I’m a coming Jazzy! Have been loving the Horizon Zero Dawn content and I’m like 5 games behind on Yakuza but it’s so amazing I’m determined to watch it all 🥰 Will hopefully bring the nicest comments with me
5 stars. Service was... interesting-- I've never been so aggressively danced at by the staff before. Food was delicious, but I'm not sure if they've ever seen a ham before. Will return.
As a non-premium commenter, I think some switching up of roles and less rigidity with regards to said roles would be nice. The reason I say Jazz is MVP is she does everything when it's needed even if it's not a part of her job at that point in time. Always trying to make sure things run smoothly if she can offer a helping hand.
Unfortunately, the commenter was wrong... The timer doesn't go away, it simply doesn't switch phases when you first deliver an item. It stays in the Waiting for Food stage instead of switching to the Food Delivery stage. So you get less time overall but less of a rush in delivering to groups. It's very useful for large groups, less so for individual seating. Made up numbers to clarify. Example without bonus: Group is *Waiting for Food* (60 seconds patience) -> 1 dish is delivered -> Group is in *Food Delivery* (5 seconds patience for the rest of delivery) Example with level 3 Affordable bonus: Group is *Waiting for Food* (30 seconds patience) -> 1 dish is delivered -> Group continues in *Waiting for Food* (still 29 seconds for the rest of delivery)
I remember reading that and that's what the commenter meant, they explained it clearly. Ash probably misunderstood it, he did understand but explained it too briefly, read it too fast and lost some details, or he read a different and less explained comment
@@DarkAftershock It's possible Ash misunderstood or misrepresented the comment but how do you know who the commenter in question is? I've seen several comments about that mechanic in previous videos and there were misguided ones among the rest. It might just be that we, freemium commenters, were wrong again. Whichever the case may be, this one can serve as explanation for the mechanic. I live for the day I'll see Stumpt get it right. I fear it will never come...
@@BeaSDT You're right, I don't know what the specific comment is but my guess is its similar to how I stumbled upon it cause it's usually the most common way. It's in the episode where price explained it while also saying he's not sure but the group went with it. I went to the comment section for clarification cause the upgrades don't usually have that big of a down side. So one of the top 3 or 5 comments explained it nicely and it made sense to me. This was under 5 hours of them posting that ep which is usually the time they read comments (around an hour after posting). I'm not confirming what I read was true, I'm just saying it explained more than what ash mentioned. There are misguided ones but they're rarely at the top 5 or 8 comments unless it was just recently posted
Charming (home-y) DOES NOT make them stay longer! There seems to just be a misunderstanding about what the themes do exactly. Charming (home): 3 pt -- Increased bell patience: This makes the table less demanding that you take their order right away. They still decide what they want just as quickly, but this means not losing by not taking orders. 6 pt -- Patience decreases slower when player is near table: This means all patience bars (not non-bar ones like deciding and eating) deplete more slowly, giving you more time to reach the table *if you need it*. If you have a hosting stand so they queue inside, their queue patience will also deplete slower. In other words, it makes them less likely to fail by bars running out. They don't, however, take any longer to think or eat, which are the only mandatory times. 9 pt -- Customers will sit at tables before being cleared: This means they won't care that the table has a mess on it, or that it has pre-served food on it. They'll sit down anyway, meaning you're less likely to fail by not clearing a table fast enough. Overall, Charming is about ensuring you don't fail by patience bars timing out. Nothing makes them stay longer. It's good on long or complex meals to cook. Affordable (burger): 3 pt -- Decreased eating and deciding time: This makes customers eat faster and choose what they want faster. When they're done choosing, they move to bell phase where they're waiting for someone to take their order. So they sit down and know what they want much sooner. Once given food, they eat faster, too, allowing for faster customer turnover. 6 pt -- Table consumables have a chance to be reused: With a faster customer turnover, this allows you to put down napkins etc and not need to take new napkins to the table so soon after placing them. The name of the perk is self-explanatory. 9 pt -- Halves plate time, but no tray phase: This one is "kind of" a bad thing, in that customers will get made if you take too long to bring the first food to their table. But it never goes into tray phase, meaning you have as much time as you need to bring the next dish or to correct a mistaken order. This gives you the ability to freely serve multiple customers at once based on what is ready without having to worry about gameover while your cook can just keep turning out food after food. Overall, Affordable is about quick customer turnover, letting customers get in and out of the door faster than others. It's good on quick and easy meals to cook. Formal (tie): 3 pt -- Decrased mess: Customers make less mess. Good when you have split attention already and just do not have time to clean up messes. Third perk is even better. 6 pt -- Bonus patience when delivering food: Also does what it says. Less likely to fail from the bar depleting. They will not take longer to eat or decide, as these are not bars. 9 pt -- Table creates no mess: Even better than first perk. The table just makes no mess. No need for napkins, expanded mess range and more mess cards have no effect here. Overall, Formal is about tidiness, giving you more time to do other things instead of cleaning up. Keep in mind there's a Formal decoration that has an effect that increases the time you have to bring first food to the table, but makes them more needy that the whole meal be served at once. Avoid that one decoration only. Exclusive (diamond): 3 pt -- Increased queue patience: Customers waiting for a table are willing to wait longer. The patience bar for all queues (inside, outside, bad weather, nighttime) will decrease slower. Waiting to get a table is worth it. 6 pt -- Extra gold per item delivered: All food you serve is worth more, so you get more money. The high price is worth it. 9 pt -- Queues stop table patience decreasing: If there's any queue at all (inside, outside, whatever), all table patience bars just outright stop decreasing. This doesn't increase time to eat or decide, because again they are not patience bars. The patience bars for waiting to have order taken, waiting for first food to arive at table, waiting for the whole order to arrive at table, as well as repeats due to starters, deserts, or all you can eat will just never deplete. Your only time limit is the queue time, which gains more time whenever a party is seated. This pairs well with rushes and larger groups. Overall, Exclusive is about making people wait to eat your overpriced food. It decreases likelihood of failing by having a long queue, and means no failure from seated customers so long as you have a queue. Neutral: In addition to themed decorations, there are two neutral decorations, one of which used to be tied to Charming, which I believe is where the confusion comes from. Plant -- +10% all patience: Every patience bar (again, not deciding or eating) is increased 10%, depleting slower. (This is not the Tidy Plant, part of the Formal theme) Calm Painting -- Double deciding and tray time: This one neutral does make customers stay longer. In exchange, you have twice as long to bring the 2nd, 3rd, etc plates. Tray phase begins the moment you serve the 1st plate to a table. Every plate you serve after increases the time on this phase. The phase ends successfully after serving the last dish of the order. If you frequently have to deal with customers making complex orders and having trouble bringing the whole order to the table, this MIGHT be worth it, but never EVER get more than one, as deciding time will get longer and longer. When you guys first started, failing the tray phase was the most common reason a run would end. If you avoid the Calm Painting (neutral) and the Vase (formal), nothing will ever make a customer stay longer. You are safe to choose any decoration theme. Choosing a theme for the effects should be based on what kind of food you are making and what cards you will be taking. Each of them grants *positive* effects at each level.
