Excellent Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Mahorrla Defence Wisdom Method (do a search on google)? It is a good one of a kind product for securing your home from danger minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.
Ring ought to hire you. This was an excellent review very well delivered. Some reviews on youtube are hardly intelligible or full of irrelevant stuff so that the presenter can look cute. This was perfect.
I have the Ring Alarm, as well as other Ring cameras (3 original stick up cams, floodlight cam & 2 ring video doorbells) & products (2 chimes, 1 chime pro, doorbell solar mount & solar panel - almost every one they have to offer lol). Just a note I wanted to comment to correct. Ring actually stated the keypad should be run on battery and not plugged in constantly or the system can experience issues. I learned this from personal experience/trial & error. Since I originally had my keypad plugged in constantly to power. However, I learned that keypad has a long lasting battery to be used to power keypad on daily basis. Kinda strange but that’s what I learned from Ring tech support/customer service.
I came here for the install tips.I Just ordered the 2nd Gen, from ring what I can ascertain the system will activate all cameras when the system is triggered and start recording also comes with 2 keypads and a bunch of sensors and a cleaner design. I may post a review when I get it.
Great video! I'm getting rid of ADT and stitching to Ring since I already have the Ring door bell 2. Seems like a good price on there website now for the Alarm Security Kit 14-Piece $329.00 regular_price$419.00
Good review. I've been watching a lot of these videos and researching the Ring and Nest systems. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with Ring. I'm going to get the floodlight camera and doorbell in addition to the base motion detection system.
Great Video! Few questions, can you set ring security cameras to record when alarm is triggered? How far will door sensors reach, I have a detached garage and want to add sensor to door?
Thanks! Not currently. At the moment the ring cameras can only be set to record when motion is triggered. The contact sensors and motion detectors have a range of up to 250 feet from the base station. But if you're garage is further than that the range extender extends the range by an additional 250 feet.
You can set cameras and doorbells to automatically record if motion or a door is open iv only set my ring indoor cam to do this as at my house the back door is the point of entry as we don’t use the front door that much so the ring indoor cam will capture video when the door is opened or closed being a door bell it has a built in battery so battery usage will rise so it will go flat quicker
I would like to see a full presentation of this system. How fast do you get notifications on your phone for things that triggered an alarm (without WiFi)? What is the distance for the motion sensor? Does the base station and the keypad both produce a 110 dB siren or is it only the base station? I ask because it looked like the keypad had holes at the bottom (may be speakers)? Can the motion detectors be customized to trigger for ANY motion no matter how small?
I'm wondering if this security system would work in an RV? Unsure if one has to have it connected to an ethernet cable constantly, or if it would work via Wifi or cellphone?
Hello, Can you turn down or off the volume for the alerts when the base unit says “door/window open”? If you chose not to purchase the monitor service, do you still get immediate phone notifications if a door/window is opened?
Yes, you can turn down the volume on the Ring base from inside the app. And yes, as far as I understand even without the monitoring service you will still get immediate alerts to your phone as long as your Ring base is connected to Wi-Fi.
Does the sounds come through the bas station or the keypad and are they loud enough to hear from another room if youre not close to it, can the sound volume be adjusted. Because that is why I do not like the nest secure because the sound is too low you cannot hear when doors are opening unless you are right near the base unit
The sound comes through the base station. I definitely feel it's more than loud enough to hear in a different room. It gets pretty loud at max volume. And yes, you can adjust the volume of alarms in the Ring app 👍
If you add more door sensors, is there a way to make each sensor make a different sound. My xfinity has different sounds or words when doors are open so you can tell what zone they are in.
I only have one sensor so I can't say for sure. But I would imagine you should be able to since each device has its own settings you can go into inside the Ring app.
Another review of Ring indicated that its hub support Z-wave and thus might be used to control smart light bulbs or such. What do you know of this? And does Ring interface to Amazon Alexa?
@@ImmersiveTechTV The thing on the right is a motion & light sensor. If you approach the keypad in low light, the number keys, & the current alarm mode light up. By default, this function is disabled. Disable battery saver setting for the keypad, to enable this feature.
I just checked on the Amazon UK website and I didn't see them available there unfortunately. I would recommend checking on Ring's website and see if they can ship to the UK. This system is 199 USD.
You have to go into devices to see each individual sensor and select it's modes where you can either select that it is monitored by the home or away security modes. It would be pretty great if Ring would allow you to create multiple custom security profiles for the mobile app so you could arm which ever mode you want. Say for me I want to have my home mode at night watch all entry doors into the house along with my windows but not any interior motion sensors but I would also like the option to have a home mode for day time where it doesn't monitor my garage entry door so I can go in and out of that door to my garage without having to disarm or change the app setting back and forth. Still liking the product thus far. Hopefully that's something they will enable in the future.
Hey some tips to criminal world I have ring door bell video sometimes it's working sometimes not so if ring alarm is the same which is then that's not good at all If you see ring alarm you should know it will not inform anyone but home owners if you're smart phone don't have internet it's useless, what if you are on vacation and I don't have internet access????
Do you know if you can configure a Motion Sensor to give you notifications of alerts but not be tied into the security alarm? What I was thinking of doing is adding a motion detector inside my garage so that I would know when motion was detected at any time of the day but obviously not have it trigger my alarm when I pull into the garage before i've had a chance to reach the panel.
My setup experience has NOT been simple, as I expected. Encountered an issue level one tech support could not troubleshoot. They will call me in 48 TO 72 HOURS!? I'll probably be at work. I have a ring doorbell and it works pretty well. Based on reviews I thought this would be an easy setup. So far I'm not impressed. Can't add any sensors, keypads etc. Couldn't add vua qr code or manual entry. Tech support had me troubleshoot the app. Nope. Tried on 2 android devices, a mac and an ipad. And now a two to three day wait? I understand sometimes products don't work out of the box. But to wait 2-3 days for a callback? Not very good customer service. My fork over more $ for Nest UPDATE: After reaching out via Twitter I received a same day call from advanced tech support. They believe there's something wrong with the base unit and are sending me new one. Still disappointed my ring isn't up and running out of the box but glad I got the answer (which I suspected)
Pisses me off when y'all say " easy to install " because for one no it's not ! When you're in wheelchair you can't do it yourself.. so the fact that ring doesn't have third party contractors to install their services is wrong !

