Easy & Wireless: Setup 'Scan-IT to Office' as Mobile

tec-it.com - This video series shows how you can use the Scan-IT to Office app to save remotely captured data directly in databases on your PC or server. The solution is straightforward to configure, works wireless, in real-time and supports all types of remotely collected data (barcodes, QR/2D codes, NFC tags, geo-locations, photos, sketches, signatures, text in images, manual inputs, timestamps, ...).

To benefit from this solution, you need
➡️ the "Scan-IT to Office" app for your smartphone
➡️ and the "Smart Database Connector" software for Microsoft Windows.
✴️ I N S T A L L A T I O N
Install the Scan-IT to Office app for Android or iOS on your mobile device and the receiving software Smart Database Connector on a PC or server connected to the Internet. The Smart Database Connector saves the data recorded with the app immediately into on-premise databases of your choice. The installer is available for download on TEC-IT's website.
Once installed, manage the Smart Database Connector in the browser. The address is usually localhost:33333 (or 33334, 33335 - depending on available ports during installation).
On the panel to the right, you see some pre-configured databases. In this video, we use the Demo Database (Microsoft Access). It is suitable to store barcodes or QR codes scanned with the default scanner view of the app.
✴️ O P E R A T I O N
To showcase the functionality, pair the app with the database by scanning the QR code presented by the Smart Database Connector. Whenever you scan a barcode with the app, the data is transmitted via cloud services to the Smart Database Connector, saving the data in the Microsoft Access database using the configured SQL statement.
✴️ S E C U R I T Y
➡️ Your data is safe. Collected data is end-to-end encrypted before sending it over the Internet. Even TEC-IT, as the developer of the solution, is not able to decrypt the transmitted information.
➡️ The Smart Database Connector runs as a system service in the background of your PC. Data collection works even without a logged-on user.
✴️ C U S T O M I Z A B L E
The Scan-IT to Office solution supports the configuration and use of arbitrary databases and tables. The Smart Database Connector can connect to any ODBC-compatible database like Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MySQL, ORACLE or even Microsoft Excel tables.
To use a custom database, create an ODBC System data source (for 32 bit!) on operating system level. Invoke the ODBC data source admin tool by searching for ODBC Data Sources in Windows Search or start the 32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator manually using the command %windir%\syswow64\odbcad32.exe (administrator rights required).

I have some question, Can I scan multiple QR-code on 1 Barcode Field?
Because I have more QR-code to scan in 1 time but that send same information. (field of Date,Time, machine name , Product)
If I read 1 by 1, it's very waste time.

Hi. Thank you for your comment!
It is currently not possible to read several barcodes in the same field. If you want to read multiple barcodes you will have to add a field for each code in your form. Scanning multiple barcodes is fast, just one touch will scan each barcode.
An alternative would be to encode all the data into a single QR code using a field separator.

How to share my custom form to another user mobile?

To share your custom form with another user's mobile device, follow these steps:
1.Open the Form:
- Open the app and go to the form you want to share.
- Click the pen icon to access the editing options.
2.Share the Form:
- Depending on your operating system, the exact process may vary slightly. However, there should be a share option
available.
- Select the method you want to use to send the form (e.g., via email, messaging app, cloud storage).
3.Open the Form on the Other Device:
- Once the other user receives the file, they need to open it on their device.
- When prompted, select Scan It to Office to open the file and import the custom form.
