- With the initial excitement of a new project quickly escaping, Dave and Adam try to get the little Honda running, but there are problems, and it soon starts costing more money! So Adam has to Break Open Another Thousand
This is an absolute gem of a YT channel. Thanks Dave!
I do like grabbing a tea and watching a new vid on this channel. May see you at the IoM Dave!?
Another grid video, try Graeme France, for nc35 parts, does replacement carb rubbers, and some short intake trumpets.
We have him on speed dial already 😁
Great video but unfortunately now I'm to have to see if I can buy a RVF
Entertaining as usual Dave
Would refit the alu carb tray to the carbs holds all 4 bodies in alignment before refitting the carbs to bike otherwise will be a pig to seat properly new genuine rubbers take the pain out of refitting also. great watch 👍
The float valves almost never wear - you really want to polish the float seats with a QTip & some polish.
Another great video love those little V4s always punched above their weight and a lovely sound as well hearing a batch of these in the SS 400 class awesome 😉
NRP are the place to get spare parts for the carbs. I currently have 3 of these RVF's
It doesn't take that long for the battery to go flat :)
Just in case you didn't know, the emulson tubes are different front and back (I can't remember if its the number of holes or the spacing of the holes or both - I also can't remember which way round they go ....)
good stuff gentlemen, enjoying this one!! cheers.
Rvf400’s & vfr400’s have got a shocking price now, I only wish when you could have imported them for buttons in the late 90’s I’d have got a few more of them and locked them away for 20 years 😭 lol
My goodness, a pair of funny blokes! Forgetting to open the petcock of the fuel canister! I can imagine this happening on the race bike too! Is it worth removing the 2 broken fuel control screws? Just in case they’re set incorrectly? Cash is king for this bike!😉
Hahaha u focker setting your bike on fire ......also gets very expensive lol lol 😂 proper had me tickled lol
You know burning brake cleaner makes phosgene gas right? As in WW1 poison gas? 😬
I know that now 😱
A few weeks with a dry ice blaster, then send the fasteners off for zinc plating and a bit of Cerocote on the covers, subframe etc and this would be mint 👍
This needs about 5 thousand spent on o
It to be mint !
@@Bow-to-the-absurd so? Do it over time. These RVF’s and NC30’s are worth it. Classics that will go up in value… plus when has money stopped is form our passion on bikes and modifications etc?
whew! I'm glad I went with a fuel injected SP-2 for my collectable bike but I will own one of these little 400's one day (unless Boris n Biden completely wreck our economies) even if I can only sit and stare at her when gasoline hits £20 gallon. I did just learn some good stuff on carburetors though so thank you Dave for that! cheers.
