Use the Frame Picker to add overlapping action to the whiskers
What you learned: The Frame Picker panel is a convenient way to manipulate a Symbol’s internal Timeline from the Timeline you are currently in.
* Often times you may need to animate in a Symbol without seeing how it relates to other Symbols on the Timeline. Creating a Layer for timing notes for specific frames can help you to know what marks you need to hit despite working in isolation.
* If a Symbol has animation already in its Timeline, like for an arm bend, or hair flap in this case, then we can use that Symbol’s Looping Properties to display specific frames of that Symbol’s internal Timeline.
* The Frame Picker panel is an excellent way to set the Looping properties for a Symbol on the timeline, since it uses a thumbnail preview of every frame to provide visual feedback.
* Be sure to check the Create Keyframe option and set the Looping type on the panel to expedite the process. In this case, we want Keyframes to hold their exposure in subsequent frames, so “Single Frame” is the best option.
* Go through your timeline and select the appropriate frames from the Frame Picker to pose out your Symbol from its catalog of available frames. This process may require some trial and error to get just right.
* Save your incremental progress as a new file.