Mod that tells you the orders on top left of the screen. Mod that makes sound when you are about to lose/ something burned/ lost a heart/ burn something. Mod that show you all the item rather than wait for it to be available to buy. Mod that show you clear highlight on what item/table you are pointing at. Mod that let doors stay open by choice.
In bone cafe you play, there is a bar on top left showing all orders, I think the developers should add same thing in this game as well to ease understanding what are the orders
In maps with multiple entrances to the kitchen I think it would be better if the plates are placed at the door to turn it into a counter. Avoid the door issue.
The biggest issue I think y'all ran into was that you didn't do much to speed up the serving process. I think it probably would've been smart to try and get Jaz to serve some so you could get people in and out quickly. But that kitchen was running very efficiently! Price really got into the groove there!
As a non-premium commenter, I do not think that the charming effect/bonus/traits cause the costumers to stay any longer than you than you take to serve them. I believe Price is referring to an ability that the chamming trait used to have where costumers would wait longer before ordering food and I BELIEVE it is no longer in the game. Charming can be really good if you learn how to work around it.
Price is right about the distance being the problem with dishes. I will reiterate a comment I've made before: do the dishes in the restaurant as close to the tables as possible, and let the servers handle plating (with the plate stack also being in the restaurant).
The secret that Ash doesn't know is that Aenne is actually telling the truth, and all of those "steaks" he is seeing is just a bunch of ground up ham that Aenne has reshaped into a steak shape and dyed with a bunch of easter egg coloring. I'm onto you, Aenne!!!😄😄😄
Price should allow the other to do the cooking too. When he plays solo, he can be a chef all the time. This is a team play, it is only fair they can try all the roles
I really think the big issue was the amount of options that steak gives you to deal with, everything else you don't get 3 options til like the 6th day at the earliest
Hahaha I really do like when I can see the little goofy characters react to how you’re speaking. Like when Aenne reveals that Price is a sass waiter and he books it. Very funny. 😇
You guys should really try turning doors into serving windows, especially in big maps or even when there's multiple doors/paths. Would really help with not having to deal with going through doors just to clean/put plates in the plate stack.
Glad I was right w/ my comment on Price's channel about the bug having been fixed. Had the hob been replaced by the microwave after he showed such faith in me and said sth about premium commenters on his channel. Imagine the sass from the other 3 if it had turned out wrong.. :P
lol the immediate run right after I commented on price always staying in the kitchen and making sure all the difficulty goes to his partners while he continues to play at lvl 1 difficulty, and now I'm FINALLY seeing more comments that want price to gtfo of the kitchen
Only watched about 10 mins so far (will continue later). Aenne is so much fun with serving talk. You go girl! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I also agree it's a good idea to let 1-2 someone elses be in charge of the kitchen and cooking. The cooking is one of the fun part so please let everyone get to do that role. It would be fair to allow others to do to do the cooking and organizing of the kitchen. They can test and trial other ideals that might not have been thought of. I'd love to see Jazzy, Ash or Aenne to be in charge of the cooking for a while. There might be some fun things that come of it. Aenne keep trying to push for a role change. 🥰🥰
Kinda random non premium comment, i've been binge watching the DST season 4 and must say that Price was way more chill as spider-robot boy, than as a chef lol
I have to stand with Aenne. I mean they are the colors. Well done/medium/etc are all just random terms. I'd like an adequate conplete steak and my wife here would like a humid steak

Has a suggestion.... where people are sitting at the bar/food delivery counter, why not move one or two counters? Like I get the server has to grab food and take them to tables. But at least two tables can sit at the bar, and jazzy/price can just deliver to them directly? It would take some of the workload off Aenne if there are too many tables to wait on. Plus it would make it faster for those two tables in a pinch, especially if they are 1 seaters. Serve them right away, then take plates off and move it to a different counter. Although I get that everyone gets so focused on their 1 job.
You unfortunately can not. This is a special playtest version that was only given out to certain people. There should be an announcement soon in the Plate Up discord regarding the full release which is scheduled to be out in the first half of the year
Sorry Aenne but I have to agree with Ash about the "orange", "red" and "brown" steak thing. I often catch up on videos while doing other things and get really confused what is actually going on with "orange", "red" and "brown" rather than "rare", "medium" and "well done". Acceptable alternatives would be "correct", "acceptable" and "inedible"
