Two of my favorite black women got together and gave out the game for almost 2 hours! This one definitely didn't disappoint. One of my favorite parts was about the meditation trip and about the imposter syndrome that we all deal with. The mindset of a person is so important. I also loved the conversation near the end where we talked about starting small. It's possible to start with a small amount and end up with millions. The key is time and consistency. It's good to see someone who's done it!

Ladies!!! This was amazing. My takeaways - I am an older woman without a retirement plan. This gave me the fire to start with what I have and believe that I can grow it by being strategic with how I put that money into action/movement. I deserve to become the woman that I desire to be. Educating and growing myself as a whole, allows me to create wealth and prosperity to my children and their children. Thank you!!!

One of my takeaways was knowing I can start small it doesn’t have to be big. I like when she spoke about the looking out the window at her wall street job when her colleague asked her how she felt. She realized she didn’t belong there. That moved me. I never seem to be able to live the life I want, and I don’t want flashy things or I don’t need high end everything I want want to be able to afford me. So looking out if my life’s window, in that aspect I feel this is not me! I’m in the wrong place. Financially something needs to change but I had no clue how to do that so that the solution keeps giving. Thank you Ashley for the education bkz I was clueless.😊

I can relate to both of you ladies. I just left an engineering job feeling a sense that I didn't belong. I was the only black female in a heavily male dominated field. This was my second engineering job with a similar experience. However, in my first engineering job, I was the only female, and that was really tough. I learned a lot along the way, but I want to start my own business and inspire others as well.

She spoke straight gems today!! 💎 💎💎 Give her some water cause she kept it coming. 😂 I have followed Ashley for some months now but NEVER heard her speak. This was another great episode. Thanks to you both.
My biggest takeaway was when Ashley mentioned the point of constantly taking in information & not doing anything with it. I do that a lot, buy programs & do not use it to my full potential, making myself feel stuck. I joined actionable ceo & do not know where to go next. I have an idea but it’s the getting unstuck part if I explained that right. Lol

Perfect subject matter with two powerful woman of substance. I’m a Marine Corps veteran looking 👀 forward to selling my home 🏡 in Virginia Beach, as I finalize my divorce and purchase another home in Texas. Investing and learning while teaching what I learn would be more like me. I’d love to help women and children who suffer at the hands of abusive men who are stalking them as well. My motivation to leave generational wealth my son who’s truly my blessing. I have a cousin in Mount Vernon who left Wall Street with a bachelor’s degree and returned with his Masters degree and the highest honors from Georgetown University. I always wished he wanted to serve as well. I’m a natural and people gravitate towards me. I genuinely feel empathy and love helping others. I also know that it’s time to help myself more. I’m so proud of both Ashley and Donni and saw similarities instantly. I want to go all in immediately! You two are motivating more people than you may know. Please 🙏🏾 keep up the good work!

GREAT conversation. This is so encouraging - I felt myself in both of your stories!! I've just realized how much money I made or handled for the biggest company in the world. I felt the label, and then it was gone in a second - I learned a lot about how to reprogram and untie my worth to "widgets" produced.
I actually decided to empower ADHD women & other neurodiversity with technology. I don't need to be paid as much as Big Tech paid me. I have value intrinsically & realizing I have some control began to set me free. I was the only black woman in the room often too, and my strengths went unappreciated no matter how many hours I worked or successfully coached teams.. It hurts to prove yourself constantly, witness that privilege, and *not* take it to heart. Perfectionism almost killed my spirit; therapy armed me with clarity, and my tenacity drove my interest to learn more.
love the lifelong learner in the two of you, and am inspired at my new business - year 1 (like at 15:00 I never thought business was for me...but turns out it may be what makes the most sense.)
wow that was longer than I anticipated, but this moved me. thank you for your content - dont stop!

Thank you! This was an awesome interview. Ashley provided great insight on how to begin if you’re serious about growth. I liked that she was open about how she struggled internally and decided to take action on building herself. She did not blame external factors for the stopping points in her life, she worked towards understanding how the system worked then she worked it. Everything is not always black and white but it is always Green. 😉
Ashley is correct about the banks owning the country. The History Channel has a documentary about ‘The men who built this Country’ and it’s teaches a lot about how industries became industries and who owned those industries. The families are still living from the dreams and works of those men. They are the Vanderbilt (Rail Road) Rockefeller ( Oil) Carnegie (Steel) JP Morgan (banking & electricity AC/DC) and JP Morgan eventually gained ownership in all the other industries I mentioned above. I’m a woman of a particular age and I’m still learning. Young people take advantage of what you learn and try it. You will either succeed or fail but you tried and learned. The lessons you learn will push you further. It’s all on you. Donnie, again great interview! 🤗🙏🏾

Such a powerful episode, loaded with gems. 💯 The only sort of "push back" that I have is the part of linking mindset to a bank statement. I don't necessarily disagree with the concept, it's just too linear for me. If I audit the financial department (still general) of my mentality, a segment of that department definitely aligns with the liquidity of my reserves. However, in full spectrum, the growth of my mentality far exceeds any amount of currency that has been captured within a bank. Doesn't matter if I have billions in an account or spread across multiple accounts (more than likely be a fiscally irresponsible scenario). I could be over-analyzing the point and I understand the niche of this podcast, so I get why it was projected that way. I'm just releasing a trigger. lol

Not sure where this bs comes from, but money is privilege. Working hard, saving, investing wisely over time, it can get you a little way to being secure financially. This is not sexy, it's boring, but it works most of the time. These "get rich with attitude" influencers are promoting YOUR money and time into THEIR wallets. There is no silver bullet outside of dumb luck, very high skill, or (most often) being born into wealth. You can count on none of that. The best advice: Save more than you spend. Skill up. Work smart. Don't buy into a "lifestyle" of spending. Of course culturally you need to stop allowing fads and fassion to dictate your spending, you don't need new clothes every few months. Drive less. Work to be out of debt. Focus on retirement as early as you can and keep putting away money.