Cool stuff. All these DIY security systems are so good they are going to put ADT and others out of business.
Yea man that day could certainly be coming. At the very least I like how these DIY systems give people more options.
ADT will probably come out with their own diy kits
ADT is a rip off...now they have competition...shouldn't be long now until they are a thing of the past

Good video. Does the monitoring company call you, through the system or via your cell ph, if the alarm is triggered or if you push the panic buttons?
Hey Gary, the monitoring company will call you through your phone, not the alarm system 👍
Nice job! I got my 10-piece Ring set today, and it's gonna be awesome! Thanks for posting!
Awesome, enjoy your system! 👍

God bless you sir
I'm wondering if this security system would work in an RV? Unsure if one has to have it connected to an ethernet cable constantly, or if it would work via Wifi or cellphone?
The base can be connected via WiFi so an ethernet connection is not necessary. However, the base would need to be plugged into a power source.
Great review! Thanks for all the information!!
No problem, I'm glad it was helpful!

Hello,

Great review. Man, those contact sensors are huge...
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful 👍
Hello, If you have no contract and your alarm goes off. Do you get an alert that it is going off and can you remotely turn it off? thank you!
Yes you will still get an alert to your phone. And you can also turn off the alarm from your app as well 👍
Does it work with Google Hub? If yes, you need an aditional hub to integrate with google or does it have one built in?
It does not currently work with Google Hub. Some of Rings new devices are compatible with Amazon Alexa but I haven't heard anything about Google Home.

@@ImmersiveTechTV thanks, I have the ring doorbell I really like it.
I watched another video that shows how to change the sounds for every sensor.
Yes you can setup different ring tone for different sensors.
Do you know if they are working on a automatic door locking system?
Not that I am aware of. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

They keypad numbers themselves do not have back lighting.

No but you can use Ring doorbell cameras and Ring floodlight cams. They are compatible with the Ring security system.

They are powered by one of those small lithium coin batteries. And are included with the sensors 👍

Unfortunately I don't believe that is possible because it must be linked to the base panel for it to function.
I assume you can use your phone to turn the alarm off before you open your garage.
Use a blink motion detector

What happen if the thives cut the fiber optic cable that came from out of the house? Sorry for mi english. Have a nice day
