How is it a judge, who is supposed to be the overseer of justice and integrity for the court is allowed to lie to the jury and everyone just says "Oh well"? Where is the oversight of this colossal misconduct?
There is an appeal process. That is part of the oversight process. In the Federal system, the congress also holds oversight ability. The problem is that congress refuses to do its duty and police the courts. Most of the state courts have a similar set up.

I think it would be AWESOME if Robert Costello filed a police report for witness tampering and a Judicial Complaint. After all, the Judge INTENTIONALLY and PURPOSFULLY altered the substance of the witness testimony to reflect something the witness never intended. Seems to me, the witness would have the absolute right to file a complaint to police and the Judicial Ethics Board.

The defense already objected and these points, among others, will be grounds for appeal if Trump is convicted. The judge knows that a conviction will not hold up on appeal

An issue is absolute immunity, a judge created doctrine. The Warren Court made law when they exempted judges, prosecutors, and officials from civil rights law.
