For those that want to stain any wood board and still use it for food, a paste-like consistency of instant coffee and water, makes a safe stain (& keeps spiders away). I added instant coffee to paint for a room in my house and didn't see a spider in there for a dozen years. : ) A happy surprise.
Holy crap. You're a total genious! These are makeovers most of us wouldn't even know where to start with. I am amazed by your thrifty and talented brain.
This is an absolute gem for budget-conscious decorators. The creative ideas and step-by-step instructions make it easy to achieve a luxurious look for less, while the presenter's enthusiasm keeps you engaged throughout. A must-watch for anyone looking to elevate their home's aesthetic on a dime!
You are enormously talented and bring DIYs to a whole new level. Nothing that you do or suggest looks like “loving hands at home:”. Thank you for sharing your stunning creations, they certainly inspire and enable.
👌These are excellent examples of thrift store item restyling. Too many UA-camrs are stuck on spray painting mason jars and gluing plastic plants to cheap wall fans. Your items are actually beautiful, classy, and current!
I have a lamp like that floor lamp….it took a wire base with a big white globe that rested on it….they always break so that is why the globes are very scarce….good luck …..I turned mine into a coat rack because it was so nice and sturdy….think about it…just add three big metal hooks with a round piece of wood in the middle to add hats on….hugs carolyn from Columbus Ga
Right? I have NEVER seen anything, no matter what the item was, for a couple of dollars let alone fifty cents. The thrift stores near me (Salvation Army and Goodwill) are almost as expensive as buying new. CRAZY!
I ❤ your channel. You are so clever. I definitely look at things differently. I live in the SFO Bay Area, and our thrift store prices are outrageous, but I try to have a coupon. I appreciate you giving the names of all the paint and glue ❤❤❤❤
I know I'm late to the party, but I just discovered your channel yesterday, and I couldn't stop watching! Almost everything you found thrifted was a project I would love to do, and I don't even like crafts! Thank you for the inspiration! 😊
The ONLY thing I don’t love about your channel is that you don’t put out a new video EVERYDAY! I never tire of watching the clever, beautiful ideas you creat. Bravo!
I'm amazed at some of these channels like yours who have such wonderful thrift stores. Here in New iberia, la...there isn't crap!😢 you make me want to do much more traveling for good thrift stores. I absolutely love your channel by the way...its one of my favorites!!!😊
You are such an inspiration, love everything you duped. For someone who doesn't have any of the high end stores around, it's great to have someone show us what's out there, and how we can achieve the look.
GIRL! My gosh that desk was SO impressive! I love your hardware choice. The thing that thrills me even more is that it's MADE WELL... You will never in a million years find anything made for under a couple of thousand dollars that's made well at this point, and even then (as in the case with McGee & co) the quality will never match up to something made pre 1999. It's right around that time, when internet became so powerful & mass production went into full swing; that everything became crappy despite price tag. Nothing I love to see more than someone doing a better job at the McGee & Co aesthetic & not giving those people your money. For what they charge, you'd think they'd have the conscious to make quality product, but if you look at the reviews (not on their website obviously) there's nothing but disappointed customers who cannot believe what they received vs the price tag. I feel almost guilty saying such negative things about a company, but considering their popularity; the least one should expect is a quality build. Great video, totally inspiring!
Awesome projects! FYI the "cutting board" around the 16:30 mark is actually a pizza peel. The tapered edge allows you to slide pizzas into the oven. 👍🏻
It's a total lifesaver for those of us craving a stylish home on a budget. The dupes are seriously impressive - who knew thrifted finds could look so expensive? It's like a treasure trove of affordable decor ideas that finally make luxe home styling accessible to us regular folks!
First time viewer and I love your style, your vision, and your ability to find these thrifted items! I only wish I had thrift stores in my area that had prices like yours!
On the laundry basket you may be able to help secure the wheels with zip ties. On the stained lid, instead of remaking the whole cover, find an acceptable fabric, either a match or a print or solid in colors that you like or maybe a ticking fabric, and cover over the stained part and put a matching strip on the opposite side to make it appear like it is intentional.
I just happened to run upon your channel tonight and let’s just say I am BLOWN AWAY by ALL your dupes! I LOVE each and every one of them!! They all were so great that I couldn’t choose one over the others. Thank you SO much for sharing your techniques!
