I always look forward to you showcasing Dr. Armitage's garden. So much diversity, interest and reasoning behind it all!
Dr. A is always fun to watch and listen to.
I listen to these Dr A videos when I begin to take gardening too seriously 😊
I needed to read this. Thanks, such a great reminder!😊
Dr. Armitage is so right about gardening! There's always something to look forward to.
Doctor Armitage is such a delight. He is a wonderful happy person. I enjoy very much when you go to visit him. Thank you for taking us along on this video it was wonderful.❤❤
I could listen to Dr. Armitage for hours!Love his garden advice and stories.
“I have no idea what I’m doing”. 😆 Dr. Armitage is a hoot! What an awesome neighbor he’d be. For laughs, garden knowledge and perhaps some plant sharing. ;)
Dr. Armitage: I don’t wanna bore you with all these plants.

Dr Armitrage is a national treasure!

Dr. Armitage explains my raison d’etre for gardening: something to always look forward to. Always a treat to see his garden!
I always look forward to seeing/hearing Dr. A. He not only educates, inspires but makes me laugh. He enjoys life!!
Dr A!!!!!!! It surely stands for awesome 😊
I just love Dr Armitage! He should have his own gardening YT channel. He is a national treasure and a true horticultural legend.
Dr. A!
A little enthusiasm... I like how Dr.A and Dr. Dirr have such similar enthusiasm about their different families of plants. No wonder a few generations of gardeners so respect their opinions....myself included
❤hello everyone, hello Jim Putnam and DR Allan Armitage. So nice to see 2 super stars together. I always learn a lot from both of you. Fun and fun with Jim putnam and DR. Allan Armitage. Yeeeee. 😊😊❤
I completely agree! I found myself smiling during the whole video! So much fun with those two.
“I’m not gonna be around long enough for it to grow”. Oh yes!
Just love Dr A!!!! Thanks Jim &steph
Not only do the squirrels take out any vegetables, in my zone they are busy burying their winter stash and are digging up all my newly planted plants whether they be in pots or in the soil! Thank you for a very great informative and fun tour! ❤🌸🇨🇦
He is so right. “We always have something to look forward too”. 🙏🏽🤸🏾♀️💪🏽
I love his enthusiasm
What a delightful man! Thank you!
Thank you for another tour at Dr. Armitage garden 👍🙏😊❤️

Dr. A is just great. I love his knowledge and enthusiasm!
“…we always have something to look forward to.” - the secret to a long life well-lived
That was super enjoyable!!! Could listen to that chatter for hours - thank you
Thank you as I am a big fan of Dr A. Love hearing his stories about plants. Had to call hubby in to see how he was dealing with squirrels as we have this trouble also. Will definitely check out your other video's with Dr A
so glad to see someone with an apple in a pot! I will be doing so next year!
He’s great, easy going and very happy.
This guy seems so fun
Thank you all for this video! Dr A. Is so enjoyable to watch. 😍
I'm 100% here for the story of coleus!!
Same!
I love Dr. A’s attitude about coleus, I love them too! Every year they put on a stunning display, never let me down!
Purchased that book & enjoyed reading it. Very informative & good sense of humor..good seeing you again Dr. Armitage 😊
Dr A is always so fun and interesting! Thank you all.
Wonderful visit! Dr. Armitage is so down to earth (as are all gardeners) I could relate with so many things he said. Love the enthusiasm. I feel that way to, as the days fade to fall, I still get joy walking out in the garden each day to see what's happening. Gardening and wine...the best!
He's charming and fun!
What a lovely man. Beautiful garden. Thanks Jim and Stephanie!
Always like these interviews. Can tell you enjoy interviews with him❤
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you and Steph.
Good morning! This is so cool thank you Dr. Armitage & Jim Putnam🙏🏻🫶🏻🙌🏻💘
Very enjoyable video! Thanks Jim and Steph!!
How enjoyable!😎✌🏻
Our alstromeria didn't survive the December blast in East TN zone 7 but she was a beauty!
Love listening to Dr. A.. beautiful Peruvian Lily
He’s the best! 😂❤
Love Dr Armitage. And his garden. ❤️
Dr Armitage…I do live in Wisconsin & the Asters you pointed out are a perennial here as I have seen them growing wild in the ditches. I don’t have any in my garden… but should grab some out of the ditches to plant at home. Thanks for the lovely tour. Mine zone is 5a.
He is so correct! There is always something to look forward to. I recently started following your channel. I love Jenny and I watched you on her channel. I'm now hooked on your channel.
Dr Armitage you really inspire with your attitude of gardening. The squirrels destroyed part of my house, car and garden last year. I love how you figured out a way to protect your tomatoes. Im a bit traumatized after last year and every time I see one I tense up lol
I always love to see your videos and I’m on my way to get your book. I’ve always wondered why these common names were so funny. I should have known that you would know! lol I wish you and your family well. The garden is looking beautiful as always.
A friend of mine asked me yesterday if I was sad that the garden season was winding down. I said not really since I’m looking forward to next year!!
What a great garden tour ! Enjoyed Dr Armitage 😊
This man is my hero! I couldn't stop laughing. 😂
This is all new to me but I'm excited to explore, Athens Georgia, I remember a show, I think it was on HGTV with this wonderful woman highlighting different garden spaces in the area.
What a delightful guy 😊
What a hoot!!!
Awesome tour and talk! Thank you all so much!! 😊👍 Also, I just purchased your new book! I love learning fun information like that!
Great as always.
As always I love listening to Dr. Armitage....and Jim too! That's a given! Try sprinkling milorganite around to keep the deer away. It has worked well for me this year!
I see Dr. A on your channel and I just hit play, always a treat!
Great video, great statement about gardening!
The longest blooming perennial I've got is an Asteromia previously Kalimeris. Hard to find anymore, it's not flashy but it's steady. I wish there was more variety in the industry, seems growers aren't willing to try anything different. I'm working with the High school agriculture teacher in Dawson county on some adult education classes in their new building. Just had our first class on perennials but it's hard to just talk about one type of plants! Mixed plantings are just more fun 😊
Thanks Dr A, Jim & Steph
Btw, my native tall Phlox is reblooming this week just as the Calico Aster & perennial Mums are kicking off. I've got a "too steep to mow" bank at the dirt road. Between moving stuff & spreading seeds, it's really looking good in 3 years. Every type of Aster & plenty of DYCs (damn yellow composites) , the thin leaf Sunflower are just glorious even after some early season pruning by the deer. Got a big rambunctious difficult area? See what grows without help! Grow natives!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr I have squirrels 🐿 doing the same thing!!!!!!! I definitely need to get some of those lil bags!!!
I have watch your video's for Dr A with his famous hat! Thank you!
Love your videos w him. So funny and knowledgeable. Ordered the book!!!!
Dr Armitage emailed me and asked how I wanted the book signed! That is so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@anitahouse3600 That's really cool. Thanks for adding the comment!
Lovely video! Thanks.
My fall asters bloomed in summer. I was really hoping they would start taking off as the echinacea begin fading. Oh well, they were beautiful while they lasted. I do have some of that purple celosia. This is the second year I planted some of those in September. They are nice fall annuals along side orangeish coleus.
Great video!
Yep famous last words…22:01 Naked Ladies, something to look forward to.🤣
16:40 which perrenial chrysanthemum? Brandywine? October Glory?

Jim!! PLEASE let your guests talk!! You don’t have to say “yeah, yeah” or anything for that matter, all the time!!
