No, as long as the stainless steel surface isn’t coated… it will actually make the surface even shinier! So it’s a good idea to do it all over or at least extend the surface area you are working on so that it isn’t too shiny in just that one spot! Hope this helps!

However, If the scratch or cut from the knife is really deep, then this technique to remove scratches probably won't work and I'm not sure if anything can really remove deep cuts/scratches in the stainless steel. At least not that I'm familiar with

Scratches do not show up on video.
Sorry about that! I thought they did but the fridge definitely had a lot of scratches that I was able to get out the majority of them!
Now do black stainless 😭 my kid gouged the corner of my moms black stainless steel fridge, top to bottom, with a cheese grater