Wow Wow and WOW! You are my favourite DIYer ever! I want to make everything you have made. You are so inspiring and I am so grateful being on a budget that I can have some new things at a fraction of the price!
I started with you exactly a year ago. I didn't know this was a series I thought this is what you do. And you do it better then anyone on you tube Your vision is spot on with the inspo. Please keep doing this type of videos. Even though it's not my decor style bc I suck at finding a theme I love. I guess I love every style. But your home is gorg
This is the best thrifting/DIY video I've ever watched. Everything is beautiful and elegant. I just found you, I'm a forever follower now. Thank you for sharing
Hi Fia, love the compilation. I’m amazed at the pricing that you find. The olive and autumn wreaths are my fav. However that vintage desk… 6 hrs of sanding well done. Stunning finish piece $$$.
🎉to refresh po pouri put it into a zip lock bag add 6 drops of your favourite essential oils close and shake leave in bag for a day or two then put where you want . Keep the open bag in a drawer of sheets/ clothes then re use for refreshing your po p again 😊
It's difficult to choose a favorite. All your ideas and projects are just gorgeous! I will now have a different perspective when I go to a thrift store. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
I bought a five compartment laundry hamper. I used the fabric with French words on it and sewed it myself. It looks perfect in my laundry room and everything is already sorted for me on laundry day. It’s all done with things from my travels. All done in gold burgundy and black. It looks stunning.
Hi Fia, this is my first video on your channel & I can’t wait to see more in the series. You have a great eye for thrifting for dupes & the creativity to make high end looking pieces. Loved so many items but especially the first vase, the vintage desk and the wreaths. You’re phenomenal!
The purple vase that was painted white was just stunning. The bells were fantastic. I also love how you did the round tray with the white over the existing silver.
I start on Friday and Saturday looking forward to your Sunday video!! Thank you for the time you put into every video you create!! You always start my week off on a good note ❤️
This video is a lifesaver for those of us on a budget. The host's innovative ideas and step-by-step instructions make it seem like anyone can have a luxurious-looking home without spending a fortune. It's a must-watch for anyone looking to transform their space into a stylish haven without breaking the bank.
This video just popped up in my feed, Fia, and I'm over the moon in love with your projects! I've always been a bit apprehensive about DIY projects but you've inspired me to give a few a try. I wish my area thrift stores had more interesting pieces but I know I have a few things in my home that I can rework. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. You have a new loyal subscriber. Now excuse me while I binge watch your videos. 😂 XXOO ❤
W0W your Thrift Stores sure have some of the best prices I've ever heard of. Congratulations! Every item you transformed I loved. (except for the Pumpkin)
I loved your pumpkin pillow dupe, but I'm sorry to say, I was in Dollar Tree today and they had one pretty much the same in the new $3, $5 area. It's $5. Bad news for the high end version. Yous was great, and a good way of repurposing old clothing.
I can Never choose a "favorite" from your makeovers. NEVER! You work magic. Plus, your thrift stores are Way cheaper, and better stuff is available! Just a tip: capiz is pronounced cu - peez' Accent is on the second syllable which has a line e sound. ❤️❤️❤️
I loved this compilation video! The white basket that looks like a treasure chest is my favorite. Adding the gold knob really makes it look high end, and I love that you can put stuff inside to hide the clutter. Thanks for sharing! 😊
My sister told me about your UA-cam channel, I love to decorate and your ideas are such an inspiration!! I have got so many inspirations for. My hubby and I were going to open a little store but recently he passed away. I still am working towards my dream, thank you for your beautiful videos.
0:49 hi fia. Every week I look forward to your channel. Your videos give me so much inspiration. Your all I talk about to my family. Every decor I do. In my home is because of you. I thought years ago I knew how to decorate. Or when I go into a thrift store what to look for. What I need. But you made me realize and see all the treasures I can find and flip them and save money. I love your creations. To our are a fantastic person. Thank you for helping me turn my house beautiful. Keep doing your video thrift. .
I would always spray it or soak it in bug killer before bringing in my home. And encase it in Rubbermaid bins in my car sprayed with bug killer and shut the lids!!

