For a new series, this was awesome and I imagine it’ll only get better. And I think you chose the right car.

I’ve said it before. Frankie’s car is like no other car. A total package of all types of racing in one. Plus I’ve yet to see you go from smiling to fear in a second. I’ve watched that video at least 20 times. I’ve sent it to many of my friends who loved it. My favorite car of all time. Keep up the great work.
Your facial expressions in the grey car is priceless! That car is similar to what I would go for if I were to build a G body, but with about half of the horsepower! I don't race, I would just want it as something fun to drive. I also really like the new series!
BOTH are so sick. Frank's setup is my favorite. I just love that V8 and trans. Just watching it makes you feel alive. The sound and style is just amazing.

Chevy Citation and Celebrity (pops owned both), Ford Tempo, Nissan Stanza, AMC Kummqwat, Skylark, were great looking cars... Not. I think the 80s had some of the ugliest cars. There was no imagination. Everyone went stale after the gas crisis and played it safe for all the vanilla people.
They got it right back then 💯 not like now when everything is electronic cattle. They can never replace the early to mid 80's G-bodies!🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love this channel and new series. These are both such badass builds. I slightly like the black g body a little more than the grey car. We don’t get to see enough g body cars, so this was a treat. You guys are 🔥.

No difference in opinion here Shawn, they’re both super impressive builds. I absolutely love the fact that the first one has a V6 and is running 1000 horsies and all that feel of original interior, but the 2nd one with the stance, the sound and that killer all around performance, that says everything. Absolutely loved this video!!

I LOVE this new series!! I, also, would've chosen the P2 Fab. The 1st G-body's unexciting exhaust note was a serious downer for me. Great it you want a sleeper but, not for me. If I'm making 1,000 hp, dammit, I want it to sound like I'm making 1,000 hp. Keep up the awesome vids brother.
Exhaust and sequential trans sound sinister. Pulls straight without typical G body shuffle. Turbo T for the win! Safe to say both Buicks truly deserved a second video.

AWESOME SERIES SHAWN!!!! As a 1987 Buick Grand National owner I’m definitely going with #1 GN!!!😎👍🏁 but the 2nd one is Awesome too that SuperCharged LS when he starts it,it sounds like a samurai sword coming out of its holster😬to be honest with you I would love to have both😁BEST OF BOTH WORLDS👍👍

I’m making the same choice, Frankie’s car is f***ing insane ! I’m a Ford fan but the episode of his car may be your best episode to date ( Dave’s 66 fastback is right there with it) I just love how he rips on it and the thing is just a monster ! The other Gbody is sick as well but ya just can’t beat the sound of a supercharged V8 🔥🔥

I love the series, and totally agree with you on your pick. I prefer a car that can not only go straight, but bite into those turns. And it’s just a ferocious monster to boot.

Man, I love this new series! I was in cold sweats trying to decide which 1 to pick, because I just love the old school G body look, feel, & streetable interior. But I had to pick the P2 Fab because of all of the glorious sounds it makes.
You legit looked worried for a minute in that sequential car, dude. It wins for me. New format is cool, as long as the o.g vids are gonna continue. Stay safe man

My parents had a 1980 regal. A friend had a 81. Miss that car. That body style is one of the best. Like that first one better with the V6 turbo. 😎🔥🔥🔥♥♠

As a huge fan of the original Autotopia series of featuring cool ass cars, the new series is a cool new direction. I too would select Frankie G’s t-type. It’s a beast of a car and it’s probably easier to add the creature comforts to that car.

Don’t mind the new series, even tho it’s not new footage, I like how you still took time to give fresh opinion on the cars rather than just do a highlight reel. I’ll stick with 1st g-body 6 cylinder monster only cause it varies the period correct engine.

Traditional G body styling is nice. And then you got the all out Zero fucks given racer. That's what I love about the individuality and creativeness in builds. But hands down for me I love to hear that LS rumble especially with a power adder behind it. Chef's kiss!!!

I tried to buy a 1987 Grand National when I was 21, but $27,000 CDN at that time was too steep. Still my favourite turbo v6 off all time!

Both are badass, and while I love the turbo 6 build, I'd go with Frankie's car just based on how the total package was built and it is more of an all around car vs just straight line. Love the new series, keep it up!

1, Yes I love the new format (enjoy all your videos) and it had me laughing in a few spots with the reactions to the acceleration.
2, I have to go with the Blown V8 for the win - simply because of the exhaust note and absolute rawness and look. But heck the V6 Turbo was only a whisker behind!

The dog ring engagement, 0 fucks given, silver Buick is the most violent ride I've ever seen. I love all the raw metal work in the car and in the engine bay. They are both beast G bodies in their own right.

I'm digging this series. It brings us back to some great cars... and puts two "similar" cars (or trucks) against each other. This is really a hard decision. I love them both for different reasons. But I think I'm going black... simply because he stayed true to the Buick heritage. Everyone is putting an LS into everything. I'm not knocking the LS... it's an awesome engine that you can build a 1,000 ways... and the sound! I'm building a 50 Buick with a 455 in it... so I might be a little biased. Stay safe, buckle up!
I have no idea why g-body fans would dislike the gray T-Type. Ya, the 3800 Series 2 is gone… not by the owner’s choice necessarily… but this build more suits the owner’s usage of the car. Waiting for a turbo to spool while trying to power out of a turn is going to make for slow lap times. In an autoX it may never build boost. Doesn’t make sense to have that engine. Plus, as cool as the black car is, that 3800 makes a sound that’s hard to love.
I think this series is definitely worth adding to & keeping on the channel cause not only does it allow you to geek out on content you've shot but it also gives you a reason to talk about the pros & cons you find within the 2 cars you're deciding to pit against each other. Plus, allowing the viewers to participate in it is equally fun & worth while. I too would pick Frankie's G-Body cause as much as I love the OG velour interior, having the power & necessary track spec upgrades/security makes it both fun & safe.
