You are an excellent teacher. BTW for folded model making, have you trid Pepakura Designer? Gives you the ability to edit the layout with the glue tabs and all kinds of aids. Keep up the nice work!
take a section of a sphere, four a cnr, easy to develop on paper, just take your cnr, contour it, note radius, edges and lengths, make an arc same as r, then put length on that arc buy making paper pattern
How do you get the surfaces to unroll in that circle format? My unroll function keeps on unrolling in a straight line? And I'm not 100% sure the pieces are in the correct order. (I have Rhino 5)

That is a good video, but I think smesh will accomplish same thing as unroll for doubly curved surfaces.