This was the first video I watched of yours. I’m hooked for sure. I’m a carpenter’s daughter and I’ve always helped build houses with my dad and done diy projects. I love thrifting. I’m in the process of moving to a small 1br home and I’m changing my design style completely. I’ll be purging a lifetime of junk and this is my chance to organize everything. I live on a fixed income and your videos are amazing especially for someone in my situation!! Thanks so much!!😊
HI, NICE JOB! Thanks for sharing. Not sure if already mentioned, but using clear or white zip ties to secure the wheels to the bottom of your wicker laundry hamper could help secure it. :) Thanks for your cool ideas! ❤
I recently began watching your diy high-end thrifting makeover videos. I'm loving your creative ideas and how you show the actual inspirations and makeover processes. You have inspired me to look at items I own as well as what I see thrifting in a whole new way. I'm looking forward to many more videos and inspirations. Thank you!
Oh my God, I'm in UK and just found you accidentally whilst look for paint colour ideas. Solo mother so always on miniscule budget, and love recycling/repurposing - I adore you!
I found doing middles first corners last worked for me. But looks like yours turned out fine upholstered chair. The moss bowl would look better if you could put on river rock to get the mound look
I love thrifting & I've passed this hobby to my teen ! She used to feel self conscious but now when I point out I paid $2 for a brand name jeans which you'd pay $80 for in retail stores she's so proud ! She tells all her friends we saved $78 🤣 and they still had the original price tags so their brand new! Their green with envy! I've always rescued vintage furniture as their so sturdy & the wear & tear speaks of its history to me. Who knew they'd all come back in style! 💚
I'm super jealous of the thrift store finds in your area!!! That #3 crock is one of my favorite things - all the sizes of the crocks. These are some amazing makeovers.
Omgoodness. This young is so talented and aside from her phenomenal creativity ITS HER PATIENCE for me. The time and energy it takes to do some of these projects is insane. REALLY NICE WORK. Im way too inpatient and Antsy 😂😂to do sit and do some of these beautiful projects. ❤❤
Hola! I have been learning so much from your channel, on a recent visit to my sister’s house in another state , we went thrifting with your tips on mind, we found so many gems , she was so happy!!! God bless you and ❤❤❤❤
that very heavy lampstand the tall one, when you see those little holes around it that's where screws go in with flat bottom on it and that means that it had a glass dome type shade. you can usually find something like that at Home Depot or Lowe's but any antique shop and Goodwill and thrift shops you'll find the glass dome. The glass dome that goes on top can either be clear or frosted or semi-translucent just depends upon the design you're looking for. You do excellent work, well done.
My favorite diy was the white & gold lazy Susan. It turned out beautiful. Honestly I liked your diy version better than the exspensive name brand items. You done an amazing job. ❤❤❤❤
Talented and...lucky. Finding the items at the Goodwill which are SOOOO similar to the Pottery barn versions. How many Goodwills do you need to visit to find them. You must have a few insiders there to put out just what you are looking for - right as you walk in the door. Lol. No way, I am not that lucky, or maybe i just don't visit them enough?
Hi Blue-ridge… Wifey sure has your channel making it a nice change. The perfect change in fact. What a delight to see a couple that’s happy. You have a spark and your whole being shows it. Funny how y’all’s smile goes along ways!!!! And just wanna say thanks for sharing your knowledge and giving us your time. Thank you Mrs Blue for being patient in sharing his time to us. Thank gosh you finally caught coin fever…. Wish I could’ve made the Tulsa show to meet y’all. I had to come back home to Oklahoma City Friday morning. Due to Covid. Have a blessed evening and see ya on next video.
Whoa!!! I Am so amazed about everything you find , transform and style ! Just amazing ! Where is your favorite place to thrift? I am in the same location as you I think . Please keep sharing your finds and ideas !!! I don’t think I have a favorite … everything was just awesome

