I LOVE these 'old school' signs. Modern technology/etc can make some pretty signs... But the charm and beauty of signs like the ones you create just can't be beat.
And being able to include more modern 'insides' just makes your signs more appealing not only to look at, but to maintain.

One thing I dislike about your content is how gosh darn easy you make it all look. That sheet metal magically fits every time? And without heavily-bandaged hands? Either sorcery, or an amazing craftsman.

What an amazing build. I was totally in the dark about how you were going to add the electrics. However… I think it was a missed opportunity to add a 1-2-3 flashing string of bulbs in the rocket tail. But overall an stellar object!

5:35 Those things should bring back memories. I was a crew chief on F-106 fighter jets in the Air Force in the early 1960s, and we use them to do sheet metal repairs on the jets

I am with you concerning the use of those flat bits for punching holes in sheet metal. They get the job done in a safe manner. They are a fraction of the cost of a twist drill bit. They won't grab and screw themselves in like a twist drill will.

There are several signs like this on my area on old buildings looking to come down. It was driven by tourists and old businesses just waiting to be replaced. I'd love to get a hold of them and refurbish them, even if they are very business specific.
