amen to that brother
Epic how to videos I swear 😊
Where you located
What city and state are you in ? I need to bring my truck to you. Let me know please
Learn how to drive , and you will not need collision radar!
Stop texting and driving or watching videos !
Stay safe everyone everyone!
I found the radar is extremely dangerous, it will take control from driver without warning!!
No argument there bud 💪
That’s insane.
What if my radar is missing cause a dear ripped it off. Where can I buy one and a cable, with out going to freightliner
😮😮😮😮😮
System is completely useless thru and thru for experienced drivers because you cant turn any of it off and the last thing i want is the truck thinking on its own....none of it is necessary if you know how to drive which you should because your supposed to be a professional. It is great for newbies and trainees and should only be on trainer trucks
This radar system is the worst idea in practice. It takes control away from the driver. How would you like it if your truck slammed on the brakes while you're going down a 6% grade with a curve, and there's literally no obstacles in the road. It'll also slam on the brakes when someone exists the highway and isn't even in your lane.
Insane crash 🥺