You are enormously talented and bring DIYs to a whole new level. Nothing that you do or suggest looks like “loving hands at home:”. Thank you for sharing your stunning creations, they certainly inspire and enable.
I couldn't agree more.. I always wait for her videos!
Your Olive Wreath looked better than the expensive one!! 😊
The first piece was and still is my favorite. It looks so high end with just a few touches. Mortar mix, who knew??
👌These are excellent examples of thrift store item restyling.
Too many UA-camrs are stuck on spray painting mason jars and gluing plastic plants to cheap wall fans. Your items are actually beautiful, classy, and current!
Glad to see you used the fresh eucalyptus! Fresh beats fake- every day!!!
i have to say the lazy susan tray with the gold handles is STUNNING. i am blown away ,
I am so shook by this woman. You have a gift.
The vase with the lamp shade and puck light is the most clever thing ever…great job. ❤😊
Yes please continue the series. I love all of the items you presented but the big desk you took back to the natural wood color is my favorite. ❤
This is the best DIY PRESENTATION UA-cam. Thank you now that I’m retired I could use these smart decorating ideas
Wow so jealous of your thrift store prices and selections. Everything turned out great!

Thanks so much 😊

Thank you for telling her its a pizza peel and not a cutting board. That was driving me nutz.

Wow Sophia ! Not everyone has your creativity & talent referring to me to take a vase & turn it into a gorgeous high end piece !!

I usually don’t watch long videos but I enjoyed every minute of this one!
I love that heavy floor lamp, but you are always able to do amazing dupes. This gives such great inspiration!
Hi Fia, love the compilation. I’m amazed at the pricing that you find. The olive and autumn wreaths are my fav. However that vintage desk… 6 hrs of sanding well done. Stunning finish piece $$$.
Floor lamp is stunning!
So clever to belt the pillow on top of the cedar chest. I’d never thought of that.

These were so amazing. I usually don't like thrift hauls, but the execution on these looks was so great. Thanks.
The purple vase that was painted white was just stunning. The bells were fantastic. I also love how you did the round tray with the white over the existing silver.
Thank you for including the Inspo so we can see the cost at retail and how you saved a lot by giving new life to your thrift finds! Great job!

She is amazing 👏 for sure
New subbie! LOVED EVERYTHING!!

It's a must-watch for anyone looking to transform their space into a stylish haven without breaking the bank.
Your fabric pumpkin looks better than the high end store one. You do an amazing job getting a very similar look to the high priced items.
Your pumpkin looked great but stealing the tail from one of your kids' stuffed animals for the stem?! 😢
This video just popped up in my feed, Fia, and I'm over the moon in love with your projects! I've always been a bit apprehensive about DIY projects but you've inspired me to give a few a try. Words of caution: Just be careful bringing bed bugs home from thrifting! 😬 Everything turned out beautiful and amazing as always! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That is always my fear
I would always spray it or soak it in bug killer before bringing in my home. And encase it in Rubbermaid bins in my car sprayed with bug killer and shut the lids!!
Diatomaceous Earth kills bed bugs without any chemicals harsh to animals or humans. Keeps spiders away as well. Make sure it is food grade. You can find it in any nursery store for a better price than online.
Keep stuff in your garage or balcony for a few days to "air out"
@@vickigonya9432 I wouldn’t buy anything that I thought was so funky I would need to soak it in bug killer Where are you shopping?
Removing tough stains I use Lestoil. Pour it on the fabric let it soak for 10 min then wash on regular cycle.
You are so smart and imaginative. Sharp girl you are!! Keep it going, can’t wait!!!!
Nice video of great looking finds! Loved the tall floor candlabras and the first vase you painted.
I pretty much fan, girl you😂! Our styles are very similar and I truly ❤Goodwill bins and saving a dime.
Thats my motto!!!
This was the first video I watched of yours. I’m hooked for sure. I’m a carpenter’s daughter and I’ve always helped build houses with my dad and done diy projects. I love thrifting. The BEST DIY video EVER.....
HI, NICE JOB! Thanks for sharing. Not sure if already mentioned, but using clear or white zip ties to secure the wheels to the bottom of your wicker laundry hamper could help secure it. :) Thanks for your cool ideas! ❤

My favorite diy was the desk with the modern cabinet pulls ❤
Everything was so beautiful, I will be trying some of your ideas on things I already have, thank you!!!!
I found doing middles first corners last worked for me. But looks like yours turned out fine upholstered chair.
The moss bowl would look better if you could put on river rock to get the mound look
I so love your style of Decor, Designs and Decor thanks you.
You've done extremely well for yourself! Nothing looks like a diy And your video is interesting.
OMG, your thrift stores are the best!!! 💯 We never have prices so low or such nice quality of items, all of your DIYs are AMAZING!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Genius, ive never thought of spray painting DT flowers.
Please continue!! We're building a home and I need all the snazzy budget ideas I can get.
For your laundry cart lid, you can spray paint with the same colour you painted the frame❤️✨
You certainly have an eye for these things. Fabulous budget options and a great video overall. Thanks for sharing!

The floor candelabra is stunning
You are ingenious, Fia! Thank you for sharing your expertise and elegant aesthetic. God bless you and your family.
that very heavy lampstand the tall one, when you see those little holes around it that's where screws go in with flat bottom on it and that means that it had a glass dome type shade.
you can usually find something like that at Home Depot or Lowe's but any antique shop and Goodwill and thrift shops you'll find the glass dome.

You must have a few insiders there to put out just what you are looking for - right as you walk in the door. Lol. No way, I am not that lucky, or maybe i just don't visit them enough?
You are a brilliant creative tour du force! Netflix should come knocking!!!! You are genius.
All amazing... sometimes I like the DIY better. !!!
Hi from Sydney, you could maybe tea stain, or proper fabric stain the laundry basket liner to disguise the stain.
