Calvin, in the structure that you found in 18:41, you can break the middle wool at the room that appears it has nothing in it and you'll access the hidden room underneath and there is also another hidden room in there if you flick the right torch that is hanging and you'll access an enchantment room with book shelves that some has xp tomes

Also, make sure to take the wildberry juice in the barrel (take the barrel) and the other structures. Wildberry wine increases the level of any buffs you have. Grape wine extends the length by a minute

Is it always like that? Cause I've often experienced that it starts in early summer, and gives you immediate overheating.

@@ninenezumi I’ve experienced both, but mainly the early summer one.
@@NBrixH so far i've experienced mid-late spring, barely had a problem with temperature.
my only issue was with the mobs
The best (worst) part of this mod pack is the feeling of “what is that?” To “WHAT IS THAT?!” In about three seconds.

It's wild how i have been rewatching your hardcore rlcraft series lately and then you start a NEW ONE? Super excited for this
Okay, so in the beginning of the episode, Calvin mentioned that he wanted Dragonsteel armor. I'm a bit of a weird person, and decided to read the entire RLCraft change log, and in it, I noted that Dragonsteel armor has been disabled by default.
I hope this is helpful.
You should be able to re-enable Dragonsteel through the config, if you want it back in.

@@Raven_HyperNova the version of Ice and Fire that Shivaxi included with RLCraft does NOT have Dragonsteel. the Changelog was a troll, as is the Discord reply when people ask about Dragonsteel.

8:02 You can blow up the chests (although steel, iron and diamond tier locks won't blow up). There are also lock enchants ( complexity increases the level of lockpick you have to use for the lock and then there's another one that zaps you each time your lockpick breaks). These killed me so many times
There is also a way to entirely skip the lockpicking menu, you need to shift-right click on the chest, doing this will make it so you pick up the chest and break the lock along with it. I know its a bit cheaty but some people find it very annoing to lockpick chests, maybe Calvin will find this useful ?

In the house at 19:30, there is a hidden enchant table. If you go into the tiny room to the right of the jukebox when u enter and dig down, you will find a basement. In the basement, go around the whole thing to a wall with a candle and a candle lever, and you can break the wall to enter a room with an enchanting table set up for level 30 and an enchanting table.

Also, for the base, you could make it an underground laboratory sort of place, lots of rooms for various purposes under the ground at various levels. Kind of like the vaults in Fallout.

I loved this series back in 2019 and I’m so exited for u to make this new series. This new series is gonna be so hype.
i dont recomend going for dragon steel, even if you have updated rlcraft to 2.9 because theres an ARMOR cap, just like a damage cap. the damage cap may have been changed a little, not 100% sure, but the armor cap is 100% real. dragons are also bugged in updated ice and fire with rlcraft if you didnt notice somehow in this episode (making this comment at the start lol)

Turtle the Turkey: literally the most powerful character in this game. He could literally one tap everything in every dimension. Turtle chooses not to however because he doesn't care for destruction. Likes: cliffhangers and seeds.
Cxlvxn: Our protagonist trying to level up and make something of himself in this world. Likes: birch planks (but not birch chests), food and not dying.

I recommend levelling up agility, there are new skills that can be unlocked and they are really helpful! You can unlock a dodge ability, a wall jump ability and a ledge grabbing ability!
I have them all on my world and they're almost a necessity for avoiding enemies and mobility in general
15:55 the enemy heals extremely fast in water, arrows work just fine on them
Hopper and barrel I think might work underneath the locked chest, and specifically barrel

the secret basement in the villager house thingy! its like a bar thing which is under a carpeted trapdoor in the middle of the room which i guess you could call a broom closet. cool area which is underground! love the videos they always make me smile!

btw you can smelt down locks after picking them for nuggets you can also smelt down armor pieces for full ingots

First stone axe doesn't have reach 1 and with reach modificator on sweeping, long and masterfull gives half a block, reach is one full block allowing more easy kiting, also nunchaku are good at keeping mob at bay, well not a blight or extra fast one, second there is now mini shulker box to store more loot called oak crates, that can be found in villages, you missed one, theses guys called grue can teleport behind the player at any give moment and if the player is affected by darkness he will remove darkness and heal himself. xD

Hey kelvin those tentacles monster thingys around 6:18 are passive if you walk near them instead of running, daily dose of fun facts!
I'm not trying to say RLcraft isn't difficult, but there is a modpack that is in my opinion, twice as difficult if not more than RLcraft.
It's called Rebirth of the night. It has a ton of cool mechanics that completely change the way you have to play the game. For example, certain zombies have the ability to dig to you. If those zombies know where you are, they WILL try to dig to you. It's really expansive and detailed, and fun.
