Hey Guys! It’s come to our attention that a couple of things have changed since we last sailed on Iona… 1. You can now book the Chefs Table 2 weeks before you sail via the my p&O website 🎉 2. Sadly, the complimentary Afternoon Tea in The Main Dining rooms are no longer running… 😢 Shame but in our opinion, the paid for one in the Epicurean is well worth it if you’re able too.
Fantastic video! We go on our first ever cruise to the fjords on Iona for a week in may and then two weeks to Spain/Portugal in November! I can't wait!!🎉
Thanks so much! 🥂 You are going to have the best time! Iona is truly a fantastic ship and it sounds like you’re going on 2 of the best itineraries! How exciting! We hope you LOVE cruising as much as we do and if you think of any questions, get in touch and we will do our best to help or atleast point you in the right direction! Happy New Year! 🥂🥳🎉🍻🛳️
@@GetLostWithBenAndGareth we are indeed! Grandparents, parents and kids all aboard to celebrate a milestone birthday. Taste 360 and the beach house seem to be the most mentioned places to eat right now with the kids 😊😊
Oh wow that sounds awesome! What a great experience for everyone. We absolutely love the beach house! If you like nachos the small bowl is plenty for 2 people for reference. I think the large could do 4-5 easily. The chicken wings… wow. Delicious. I’d have as a main if I could. I may well ask for that next time actually! Mind blown. Haha.
Good morning guys. Really informative video, lots of great info. Which cruise line are you using in March for your Carribean trip? We always enjoy your content, Happy New Year !!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey! Thanks so much. We really do appreciate the support! We will be sailing on P&O’s Arvia! It will be interesting to see all the little differences between her and Iona. 🛳️ Happy New Year! 🎉🥳🍻
Thanks guys. Can i ask if there are any offers for the thermal spa when you board? I can only see a single pass to pre book but a lot of other vloggers have mentioned a week's pass.
Our pleasure and thanks for watching! They do tend to offer week passes as well occasionally 3 day passes though it can vary sailing to sailing. It’s worth noting the passes cover 2hrs per day (to prevent overcrowding). From memory it was £99 for 3 days (you select which days you want with the guys at the spa when booking). I can’t remember the price for a week I’m afraid but I think it was around £169. If you’re going to use it, it’s absolutely worth it. One of the best spas at sea. 🌊 Happy New Year! 🎉🥂🥳
Hi! Thanks for the brill vlog. My fiancé and I are first time cruisers and we've booked the Iona for a week in Aug - we are so excited! I just wanted to ask (as we are keen beans and want to get everything sorted), when would yiu recommend booking restaurants and bars? Is there a way we can book in advance before we board? If so, when? We have also booked a couple's massage on our last day whilst at sea. Do treatments include access to the facilities? Or will we have to pay extra? Oh and I've heard that checking out a jacuzzi at sunrise is pretty nice! Do you have to book those at all? Sorry for all of the questions 😭 Thanks so much in advance x
Hey! Thanks so much! We’re glad you found it helpful. Be sure to check out our latest vlog which will have loads of handy tips for Norway too! No worries questions wise, happy to help where we can! 🙂 Dining and Bar bookings. Bar wise, no booking necessary. Just turn up and enjoy. If there’s a quiz on in Brodies, I’d recommend getting there say 45-60 mins early as it can get very busy! Dining wise, you can book most venues up to 2 weeks before you sail. The earlier you book of course the more chance you have of getting what you want. Main Dining room wise, you will have selected a dining time when booking or opted for freedom dining where you can turn up anytime between 6pm till 9:30pm. I believe you can join the virtual queue when using Freedom Dining, if so, it’s worth joining the queue on the p&o app (web page) about 20mins from when you want to dine to save queueing in the freedom dining queue as it can get quite busy at times! Spa wise, unfortunately unless anything has changed recently, the thermal suite isn’t included as part of the massage packages. You have to book it separately. This is probably to help prevent over crowding (and make more money!). I wouldn’t recommend booking the thermal suite on the website. I’d go straight to the Oasis Spa as soon as you embark and see if they have deals. For example when we last sailed they had the standard pass or a 3 day pass (which I think was £99) and a 7 day pass (which I think was £149) which of course works out cheaper. Either way, enjoy your massage! I’m sure it’ll be great! 😊 Jacuzzi wise, that sounds like a brilliant plan. We saw someone doing that when we were recording our ship tour and it looked incredible! No booking necessary. They are just first come first serve. For sunrise, I’d recommend the ones at the aft (back) of the ship at the Sunset Bar. They are HUGE and perfect (as long as the sun is in the right place of course! 😂) I hope this helps and we wish both an incredible cruise! It’s the best! 🛳️🥂🥳🎉☀️
Hey, thanks for watching! The Sunset Bar is normally the best spot as long as the weather is good. Otherwise the Crows Nest Bar. Iona is really well designed with accessibility one of its key design points. Have a great time. 🥂🚢☀️
Hello Can you tell me if you have to show your insurance paperwork on embarkation , just need to know what I need to have ready and in order please . Many thanks 😊
Hey! Yes absolutely, always have it handy. They normally ask. It’s worth double checking your travel insurance has cruise cover. Most do nowadays but worth checking. Once confirmed, highlight it so it’s nice and easy for them to see. (Speeds up the process 🙂) It’s always handy to print out all docs just incase there are data issues or you phone breaks on the day. If you’ve got paper confirming everything, you will be fine. Have the best time! 🛳️🥳🎉🥂
Very helpful thank you but I just wanted to point out a couple of tips of yours that are now slightly out of date 😢 sorry. We are sailing on Iona this week and the chefs table IS now available to book in advance 2 weeks before sailing hurrah ! Sadly though we are told that afternoon tea is no longer served in the main dining rooms, it’s only now available in the epicurean boooo 😩
Awe, no need for sorry! It’s very kind of you to point that out so we can keep our community well informed! 😄 I’ll pin a comment to give everyone a heads up. Thank you and have a great day ahead. 🥳🥂🛳️
Hey! You don’t need to purchase a WiFi to use the My Holiday “App”. When on board though, you will need to join the P&O Cruises Guest WiFi and then login to the app either using the QR codes you can find in your cabin or you can use this link. sit.webapp-ship1.pocruises.com You will need the last 6 digits of your cruise card number to login. 🙂 Hope this helps! 🥂🛳️🎉
HI I WANT TO SEE NORWAY AND IS THE CHEAPER WAY TO DO IT BUT CAN . BUT WE ARD WORKING CLASS ANDI ONLY WHERE JEANS AND TÈ SHRITS AND TRAINERS I DONT LIKEDRASSING UP IS THAT OK . AND DO YOU GET A TV AND KETTLE IN THE CABINS PLEASE .
Hi Paul, it’s a great way to see Norway for sure and agree on being cost effective. No pressure at all to dress up. We’re very much jeans and T-shirts too. P&O do have formal nights, but you can still be casual in the casual dining areas. You do have a tv and kettle yes. Also some pretty awesome biscuits 😄

Great to hear! Are you sailing on Iona shortly? 😃
@@GetLostWithBenAndGareth haven’t got an Iona sailing booked yet but hope to book one soon. Are you going back on?
We’d highly recommend her for sure. We’re not booked onto Iona for now but we are going on her sister, Arvia in March! We can’t wait! 🥂🥳🎉
@@GetLostWithBenAndGareth oh amazing, Arvia is like Iona with enhancements right so looks like you’ll enjoy it.
